Why does ADOBE use the Download manager when you download from thier website??

it always seems to cause problems. Are they not aware of that?
I know people will say to download elsewhere, but I think the average user is going to try to get it directly off the website

and how does it appear when it downloads? Just that flash pop up that asks if you agree to terms, then the install button?
I may be going more this way, rather than the "normal" way. I always delete the download manager after I install the flash player anyway

To be clear, the accounting issue called GAAP for revenue recognition states that the way Adobe counts R&D and development costs are applied to a specific product version for that version's lifetime. So, all of the Photoshop CS6 perpetual license development cost are applied against the revenue produced by that specific version. Adobe is allowed to add bug fixes and maintenance updates, but no new features for the life of that version. And, yes, this sucks for several reasons not the least of which is that the engineers are forced to try to shove as much new stuff into the most recent version and any updates that can be done prior to the end of the quarter in which a version ships because after that date, new features can't be added.
Generally accepted accounting procedures pretty much force Adobe into this accounting. Yes, there are other accounting methods that would mitigate this, and the subscription license is one such option. Since the subscription revenue os an ongoing stream, Adobe can add new features as functionality to subscription users. Unfortunately, the users of a perperual license can not get those new features and functionality, only new bug fixes.
The bottom line is that sucscription users get the added advantage of getting new features and functionality while perperual license users do not. Yep...kinda sucks, but it is, what it is and it's not really Adobe's fault...the accounting regulations I believe actually came into enforcement because of the whole Enron scandle...
I realize this sort of explanation is akin to talking about sausage making...nobody really want to know how sausage is made, they just want to eat it. Same deal with Photoshop users...nobody really want to know how Adobe has to do their accounting, but the realities dictate what Adobe can and can't do...
BTW, this all has zero to do with state sales tax...although there my be state to state differences on whether a state charges tax for software. But that has zero to do with Photoshop development.

Yes, the quality and efficiency of the audio should be the same for both methods. The fact that it isn't may suggest that you have a problem on your network. Have you checked for interference.

Check the Ethernet connection to the AirPort Express. Make sure that the Ethernet connection from the Comcast modem is connected to the WAN port on the back of the AirPort Express. The WAN port is the one with the circle of dots shown over the port.

Why does Verizon overcharge the hell out of you?

So, I find out today that I have been charged $207 for this last month. I called in to ask about it and customer service was fairly nice. Although they did charge me for an "early termination fee" for the line that I had terminated a month ago ($65). I had looked up the date and I had planned that it would be disconnected after the 2 yr contract was over. However they still went ahead and charged me with this **** Fortunately the customer service agreed with me that I had terminated the line after the 2 yr contract and gave me a credit for this fee for next month. I will see if they will credit me on the next bill and I sincerely hope so because if not I am going to complain at the consumer affairs about Verizon Wireless.
Now, I also had changed my plan when I terminated that other line, so I would be getting the minimum 450 min. with unlimited text and 2G data usage as I have an iphone 4. I asked the lady on the phone and she said my bill should not be going over maximum of $110.
When I was sharing a line with that other phone I was getting charged about $145 / month and even with the $65 charge, my bill should not have been over $110 with the plan changes I have made.
I wanted to ask everyone for your opinions. Is this verizon overcharging the hell out of me? or Am I just mistaken?
I feel like this happens a lot to the customers at verizon and I've read multiple threads of them overcharging the customers. Honestly, I feel like this is total B.S as my friends with AT&T can get a better service with only $80. I am seriously considering changing my wireless provider as verizon had done this to me several times now.

Why don't the service reps let you know you are so close to the end of the billing cycle when you are in the store working with them on your order? Is there a way to import photos to the iPad and put in an album without having the photo also in the Camera Roll? I have a photo transfer app but when I import the album and photos they are also shown in the CR. When you delete them from CR they are deleted from the album too.

