Why does Crash Reporter appears at startup?

I use Firefox 3.6.21 with Mac OS X 10.4.11.
I shut down my Mac computer. The next time I turn the Mac on, I get a Crash Reporter screen. I have to quit Crash Reporter to be able to use my Mac. Is there any way I can avoid this? This happens since I tried to download Firefox 8 which is not compatible with my Mac system 10.4.11, I had to re-install Firefox 3.6.21, Can you help me solve this problem? Tnak you! I had the exact same problem - it appears that I had loaded a digital camera driver which for some reason caused iPhoto to load at startup. I removed the driver, rebooted and it all works again (iSight also works and no longer says "camera in use by another application".
The driver was in System -> Library -> Image Capture

Firefox crashed and now will not start. Cannot create new profile or start in safe mode because Mozilla Crash Reporter appears and will not restart.

Browing the web, Firefox crashed. Typical "this is embarrassing" window appeared and I could choose to restore or start new session. I tried to restore, and nothing happened. Mozilla Crash Reporter appeared, the option to quit Firefox seems to work but restarting just brings back the Crash Reporter. Maybe you did't understand my previous statement. There are no crashes in FF 3.6, There is no previous evidence FF 14 was ever here, I completely uninstalled all trace of Firefox, no app data, no preferences, no cache. I will upgrade to FF14 so I can send IDs,

Firefox crashes without the crash reporter appearing

I have a new Macbook Pro with the latest version of Lion, Firefox Beta (14), and two or three times over the past 3 weeks since I got my new computer Firefox has crashed randomly.
The Apple crash reporter appears, but the Firefox one does not. about:crashes is completely empty and it's like Firefox doesn't even know it crashed.
What can I do to debug what happened and prevent it?

I used Firefox 13.0.1 for a week and I didn't have a single crash, but the 14.0.1 was released yesterday. I updated and it took until today for me to have a repeat of this crash. The full browser goes down while in the middle of surfing, and the only crash reporter is the Apple one.
about:crashes is still empty :/
I couldn't find any clues in the Apple crash report about what the problem might be.
By the way, it's not a plugin because I have them all disabled.
Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Why does 'Guest User' appear in a foreign language when logged in as guest? It's not a major problem but it would be nice to be able to fix it, and to understand how it happened.
Everything else is in English (or set to English) as far as I can see, and my Macbook is only a couple of weeks old. All system updates have been performed and permissions have been repaired.
It displays it in Finnish (Suomi) as 'Vierastilin käyttäjä' only when logged in, in the System Preferencess user list and apple menu (where you would normally select 'Log Out Guest User'). I cant find anyone else with the same problem online. I am in the UK, purchased the Macbook on the UK Apple Store online, and I have never been to Finland or selected anything to do with Finland or its language. Everything else is in English.
I should add that 'Vierastilin' showed up instead of 'Guest User' on the OSX login screen on the first day I had the Macbook, but this seemed to fix itself somehow soon after.

Okay, tried that, lots of variations including deleting all other languages and only using Finnish, and then using only British English etc - when guest is in Finnish the whole lot becomes Finnish/Suomi (see attached photos to compare with the ones above) - then when you delete Finnish and go back to English, everything is Englisg apart from 'Vierastilin käyttäjä' as above.
Any other ideas where it stores that info - is there a dodgy preference file somewhere which needs zapping?

Ok, I solved it.
I followed this steps:
1- Turn Off Wi-Fi from the Wireless menu item
2- From the OS X Finder, hit Command+Shift+G and enter the following path:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/
3- Within this folder locate and select the following files:
com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
 com.apple.network.identification.plist
com.apple.wifi.message-tracer.plist 
NetworkInterfaces.plist 
preferences.plist
4- Move all of these files into a folder on your Desktop called ‘wifi backups’ or something similar – we’re backing these up just in case you break something but if you regularly backup your Mac you can just delete the files instead since you could restore from Time Machine if needed.
5- Reboot the Mac
6- Turn ON WI-Fi from the wireless network menu again

The camera icon appears so that you can take a picture quickly without having to enter your password. It is not responsible for the shutter sound. The Touch always made that sound when manually closing or going to sleep even with older iOS that did not have the camera icon.

Anytime you have photos in the Camera Roll album on your iPad your computing assumes you will want to copy them. If you don't want to copy those photos then just quit Image Capture or whatever other program starts when you connect. Then start iTunes and go from there.

Firefox crashes and the crash reporter appears in my screen

Hello,
Crash reporter appears when I am trying to open the browser. I click on Mozilla's shortcut but no website opens..just the crash reporter appears the following message:
"Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts."
It happened after I downloaded and installed some exe. files like live.ID etc.(It's for watching football games just with network access). After that I restored twice my computer at earlier time periods when firefox worked perfectly but still the crash report appeared.
It's really important for me to get back my bookmarks and passwords since I am an MSc student at the end of my course and time wasting at such a critical time period for my studies could be disastrous!!

your crashreport say that you are using Firefox 9 beta, please try Firefox 8 and check
