Why does copy and paste always convert to arial 10 in firefox?

I use a web based email and auto responder system. In the past I have been able to create a document in word and then copy and paste the content into a template. The font and size, style and color would save in the document as they were in word. Now when I do the same thing, they are converted to arial 10 black.
why is that and why does firefox not support other fonts?

You can paste in any track you want, make sure the track is selected first before you paste.
Or Alt drag to any track without selecting the track first or even to a new track.

Please explain why you can't copy and paste footage (audio and/or video) into a chosen track on a sequence? It almost always pastes into a track with footage already there overlapping footage. It can't paste into a new track??? I thought this is simple logic.

Previous attempts to resolve the issue
a. have reset keyboard preferences
b. have shut down and restarted twice
c. have shut down and restarted in safe mode, then restarted to clear cache
Learning: Appears to be just for browser software.
To reproduce:
1. Go into Safari or Firefox, select the URL or any text in the window, press CMD+C.
2. Go to Word/Text Edit/Evernote or open a new tab in the browser and press CMD+V
3. Nothing happens

My guess for iPhone not supporting copy+paste..
- iPhone only supports English as the input language.
- iPhone can display multiple languages including Japanese.
- If I could copy and paste, I would have copied a text from Safari or any mail and pasted it to other apps.
I guess supporting copy and paste will not be enabled until iPhone lets you input other languages.. Any other thoughts?

I don't think copy/paste has any connection to language input support. Having copy/paste would make it easier to develop workarounds, but it's not even necessary for that. By pointing the browser at this page using javascript keyboards

You can send emails in a variety of languages.
If there were a javascript keyboard for Japanese input, you could do the same thing, but I have not been able to find one.
I suspect you may see copy/paste well before you see built-in Japanese input, because the latter requires a lot of memory space and perhaps some complex programming.

There are a range of different kinds of forms. For example, this site uses very simple controls that don't automatically convert Word's formatting to an online format. The site where you are trying to paste your resume probably works differently.
What methods have you tried using to paste? Typically one of these will work:
* Ctrl+v
* right-click > Paste
* Edit > Paste (from the menu)
Some sites offer their own buttons to paste, but for security/privacy reasons, Firefox usually disables those.

Why does cutting and pasting ordered lists no longer preserve the line numbers

I often cut and paste ordered lists from web sites (track listings) to put with my downloaded tracks. Until the last update (not sure which version I was using with ubuntu 8.04 but it would have been the latest for that distro.) the line numbers were copied along with the ordered list, but they are not any more, so I have to type them all back in manually, which is a pain.
I have uninstalled firefox 9 to try to downgrade, but don't know which version would still work.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

Why does iDisk and Yahoo Briefcase convert Word to Appleworks?

I'm able to download these stored documents and save them as Word files, but I'm wondering why these two storage websites convert doc files to Appleworks?

It's unlikely that the files are being converted to AppleWorks as that would involve translation & Word just doesn't have translators to save files as AppleWorks. I think that your Mac has "decided" that the default program to open these files is AppleWorks.
This is not an uncommon problem & the program the OS "assigns" to a file type varies. It usually happens after a system update & not using Disk Utility to repair permissions especially if the files don't have an extension or extensions aren't displayed. Highlight a known Word document in the Finder, highlight it & choose Get Info from the File menu. In the Get Info box, click the triangle next to "Open With." Click on this drop-down menu & choose Word. If Word is not a choice, choose "Other" & navigate to the Word application. Now click the "Change" button under the text that asks if you want to open all documents like this with Word. Then use Disk Utility to repair permissions.

How can I get Copy and Paste to work?

It doesn't work with the key pad, ctrl v, or in edit. Copy and paste always worked for me and just quit working a few days ago. I have not done anything different with the computer- no new programs, setting changes, etc. I just can't paste anymore. Why might this have happened and what can I do? I've looked through the forums and haven't found any real solutions. It's really frustrating to get anything done without that function!

did you mean Command-V rather than Control-V? (Control-V is used for pasting in Windows.)
Have you been able to confirm that it is pasting that is not working, rather than copying not working? (If copy doesn’t work, then there would be nothing to paste.) Try cutting with Command-X, then pasting; does the pasting work then?
In the Keyboard pane of System Preferences, have a look through the Shortcuts section. Has any other shortcut been set to use Command-V (or Command-C, if it’s actually a problem with copying)?

