Adobe seems to be playing a shell game of hide the nut. I signed up for the $9.99 photographers creative cloud-LR,PS and they billed my CC for $82.30. Some how I got switched to the "full suite." But now I don't want to deal with them at all because of the double talk from the CS people. The first CS person told me I would get a refund in 4-7 days and he would delete my CC information. He did not ( I logged into my account an the info was still there) so I call second time and was told I could not get a refund. The first CS person asked me for my CC info again so he could make a refund. I asked for a supervisor and he said the refund would be made but could not let me talk to someone in the billing dept. The language barrier was difficult, to say the lest, and I expect CC charges on my credit card to show up somewhere in Nigeria.
How does a company with such good products build a web site that needs an instruction manual to navigate and have the content designed by a 12 year old (unless they are trying to hide info). If Adobe listed the amount they were going to bill my card on my account ( I assumed $9.99) I would have seen the glitch.
I smell lots of greed. They seem to have the same marketing plan as satellite and cable TV provides.

I just upgraded to the new Adobe Reader 9.1 and it seems to me that this is the absolute worst version of reader that I have ever come across. I have yet to see something so pathetically slow when it comes to doing anything and everything. Not just one action makes this program run like ****, it would seem that all actions do. I tried to simply zoom in on an area and the only thing that was accomplished was the percent of zoom listed at the top of the screen went up and the image re-positioned itself off the ******* screen. After of course sitting there in what appeared to me as a frozen state for about 5 minutes.
Its the same thing when you attempt to do anything with this pile of garbage that adobe has released as a "new" PDF reader. I simply tried to open a file and then rotate it to the correct orientation so I could see/read it. This process took me 10 minutes. I was using 9.0 before which came installed on this brand new laptop I am using and that ran flawlessly compared to this steaming heap of ****. Seriously what were you guys doing over there when you were writing this program? Is the entire staff body taking multiple hits of ACID for lunch before return to their desks to finish writing the code for Adobe Reader 9.1? I mean seriously come on guys I could draw the PDF faster than your new version could open it. You just managed to make Microsoft Vista's release look good compared to you. Unless this was your ultimate goal you have failed so badly that it has driven me back to using a version that works, like Adobe 7.
Aside from that some one needs to either do some house cleaning when it comes to your employees (especially those in quality control, if that department exists at Adobe) and think about offering jobs to the people with some actual tallent/skill even if this means that you have to hire them for more than the slave wages that you must be paying now. I can only imagine the level of incompitance that has to be working for this company when products like this are released. A good software model is something along the lines of: Version number goes up = Product becomes better. I am not sure where the confusion came into play here, but that is how the rest of the world does it and it seems to have worked pretty good so far. From what I see you wouldn't be bad off firing all of your staff and repackaging Adobe Reader 7.0 as the new and improved Adobe Reader 10. The masses will be sure to rejoice when they receive a product from you that doesn't waste their time being a piece of **** and wastes it opening PDFs at work instead.
Get your **** together Adobe, this is just embarrassing.

I finally solved my problem by uninstalling reader 9.1, air, acrobat.com and THEN after a restart, installing a lite version of reader 9.1 from this site:

Tablets (Kindle, Galaxy, iPad) don't support Flash.

Why does Adobe sendnow work and the newest and greatest Adobe Send does not work? I wasted about 8 hours on trying to get Adobe Send to upload 269 files that amounted to 469MB. When it did not work I made a zip file and after a lot of wasted run time that did not work. The first situation gives little indication of when a file is loaded compared to Adobe SendNow. In both cases with Send it failed with a message like only the first 50 can be loaded. When I went and looked none of them had been loaded. With the zip file (I wanted to hide the individual files so they would not be counted) it appeared to work but very slowly and finally said it was done and I went and looked and it had done anything for oever 2 hours except a false "I'm runninng" indication.
Thus, I took a chance with Adobe SendNow and it works great. It never gave me a limit on the amount of files nor on the size of the complete job. It shows me one file at a time when it has finished with the file uploading it. SendNow has never given me any problems.
Why woiuld you want to change the program from SendNow to Send without the newest program being the best, fastest, user friendly program of the two? It just doesn't make sense to me. I suggest that Adobe keep SendNow working until Send is fixed. I would also suggest that SendNow and how it looks be kept, called Send, then modify Send one thing at a time until you get it to the point you need it to be for Acrobat. I have heard nothing good and now I have experienced it that Send is a piece of junk. I wasted most of my work day on giving Adobe the benefit of the doubt to find out I made a very bad decision to trust Adobe to make good decisions on the transfer of a function to another place .... both Adobe's responsibility.without making it painless for your customers that totally rely on you. Don't throw away customer confidence as it is very hard to get it back.

Yep! Verizon living up to it's contractual obligations by not releasing updates. Caveat emptor!
I think there are some reasonable expectations here to keep customer's happy. When one carrier offers upgrades there is an expectation the same will happen across all the carriers. We have seen that except Big Red.
Verizon could have said the update is in MS court months ago and stilled the voice of the disgruntled, or at least redirected it, but instead chose to be silent. Not for market share but for partial blame I think.
We will have to agree to disagree since you only see Terms & Conditions and I, see customer satisfaction.

