Why does Adobe so often tell me my ID and password are wrong?

I'm very frequently told that my ID/password are wrong!! I change them and then soon get the same annoying message. How do I stop this recurrent problem?

The Adobe Chat sounds intriguing. Was the bottom line on the chat resolving or unresolving?
If you want to send a copy of the chat to me for private viewing, I think the better way would be to send it to me via the Adobe Forums private message system.
To do that, click on my ID at the top of one of my replies in your thread in order to open to my profile page. To the right of that page you will see an orange envelope icon with the word Message next to it. That is the route for the private message sending.
I am going to ask a moderator to remove your email link since any contact information in these threads is public, and your email address would be open to nuisances.
If you have DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc, you can rip (copy) video files from that disc and get the video Files (VOBs) to the Premiere Elements Timeline for editing and exporting. Some insists that these video files (VOBs) should be converted to MPEG beforehand. That is not necessary for Premiere Elements and the route described. If problems surface in the route cited, then we troubleshoot them for many factors. All you are going to do in process
a. put your DVD disc in the DVD/CD burner tray
b. open Premiere Elements (pre-set to DV standard or widescreen) and use Add Media/"DVD camera or Computer Drive"/Video Importer where you select your video file(s) VTS_01_1.VOB and, if large DVD content, more in that series.

    Yes, I'm able to login with my Adobe ID and password, and have done so for at least 15 years.  But the moment I use Adobe Download Assistant they're both rejected with "Error 100" without explanation.  I have tried to reset both on about 6 occasions over two days.  The rejection continues; no explanation.  In other words, I am refused a trial download of CS6 (pending later purchase).  I have had Photoshop since v3.0 and still have every version since then.  Frankly, Adobe has become a vast overfed amoebe with independently activated tentacles that are out of central control and disconnected from other parts of the empire.  This event has been happening to many other Photoshop loyalists, according to Google data, and it's becoming  more and more likely that I may abandon Photoshop altogether .  Meanwhile I'm continuing to use my CS5 and giving up any further attempts to acquire CS6.

    Try signing out and then back in again by going into Settings>Store>Apple ID:>Sign Out>

  • Why does my iMac now ask for my login and password when trying to drag anything to the trash?

    Hello,
    I have the new iMac and am now having issues trying to delete anything off my desktop. It is telling me that Finder wants to make changes when I try to drag anything to the trash. I have to constantly resubmit my login and password and then the item just disappears, does not remain in the trash to be emptied later.
    I am not sure what happened because it never acted like this. All of my software updates are current and I don't get why my Trash is no longer working as it used to.
    Any advice?

    1. Triple-click the line below to select it:
    ~/.Trash
    2. Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Show Info
    from the contextual menu.* An Info dialog should open.
    3. The dialog should show "You can read and write" in the Sharing & Permissions section. If that's not what it shows, click the padlock icon in the lower right corner of the window and enter your password when prompted. Use the plus- and minus-sign buttons to give yourself Read & Write access and "everyone" No Access. Delete any other entries in the access list.
    4. In the General section, uncheck the box marked Locked if it's checked.
    5. From the action menu (gear icon) at the bottom of the dialog, select Apply to enclosed items and confirm.
    6. Close the Info window and test.
    *If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). Open a TextEdit window and paste into it (command-V). Select the line you just pasted and continue as above.

    Adobe CC says I have an update, so I update, then a few hours or days later it says I have another update, but as far as I can tell the last dozen or so times I've done this have been the same version, 14.2.1. Patch notes don't change and the version reported in Photoshop's About dialog stays the same as well.

    Did you install the UltraStudio Device driver before Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 or after it ?

    ?? They expect you to deauthorize from that computer, but if you sell that computer you don't have access to it anymore. HELLO?? It is not that hard to activate and deactivate computers "FROM THE CLOUD" especially on a service called "CREATIVE CLOUD" because Microsoft and apple do it with Office 365 and any Mac product. I take it my only solution is to cancel my credit card??

    Before complaining that something can't be done, a simple question of HOW to do something would be better... there IS a way to deactivate a computer you don't have access to physically

    Most school's require a login to use the network, and the Apple TV has no browser to accomplish this task. It is likely not connected to the network, which is causing the error. Best to speak to the IT dept

    This is actually "specific" to this Photoshop Forum.
    I typically get responses back from other Adobe forum promptly.
    Chime in.

    The Adobe engineering folks DO duck in here from time to time - and that's a BLESSING!  Please name any other big company where you get to interact with the engineers AT ALL.  I can't.  But I suspect the engineers actually have a lot oof real work to do, and their time here is necessarily limited.
    Your comments are more along the line of "I pay a huge amount, for that I expect better support".  These are very valid comments.  But reality is different from what we may expect, and this forum is not the place to expect Adobe support participation AT ALL.  In fact, the technical support people at Adobe often direct users to come here (something I've always found amusing).
    At the higher level, Adobe may simply not be spending enough on support for literally millions of users.  Is is greed or smart business to try to minimize support cost?  That's up for individuals to decide.
    I suggest you write a snail-mail letter to the Adobe president if you're not getting the support you need.

    Oh, and I had to uninstall the whole thing anyway just to be able to get to the Internet.  Any Adobe icon I hit tells me that there is nothing attached to it.

    Why does Adobe sendnow work and the newest and greatest Adobe Send does not work? I wasted about 8 hours on trying to get Adobe Send to upload 269 files that amounted to 469MB. When it did not work I made a zip file and after a lot of wasted run time that did not work. The first situation gives little indication of when a file is loaded compared to Adobe SendNow. In both cases with Send it failed with a message like only the first 50 can be loaded. When I went and looked none of them had been loaded. With the zip file (I wanted to hide the individual files so they would not be counted) it appeared to work but very slowly and finally said it was done and I went and looked and it had done anything for oever 2 hours except a false "I'm runninng" indication.
    Thus, I took a chance with Adobe SendNow and it works great. It never gave me a limit on the amount of files nor on the size of the complete job. It shows me one file at a time when it has finished with the file uploading it. SendNow has never given me any problems.
    Why woiuld you want to change the program from SendNow to Send without the newest program being the best, fastest, user friendly program of the two? It just doesn't make sense to me. I suggest that Adobe keep SendNow working until Send is fixed. I would also suggest that SendNow and how it looks be kept, called Send, then modify Send one thing at a time until you get it to the point you need it to be for Acrobat. I have heard nothing good and now I have experienced it that Send is a piece of junk. I wasted most of my work day on giving Adobe the benefit of the doubt to find out I made a very bad decision to trust Adobe to make good decisions on the transfer of a function to another place .... both Adobe's responsibility.without making it painless for your customers that totally rely on you. Don't throw away customer confidence as it is very hard to get it back.

    Yep! Verizon living up to it's contractual obligations by not releasing updates. Caveat emptor!
    I think there are some reasonable expectations here to keep customer's happy. When one carrier offers upgrades there is an expectation the same will happen across all the carriers. We have seen that except Big Red.
    Verizon could have said the update is in MS court months ago and stilled the voice of the disgruntled, or at least redirected it, but instead chose to be silent. Not for market share but for partial blame I think.
    We will have to agree to disagree since you only see Terms & Conditions and I, see customer satisfaction.