You can sync photos from your computer via iTunes, and each folder that you sync will get its own album : syncing photos. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next sync.
In terms of albums that you create directly on the iPad no, effectively you are just creating pointers to the photos in those new albums, so if you delete the original photo you will therefore also be deleting all pointers to it.
You could consider a third-party photo management app instead e.g. Photo Manager Pro

OK, since you are also having things go away with the PCI SATA controller, this could be a problem with either (a) PCI-X bridge or (b) the U3 Memory controller, as they are the two things in the chain between the CPU and where you are having the problems.
Do you have other PCI cards in use? If so, then if you lose contact with them, that would be a clue.
On the other hand, you seemed to indicate that even when the Tempo lost the HD, you could still see the Tempo in System Profiler? If the Tempo is still shown in profiler, then, we have a real mystery on our hands. Of course, a system log file wouldn't help because you have lost it, unless you are booting from an external FW drive.

Strange thing is I tried my origional password and it worked, it seems the Apple ID ie my email address is not transfering to the app store , as when I try to download something and it requests my password when the Apple ID box opens, the ID is still missing a letter? Im at a loss as to how this happened or how to change it, but as it s working with my old password should I be worried about it? its different to anything else On apple ID , other than the one missing letter its the same email address but a different password for each one. It seems that what ever is in my Apple ID, it wont transfer to the app store Apple ID?

I would like to get the data from this URL but at the same time I would like to be able to use readLine() method of BufferedReader in order to read the data line by line.
My question is how do I combine between these two requirements in order to reed the data from the URL?

Why does verizon take your deals away when you upgrade?

I hate that verizon takes your deals they offer you when you either upgrade your phone or you change your plan that's sucks!!!!!!! My contract is up in dec. of this year and after being a loyal customer with them for 15 plus years Im out of here!!!!!!!!!! they took my $20.00 a month internet fee and rasie it to 30.00 they offered me that just so I would sign up now they are getting getting more money from already very empty pockets then took it from me when I upgraded my phone thats not right I should be grandfathered when I upgraded because they offered it to me then my 20.00 fee for unlimited texting was taken from me cause I changed my plan and they rasied the plan so I lost that too what the ____ they dont take enough money from us as it is come on!!!!!!!!!!! And I cant cancell there service because then Im billed 250.00 for cancelling with them so either way they suck the money out of us. So goodbye verizon hello boost or at&t or who ever anything will be better then Verizon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why does Adobe Muse not have a MOBILE landscape option? This should be included!

As for connecting to your TV it depends on what input plug you'll be using on your TV. VGA, DVI, Composite or HDMI. You'll need a Mini-DVI adapter and a cable from that to your TV. If you connect the MacBook using a Mini-DVI to HDMI adapter you will probably need to use external speakers or a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA sound plugs connected to a stereo system for audio if your TV doesn't have separate RCA input plugs for audio with the HDMI plug. The Mini-DVI to HDMI doesn't carry audio and there're no audio plugs on most TVs to work with HDMI since it's expecting audio with the HDMI.

Why is the Mini 311 unavailable for purchase from this website?

I'm interested in getting a netbook, and I've heard good things about the HP Mini 311, but I can't find it anywhere on HP's website. Why is that? Has it been discontinued? (I find this unlikely, as it was only released last year, and I havn't seen any product that may have replaced it.) The older 210 Mini's are still available, so what's happended to the 311? If it's been replaced, by what?

I installed the trial version on another machine for testing. The "Updates" command is available. I launched it and used Process Explorer to determine the command that was fired. It is:

I fired the same command on my original machine (the one with the Updates command disabled). It worked, the application manager came up and I have a handful of updates to install. So, there's a workaround. Still wondering why the "Updates" command is disabled from within the application.

Using Correct Download From Linksys Website

I have a WIRELESS Linksys model WRT54GS and have lost my setup disk.
The download page at the Linksys web site asks for a "version" but there is no version noted on the bottom of my unit.
Any help????
