Why does airplay no longer work using my ipad and apple TV

After the installation of the newest iOS for both my ipad and iPhone air play no longer displays video thru my Apple TV, it does give me the ability to listen to the sound, but does not display the video. All systems are using the latest software.

Hulu plus an Amazon block their content from being used with airplay. However the video app with either your own videos or iTunes video should work correctly, is this the video app that you are referring to.
If indeed airplay does not work correctly with any of your apps..
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router.
Restart your mobile device.

    restart appletv (you can just pull the plug)
    restart the wifi router (you can just pull the plug unless the router documentation say otherwise)
    if it does not help then make sure that your wifi router is not using the same ssid (default is often netgear or linksys or whatever the brand is) as other close by wifi networks as that could result in 1 or more of your devices connecting to another network then you think they are using
    and if your wifi channel is the default if many close by wifi networks use the same channel it will cause disturbance
    and if your wifi network is running 2.4Ghz then it's a rather busy frequency dect phones, microwave ovens and tons of other things use the same frequency so if one have the option of changing to 5Ghz it's less busy == give less disturbances

    For about a month I've been unable to use the Amazon website in Safari.  Anything I click on gets an error message like;  "An error occurred trying to process your request.  Be assured we are working on this."  And Amazon can't recognize my password, and Safari says it can't recognize the website because the "certificate" is wrong.
    All this works perfectly from a tablet.
    I have emptied the Safari cache and deleted all cookies, with no result.

    The claims on the OpenDNS website that it "blocks" malware attacks such as Flashback are false. A name service does not and cannot block anything. All it can do is to selectively block queries. It's trivial for a malware attacker to evade such blocks. It's just as easy to evade the parental controls offered by OpenDNS.
    The one thing to be said for OpenDNS is that it doesn't seem to cause problems with the DNS prefetching performed by all modern web browsers, including Safari. The same can be said of Google DNS (which I'm not recommending either) and other, non-promoted, public name services such as Level3.

    As the original poster, I too had issues with my iPhone 4 (4.2.1) and Apple TV 2 playing nice. The Airplay icon was visible for music, and worked perfectly. However, when watching a video, purchased through iTunes, only the "audio" option would be selectable for Airplay. After updating the Apple TV software, everything works perfectly well. When watching a video on my iPhone and selecting the Airplay icon, one of the options is to play "video" through the Apple TV, not simply audio.
    It would have been nice to know that my Apple TV needed an update when I updated my iPhone 4 to 4.2.1.

    Until recently, I was able to watch both SnagFilms and Hulu within the Safari Browser successfully.  In both movie sites, I no longer get video and am asked to download Adobe Flash Player (which I already have 14.0.0.125) but my system indicates that Plug-In PPADI has not been installed?  Where to go to find this correct download?  When consulting with SnagFilms and Hulu, it was recommended that I download and watch in the Chrome Browser, which is successful.  However, I don't like the idea that I must run a second browser to do stuff on my Mac.  I don't have any issues with watching films under Safari within Netflix.  I am so confused.  What about the security issues with respect to running google products--do I need to be concerned if this is the only method for accessing my movie sites.

    The problem is that your Flash Player is not current. Check this to see what the current version is (vs what you have) and here to get the latest version. There is supposed to be a major security issue in the version you've got so Apple is blocking its use. In any case, don't get Flash Player from anywhere except Adobe.

    Try the following to rule out a software problem:

  • Why does the same page freeze on both ipad and iphone, but I can go to an android and it works perfectly

    I have an ipad 3rd generation 64 and iphone 5. both operating on ios 8.1.1. The problem is when I attempt to submit an order to avon, it freezes. I can fill in the numbers for the orders but only to the point of SUBMIT ORDER. I can't even log off the page..I can go through the whole process on an android phone perfectly. I don't understand why it freezes at that point.Is it safari causing  this problem? I have cleared history and website data. Restarted the devices to no avail..Probably started when updated at ios 8... believe it run ok on ios7...Any solutions to this problem will be greatly appreciated.....THX

    To add to Arron's question. I have also updated my IPhone4 with the IOS 5 and ICloud. The photo albums I had on my phone are now gone and I have recieved an email from ICloud that my storage is nearly full. When I try to access photo stream it indictes no photos. What happened to my photo albums and how do I access what is being stored.

Erst nach Neustart des PC erscheint der iMac dort wieder. So nutzt mir das gar nichts. Die Einkäufe werden automatisch auf allen drei Geräten aktualisiert.
    Sämtliche "Hilfen" habe ich durchsucht, aber ohne Erfolg. Es klappt einfach nicht mit der Freigabe.
    Vielleicht ist es ja möglich, eine deutsche Antwort zu bekommen.
    Ich kann mir auch gut vorstellen, dass ein solches Forum in Deutschland gut genutzt würde. Es ist sehr schade, dass es das nicht gibt. Aber vielleicht kommt soetwas ja irgenwann einmal. Jetzt wo auch in Deutschland an jeder Ecke Apple-Produkte zu kaufen sind und keine Exoten mehr darstellen.