Having Trouble Copy and Pasteing Local Variable in LabVIEW 2010

I am Having Trouble Copy and Pasteing Local Variable in LabVIEW 2010 in s subVI.
I have a VI that has a Local Variable called "Node Addr". I can select it OK, and it appears to Copy OK, But when I go to paste it, nothing appears. It doesn't matter if I use Cntrl-C Cntrl-V or the Copy and Paste from the Edit menu, I get the same results. I tried many times and got the same results. I made sure that I had click a paste location. I can insert the Local Variable if I use the Data Communication panel.
On one of the Paste, I got an error in the error list that said that a Local Variable was not connected to anything. When I clicked on the error, it took me to an insible item in the lower right corner of the block diagram that had nothing but a select box around it. I couldn't select the invisible item, but I could delete it.
Why does the copy and paste of this local variable not work?

The Data Communication panel is one of the panels that shows up in the Functions pop up list when editing the Block Diagram. It is the panel that includes the Local Variable function.
I don't know if the invisible item that was inserted in my block diagram was hidden or not. All I know is that the Errors List said that it was a Local Variable and that it was not connected to anything. I couldn't select it to get more information. All I could do was delete it.
You did not address my questions about why the Copy and Paste does not work properly for my Local Variable. Maybe it's a sign from the Software Gods not to use them LOL!..
So if I understand correctly, you are trying to copy & paste the Local Variable from within the same VI. How large is your block diagram? Did you try right-click on the variable and select "Find > Local Variables"? If it's a block diagram larger than 1 single screen (which it shouldn't), then it is possible that the Local is hiding beyond the screen. You should find it as I described earlier.

How do I copy and paste multiple keyframes?

I've used previous versions of Final Cut in the past, but primarily have done my editing with Adobe Premiere. One of the companies I am freelancing for only has Final Cut X on their machines. I'm a bit confused about keyframes. Keyframing in the inspector seems severely limited. I could use some help.
Basic example: Say I want to zoom and pan into an image... then have it sit there for 5 seconds... then zoom and pan back to its original location. I can't figure out how to do this at all with Final Cut X.
In Premiere I would accomplish this extremely easily.
#1 I'd set my playhead at the location I'd like START my zoom IN/pans and set all my necessary keyframes.
#2 Then i move my playhead to where I'd like to END my zoom IN/pans, change all my parameters and this sets my necessary keyframes.
#3 I move my playhead further to where I'd like to START my zoom OUT/pans to where it originally was... and set all my necessary keyframes
#4 I move my playhead to where I'd like END my zoom OUT/pans to where it originally was... and simply copy and paste my keyframes from step 1...
The reason why I copy and paste my keyframes from step 1 is because often my parameters are very specific. I'm not necessary zoomed in 100% at the beginning with my position set exactly where it needs to be. Say, for instance, I'm working with an image that is zoomed at 75% and perfectly positioned at some random position somewhere in my frame... without the ability to cut and paste keyframes, I'd have to go back to keyframe 1 and write down all the parameters... then go to keyframe 4 and re-enter them. Massive pain in the butt.
How is this properly accomplished in Final Cut X? I can't even see my keyframes on the timeline... every tutorial I've found just says "set keyframe 1 and keyframe 2 in the inspector" and that's incredibly limiting.