The Adobe engineering folks DO duck in here from time to time - and that's a BLESSING! Please name any other big company where you get to interact with the engineers AT ALL. I can't. But I suspect the engineers actually have a lot oof real work to do, and their time here is necessarily limited.
Your comments are more along the line of "I pay a huge amount, for that I expect better support". These are very valid comments. But reality is different from what we may expect, and this forum is not the place to expect Adobe support participation AT ALL. In fact, the technical support people at Adobe often direct users to come here (something I've always found amusing).
At the higher level, Adobe may simply not be spending enough on support for literally millions of users. Is is greed or smart business to try to minimize support cost? That's up for individuals to decide.
I suggest you write a snail-mail letter to the Adobe president if you're not getting the support you need.

PROBLEM SOLVED. There were two versions of Flashplayer installed. I re-ran Flash Aid and it sorted the problem.

Why does Adobe refuse to provide the latest version of Camera Raw (like my Canon 6d) that could be supported in Photoshop CS5 or earlier? Its like Adobe saying you want a Camera Raw for you Camera then buy CS6 which is insulting to your customers.

Adobe's policy to to provide free updates (not upgrades) for currently shipping software, which means the current Photoshop CS6 and Camera Raw 7.x. Development on Photoshop CS5.x and Camera Raw 6.x stopped when Photoshop CS6 started shipping. While it may appear on the surface that's it's a ploy to force users to upgrade to the most recent version when getting a new camera, it's really a policy based on the technical issues of trying to provide backwards compatible software for application that are no longer being developed.
Camera Raw is a plug-in for Photoshop and as such, it is dependent on the Photoshop SDK in which it loads...it's also dependent upon the system level APIs being used by the applications. Could Adobe keep upgrading old software? Yes, but it would be a technical nightmare.
Your alternative is simply use the free DNG Converter if you want to use new cameras that weren't in existence when your old software was developed. Pretty simple really and it's not designed as insult to Adobe customers...it's actually an affirmative program to make sure current users are provided support.
The problem of new camera support for old software is really a problem caused primarily by the camera companies spawning off new cameras whose file formats are undocumented and proprietary. If the camera makers adopted a standard file format that could be opened in standard applications (kinda like DNG) then tis problem would be mitigated. You really should place the lion's share of the problem at the feet of the camera companies...

This is a peer-to-peer forum. If you want a response from Apple, you would have to contact them directly with such a question. A better question might be what are the direct and indirect duties and fees (Goods and Services Tax, Import Tax/Tariff, sales taxes, etc.) assessed by the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service and/or local tax agencies and/or municipalities for intellectual properties imported electronically. There may be quite a few agencies wanting a piece of your pie.

To the best of my recollection, that is what the Adobe rep mentioned. If you look up that phrase, the top return in Google is a PDF file explaining how it works. Good luck understanding it even if you're a CPA.

To be clear, the accounting issue called GAAP for revenue recognition states that the way Adobe counts R&D and development costs are applied to a specific product version for that version's lifetime. So, all of the Photoshop CS6 perpetual license development cost are applied against the revenue produced by that specific version. Adobe is allowed to add bug fixes and maintenance updates, but no new features for the life of that version. And, yes, this sucks for several reasons not the least of which is that the engineers are forced to try to shove as much new stuff into the most recent version and any updates that can be done prior to the end of the quarter in which a version ships because after that date, new features can't be added.
Generally accepted accounting procedures pretty much force Adobe into this accounting. Yes, there are other accounting methods that would mitigate this, and the subscription license is one such option. Since the subscription revenue os an ongoing stream, Adobe can add new features as functionality to subscription users. Unfortunately, the users of a perperual license can not get those new features and functionality, only new bug fixes.
The bottom line is that sucscription users get the added advantage of getting new features and functionality while perperual license users do not. Yep...kinda sucks, but it is, what it is and it's not really Adobe's fault...the accounting regulations I believe actually came into enforcement because of the whole Enron scandle...
I realize this sort of explanation is akin to talking about sausage making...nobody really want to know how sausage is made, they just want to eat it. Same deal with Photoshop users...nobody really want to know how Adobe has to do their accounting, but the realities dictate what Adobe can and can't do...
BTW, this all has zero to do with state sales tax...although there my be state to state differences on whether a state charges tax for software. But that has zero to do with Photoshop development.

Google collecting and storing information is an invasion of privacy! If Adobe is so free thinking and so advanced, ask if we want ******** toolbars downloaded it sucks when you think your down loading something and get a new webpage and toolbars. Dont do business this way. Its arrogant & ignorant

Adobe never installed anything on my computer I didn't want. You can always uncheck bundled software that is offered with the standard downloads, or use the offline installers that are not bundled with any 3rd party software.

Thank you for your reply.
After I downloaded Acrobat, Adobe Reader tries to control viewing of my photos. When I plug my digital camera into the PC, all the files are labeled “PDF”; the files still have the .jpg extension, though. For photos on my PC, when I try to open them, Adobe reader insists on opening them, but it can’t, and I get the message:
“Adobe Reader could not open photo.jpg because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged”
I attached several photos to an e-mail that I sent after downloading Acrobat, and I could not open the photos before sending the e-mail (in order to verify that they were the correct photos before I sent the e-mail). Adobe Reader was my only option when I clicked “open” to view a photo, and it would not open the photo.
I assume that I did something during the Acrobat download process that has caused this situation. My plan is to uninstall Acrobat and then re-install it and this will hopefully remove this situation.
Any suggestions you have about this situation would be greatly appreciated.
