Why does Apple support not have the manual for iPad and iOS5 available? The manual on the site has none of the new features.

Has anyone else noticed that the manual has none of the new features, for example iCloud in it? The iPhone iOS5 manual is correct.

If you have an iPhone/iPad it may be possibel to 'Airplay' from teh Amazon Prime app on the device - no Amazon Prime in UK so I can't confirm it works. Check reviews of the app in iTunes. Airplay is not something I like much as you have to have another device to work with the AppleTV.
As to why there is no native support for Amazon Prime on the AppleTV itself, we could ask the same for any number of services, but:
1 - Apple/Amazon are competitors to some extent so they may not want to
2 - It may simply not feature in Apple's plans for the device
3 - Rights owners may not allow Apple/Aamzon to collaborate
.....and dozens more possible reasons I suspect, none of which really make sense to you an I as a consumer...

Why does front row not have simple organization?

I currently have a hard drive hooked into my macmini which is hooked up to my TV. On my hard drive I have over 1000 movies, all purchased through iTunes. However when I use front row and i goto the movie section, I have to scroll through every movie to get to the one I want. There's no way to scroll by letter, only one by one. This is horrible and takes forever. Can apple do an update that makes the right button on the apple remote for scrolling letter by letter. For example, you click the right button to goto movies starting with B, C, D, E, F, etc. Then the down button for one by one scrolling. Also, why does front row not have genres? AppleTV does. Why not incorporate that into front row? Think, Apple, Think.

You can have sub-folders in the Movies folder and arrange your movies alphabetically that way.

You probably know that mobilme goes away in June this year. There are two ways to access your mail account on iCloud, either through Lion or via the web. Web access won't get you to all the benefits of iCloud but will allow you to get to Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Find My iPhone. See this FAQ: http://www.apple.com/mobileme/transition.html
If you decide to go with Lion, the maximum memory you can install is 4GB, however the system will only use 3GB, which is enough to run Lion. You have encounter Activation Lock, the antitheft feature of the iPhone. The previous owner did not remove the phone from their account. The phone cannot be used until they do. Return to the store and let them sort this out. It is very unusual for someone to "forget" to disable activation lock, as it is necessary to do so to erase personal information on the phone. So it is quite likely you bought a stolen phone.

The only card reader that works for the iPad is the camera connection kit that can be used to transfer photos and videos from SD cards to your iPad. (there is no support for exporting any files or importing anything other than photos and videos)

Under Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars, What do you have set for the Default Calendar? Personal?
If you don't have it set to a Cloud Calendar it will only create the entry locally. You would need to select the iCloud Calendar specifically when creating the Calendar entry to have it sync.
Otherwise set your default calendar to be the iCloud Calendar so all entries are created there by default. And as such get synced to other devices.

No problem, Peter. iBooks Author makes a lot of things much easier than trying to grapple with a standard epub, but it also has some big limitations, like iPad only, and ibookstore only.
EDIT It's not really suitable for something like a novel, for example, although it's great when you need lots of illustrations and movies and such.

Why does Apple-T not bring up Fonts pallette in Outlook 2011?

In most apps, Apple-T brings up a palette for choosing and manipulating font properties. In Microsoft Outlook, when typing text into a Calendar appointment for example, this doesn't work and I have to activate it through a context menu item. How can I keep MS Outlook from hijacking the apple-T? The palette works fine in the Calendar text field, so I know it's not incompatible, it's just the keypress that doesn't work. Any way to make it work as in other programs?
