Why does cam size keep changing?

I am not sure if this post should be here...each time I test my client app, the camera settings (h & w) are different. Any idea why? It's a Creative Ultra Webcam. Ultimately I will be using a Canon XL2 but using the webby for testing.
I close the test, and restart it, then the settings are good.

It's possible, if so I assume I can turn that off in the app's software? It sounds like this could be something related to the web
cam and I wouldn't have this issue with the XL2...do you agree?

I have just recently bought photoshop, When I use the magnifier, it sometimes zooms on the left mouse button and zooms out on the right mouse button. Other times it dosn't do this. Why does it keep changing and how do I get it to stay on L/R button zoom?
I have just created my new site that has many English teachers on Skype All this was done using Photoshop cs6 but I had the problem with the zoom the whole time!!

WDS-Why does my rate keep changing?

I have a WDS network with one remote base station. So I expect the ability of the throughput to be cut by 25%. Thats no big deal to me cause the possible rate is 54 with my g devices and a 25%cut in ability is well above the 7Mbps we are buying.
My question. In Airport utility/Advanced/Wireless Clients I see the rate of the Main Base Station is 54. But the rate of the Remote Base Station is sometimes 48 or 36 or 24. Why does it change?

Oops, right. Sorry my first post was wrong, the WDS reduces throughput by half with each relay or remote.

Why does font size automatically change

For my church work, I have created mini-presentations with lyrics. I then copy them into my service master. A number of times the font dramatically increased in size from the the file I am copying into the master. I mean like from 28pt Helvetica to 108pt Helvetica. I can go back and manually change it. But its a pain and just not right. W

Copying them into same version of Keynote (6). Open up the source file. Highlight the slides. Drag them over (they nicely fold into one sort of pile .. nice effect). Put them where I want them to go. POW, the font goes super-size ... but not always. Let me modify that ... not all my songs do it. I need to do some experimenting around to see if the same files do it all the time. I have a library of 75-100 songs so I need to do some testing on purpose. Don't know if it make a difference but I created most of them on my iPad and then work with them on my Mac. But compatability was the main point of Keynote 6 .. or at least I thought.

Why does my layout keep changing when I make simple changes?

I have made minor changes like changing the font size of a text style and my whole layout spreads all over the place when I publish it. I've tried to add a small section of copy and then all the text on that page squeezes into the first column of my layout. I spend hours tweaking just to add a small amount of text to one page of my website. I published the whole site to make sure all the appropriate was updated. I didn't have this problem a month ago when I published the site live the first time. Did one of the updates cause this or what?

All you need to do is to disable all the unwanted keyboards of different languages from Settings - General - International - Keyboards
Now press edit and delete all the unwanted languages. Keep only the keyboard you want and you will not see a globe icon in the keyboard so you won't tap it accidentally

Why does Mountian Lion keep changing my computer name?

We have 2 iMacs. Both on Cloud but not in the same building, One is running Lion and the other is running Mountain Lion. When I installed Mountain Lion, the second computer decided it needed to be known as iMac (2) but at least once a week it decides that iMac (2) is in use and needs to be changed to iMac (3). I have talked to support and we thought it was fixed but it is not and just happened again. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Claudia

Thanks, I just changed it to iMacMLion --- odd that the padlock was off as it had been on. Locked it and then it says that the computer will be referred to as iMacMLion.local on our network. Will report back in a week as solved. Appreciate your guidance. Claudia

Why does "My Info" keep changing on my devices?

My wife and I both have an iPhone and iPad (iOS 5.0.1) synced with a Mac (Lion). We want to have all of our calendar, contacts and information synced over so we use with one iCloud account. And it syncs beautifully and almost instantaneously as well.
Here is the problem. Now that we are using iMessage on all devices, each of our devices switch back and forth in "My Info" seemingly randomly so that her devices sometimes switch to my address card in "My Info" and vice versa. The email addresses connected to the corresponding iMessage work fine, but sometimes the icon/avatar and also the "My Info" link switch back and forth. This happens on my Mac as well.
We like having all of our iCloud information synced to one account for information, but "My Info" switching back and forth randomly is annoying. Does anyone have a suggested fix for this?

Why does my router keep changing names?

I go to the Linksys URL, http://192.168.1.1/, I give my WRT54G router a unique name--say, Roxanne--and I give it a solid password and disable its broadcast. All is well. Then, a few days later, my PC fails to connect. When I plug in a cable and go back to the Linksys page, I see that Roxanne is no longer the name. The router has renamed itself "linksys," and so my PC no longer connects automatically. This happens no matter how often I change the name back. Any ideas?

You router is getting reset. It is either defective or a power issue. Try this, press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds and release. Wait 30 seconds and power cycle the router. Now go back and reconfigure the router from scratch. Put the router on the same power as your UPS system which handles the computer.
If the problem occurs again, upgrade/re-flash the firmware in the router and try again. If it fails again, most likely the router is defective.

I'd had a crazy long all-nighter session sorting out images for a client, then decided - when I should have simply gone to bed - to set up the new photoshop. At the very start I made a silly mistake, tried to sort it out then decided to call it a day, responding to your remarks with the problem still in my head but feeling more and more tired.
Responded again to your comment earlier with the problem still in my head but not in front of me on the screen - however with a fresh head I just turned it all on, opened up PS and today could instantly see what was going on - Oops!

Why does paintbrush size and tools change with zooming?

Why does the paintbrush tool change sizes when zooming in and out? It's so annoying. Is there a way to fix this? Btw I use version CS4. Does it happen to all the other tools? I tried them it seems not but I can't tell unless it's a big difference in brush size like the paintbrush tool. Thanks for any help!

I was going to answer the same Rob, but then I tried it and found that it doesn't do that. If I draw a stroke with the paintbrush and then zoom in, the brush remains the same size and if I draw another stroke it is thinner than the first and so on as you zoom in further.
I think that is what the OP is asking about... since the paint brush is not working with lines, the thickness of the stroke probably is not treated a a pixel-based property, more as a fill, so the thickness of the stroke does change on the stage relative to the coordinate system, getting thinner as you zoom in, but the tool/stroke itself stays the same size to the user -- meaning... if it looks like it's 1/4 inch thick relative to holding a ruler to the screen, you will see it as being 1/4" thick on your screen regardless of the zoom factor.

If you change batteries while the computer is still active then it takes for ever to re connect.
