Why does CAPI make OCSP URL Retrivel for Expired Certificates

I have noticed in our online responder logs that expired certificates are being checking for revocation. We publish OCSP URL's by Group Policy. Is it intended for CAPI to check expired certificates for revocation? What would be this point of this. Is it
possible to disable this?

Why does klibc make such a difference for v86d?

I decided to use uvesafb again, having built it for the first time in 2010. However, it gave a horribly corrupted image with v86d from the repos. The only way I can get the console to look as good as it did in 2010 is to link v86d against klibc. Making the klibc-2.0.2 package for that purpose today was really annoying.
Before Arch used busybox, some things *needed* klibc. They would simply crash if you tried to link them against glibc and run them in early userspace without the root directory being mounted. But I'm at a loss for what is going on here -- v86d runs with or without klibc but having it linked to klibc makes it better (at least on an old ATI Rage Mobility M3).

I don't know if it's a good thing, but the fact is that process names are case-sensitive, so that two processes, respectively named "Safari" and "safari", could +in principle+ be running at the same time.
To be sure about that, I wrote a very short script that I saved as a stay-open application under the name "safari" and launched while the "Safari" browser was already running. Then I executed the following statement in the Script Editor:
*tell application "Finder" to return processes*
--> {…, application process "Safari" of application "Finder", application process "safari" of application "Finder", …}

Try doing a Dock restart using the following Terminal command:
killall Dock
Log out/in and test. If that doesn't work.
You need to look in your user Library/Applications Support/Dock for the .db. Use the Finder “Go To Folder” command. Enter ~/ Library/Applications Support/Dock. Move the .db to your desktop.
Then try a dock reset.
Applications/Utilities/Terminal enter the command
killall Dock
Log out/in test. If it works okay, delete the .db from the desktop.
If the Dock is the same, return the .db to where you got them from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
Show User Library
You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.4. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

Why does iphone has common volume control for ringer as well as Alarm? which is quite unusual. For Exp, In case i lower down my ringer for some reason instead of silent and forget to increase before i sleep, my morning alarm also remains at the same ringer level volume at which i can miss the alarm. Is it due to some specific reason or i have missed something to change in settings. Other phone like Samsung etc, they have separate volume control for ringer and to an extent, Nokia rings for Alarm even if the battery is completely discharged.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

Verizon wi fi for hot spots does not work with Windows 8. For verification go to FAQs about Verizon Wi-Fi for FiOS Internet,
http://www.verizon.com/Support/Residential/Internet/fiosinternet/networking/setup/wi-fi/124650.htm , and click on How do I know if my laptop or netbook is compatible with Verizon Wi-Fi? . Verizon wireless home network does work well with Windows 8.
Since you can't even download the wi fi for hot spots software if you have Windows 8, I don't know how to use compatability mode to get around the problem,

Why does sendRedirect change my url.
If I'm on the page www.mywebsite.com/something.jsp
and I use the response.sendRedirect("somethingElse.jsp").
Now the url that I can see on the browser is mywebsite.com:72394/somethingElse.jsp
What can I do to keep my nice url without the port number?

Thats because sendRedirect takes a full (absolute) URL as its parameter. Use request.getRequestURL() to get the original URL and construct the new one from that. You can also roll your URL from the getScheme(), getServerPort() etc. functions.