That is kind of a bummer, really. Maybe I'll need to adjust my workflow, but it seems like it's a MASSIVE drawback of Final Cut X.
For example:
Say I have an image on the screen at with Postion X: 97.3px and Position Y: -69.3px with the zoom set to 136.3%... (keyframe 1)
And say I want to move that image across the screen to Postion X: 32.5px and Position Y: -23.5px with a zoom set to 85.3% ... (keyframe 2)
Then say I want to let it stay in that position for 10 seconds ... after 10 seconds I'll set more keyframes by clicking the appropriate keyframe buttons and the settings will once again be set for Postion X: 32.5px and Position Y: -23.5px with a zoom set to 85.3% ... (keyframe 3)
Now say I want it to go back to the original position and zoom.   In premiere I'd just highlight all my keyframes from Keyframe 1 and paste at the new location of the playhead... with Final Cut X, i'll need to go back to Keyframe 1 and literally write down on a piece of paper: 97.3, -69.3, 136.3% ... then go back to Keyframe 4 and type them all out.   This is just a simple example, though.   The more individual parameters I'm setting at specific points... the bigger pain this will be.   Lame.
Even with the link you shared... it appears to be completely amature compared to the keyframe editing capabilities of Premiere Pro. In searching a bit on google to confirm the lack of features, I found someone else complaining:
"You cannot expand any parameter that has more than one attribute (like crop or scale or position) - making it useless.
You cannot add bezier handles to keyframes
You cannot copy and paste keyframes
When you copy and paste attributes, you have no choices as to how they will be pasted, etc... it is dismal.
All in all, it is a step backwards from FCP"
Personally, I'm a bit surprised... the more I learn about Final Cut X, the more I am starting to like it. I know a lot of professionals hated it when it initially came out, but I chaulked it up to unfamiliarity with the new software.   For me, this keyframing thing is by far the biggest drawback I've found to yet.

Cannot copy and paste in Firefox, text or graphics

recently updated to ver 22, , and started noticing that I can no longer copy and paste from sites I visit since the update. I can copy and paste from Chrome, IE, and other software within my PC. This appears to be only a problem with Firefox. Have used all of your suggestions for troubleshooting and none of these work for me. I am using Windows XP Pro, with an AMD dual processor, 4gB memory and plenty of available disc space. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Do not know if the update had any thing to do with the problem. Thanks

I am using the latest updates of Windows 7 and Windows 8 on three separate computers, each with the latest update to Firefox and with the latest update to ZoneAlarm. Just as everyone else here, I can no longer copy and paste when browsing the Internet using Firefox. IE 10 does not suffer from this issue. I have deleted ZoneAlarm from both browsers, but the problem continues in Firefox 22.0.
Am growing more and more frustrated.

you just login your quality system
and go to command prompt
then use this commends
add to buffer all qid pf=your profile path of your qa system
if you want single import
tpimport requestnumber targetsid clientnumber pf=targetprofile path
if you want mass import
tpimport all targetsid clientnumber pf =target profile path

Copy and paste titles wasn't supposed to automatically create a new title since the last update ?

I thought that one of the updates during this year for premiere includes the smart idea of using titles the same way that FCP does, copy and paste creates a new title so when you change the content it will not affect the original title.
but I just did copy and paste and it still using the same title asset so when I change one it affect it other one.
please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong.

Copy and Pasting Script

Not quite sure where to post this so pardon me if you see it multiple times. What I am trying to do is copy multiple different lines from one word doc and paste them into another word doc, without repeatedly doing copy and paste. Lets call one doc form A and one doc form B, say there is a heading under form A which says “Facility Name” and a heading in form B that says “Facility Name”
A heading on form A that says, “Address” and a heading in form B that says, “Address”.
So on and so forth I would like some simple way with a script or something to copy all the different Heading information from one doc to the other. Without continually doing copy and paste 50 times like I am doing now. Any good ideas?

I believe you can do it. I do not know if it works in Word. I do not have the latest version and scripting previous versions of Word is basically doing VB. However....
...here is my idea. Say you have 2 documents with 3 forms, Form A, Form B, Form C, to read the input of Form A in document 1 (source) you can use text item delimiters.
Initially,
set mytext to read _source
set text item delimiters to "Form A"
set contentsof_formA to text item 2 of mytext
set text item delimiters to "Form B"
set contentsof_formA to text item 1 of contentsof_formA
--- you got the contents of Form A
To put it in document 2 (target)
set mytext1 to read _target
set k to (offset of "Form A" in mytext1) + 3
set mytext1 text 1 thru k of mytext1 & contentsof_formA & text (k+1) thru -1 of mytext1
--- you've put the text where you want it.
Now, as I said, it might not work with Word. You could try TextEdit. But may be reading the text in Word will work.
This is left as an exercise!

C/P copies only elements from the notation model. The newly created Node
is linked to the original semantic element. Is this expected behavior?
If so, the Paste command should be renamed to "Paste Link" or something
like this, to not confuse users.
