Why does Edit mode shift content?

When ever we go into edit mode the navigation shifts out of place.
We've noticed that Contribute CS5 is adding extra code to the live page which doesn't appear in the files on our computer.
This is the code that's being added that seems to be causing the issue.
(<p style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;"> </p>).
Is there a fix for this?

This issue was resolved by changing the Paragraph Spacing option setting in
the Administrator Setting area (as Dominic mentions). Thanks for the quick
feedback and link to resolve it!
It does not seem obvious to me why this setting should cause the issue that
we were seeing. Not that I need to understand the mechanics behind why this
is the case, but in order to help other people resolve this issue if they
encounter it I'm wondering if you can elaborate on the paragraph spacing
blog... either by adding a section on "Related Issues" or tag it with
keywords like "extra spacing", "contribute inserts code", "spacing issues",
etc.

Because whoever programmed it must be ********, I've dealt with this issue long enough. I've sent Apple feedback on this issue long ago and nothing has been done yet. The only work around is to try and remember that every time you double click in the punch line to hit the c button to turn it off before you start recording or you have to drag your punch line around all the time, what a pain in the ***.

Why does "Edit In..." sometimes not connect to Photoshop?

Why does "Edit In..." sometimes refuse not open the file(s) in Photoshop? This happens with any of the functions from LR5 to Photoshop CC, on MacOS 10.7. Usually works again after restart, which sounds like a memory issure or something like that.

Not sure why, not without more details.
Is Wi-Fi turned on? Does the iPhone 5 see the network?

Managing icons of new/edit/refresh on inline edit mode of content presenter

I have a content presenter, which shows content from ucm. I have enabled in-context editing and I can see new/edit/refresh icon if I press ctrl+shift+c. I want to remove new icon. I also want to provide a new icon to archive content. On click of that icon I want to run my custom code written in bean.
So my question is there anything to disable new/edit/refresh features.
How would I add my icon (link) in this list?

Hi, I am stuck with this.
Content presenter is showing 'New', 'Edit' and 'Refresh' icon when page is in edit mode.
I want to hide 'New' icon and also want to show my 'delete' icon after framework provided 'Edit' icon. I would like to call my ridc api on delete icon. Is there any way to achieve it?
I tried putting 'delete' icon in template but it appears below refresh icon. I want to make it in same line as other icons.
I am also fine if there is a way to hide all framework provided icons. I would create my own.

Why does the screen shift to the last tool position

I have a large diagram, so it involves sliding the screen back and fort to see the whole diagram.
If I wire an item then slide the screen over to select another item, the item is selected, however, the screen shifts automatically back to were the previous tool position was. Then I have to re-slide the screen to see my newly selected item. It does this all the time with a large diagram.
Why does LV do this?

Save the vi, even though the title does not show "*", but save it just after your move your screen and want to maintain that view.

Why does my pages shift position?

I have built a site (kensdigitalart.com). On the local machine I built the site on the pages always display in the same position. Once uploaded and viewed on other machines some of the pages shift position slightly. What is the best way to prevent this from happening?
Eveything is in a table. I originally set the page properties so the table would be centered. This resulted in some page shifting on the local machine. I adjusted the margins on a number of pages to make the site display properly on the local machine. I realize it will be necessary to put all settings back to zero to fix the problem. Since the table width is the same on all pages and it's set to center the table why is the table moving on some pages?
I am relatively new to working with Dreamweaver and apologize for asking what may be a simple question. Thanks for any input.

You haven't given us a link to your site so it is impossible to be specific. The ideal place to put the code is in your style sheet so that it propages to all your pages assuming the same style sheet is used for all. Why does editing the spry horizontal menu on my template alter the spry tabbed panels on my page?

Most of the pages on my site are created using the same template I developed. Today, I edited the horizontal main menu on the template, which changed all the pages on my site correctly, except now all the pages with tabbel panels in the body are showing as a bulleted list instead of tabbed panels. Please Help!?!
In fact, there is no longer any css styles for any tabbed panels any longer...what did I do?

Why does editable disable keylisteners?

I have a JCombobox and I have made it editable. For some reason doing this disables the key listeners. I am trying to get have it get the key released and search for any item in the list that would be like that one. Sort of an autofill method. Anyone have any idea of how to have things auto fill in a JCombobox. Similar to the aim (AOL instant messanger) screen name box.

Why does edit button says 'delete' or 'apply'

In iCal when I create a new event and begin to edit it, the btton on the lower right of the event window seems to sometimes say 'delete' and at other times 'apply'. Can anybody explain why this is or if there are any rules which govern this behaviour? On more then one occassion I've entered the details of a new event (or edited an older one) and then unwittingly hit the 'delete' button and lost the lot. Driving me nuts!

Same problem. Very annoying. I have made a personnalized title using Motion. And everytime I use it in FCPX, it crashes. The worst of all : I am unable to open the current project. I have found that if I removed the preset made with Motion, the FCPX would open, but a missing title alert. S the only way is to place the title again. And after a few atempts, FCPX crashes again. And so on…
So sorry, no real solutions, but at least I don't feel alone.

I have a strict policy to NOT waste my time sifting through HTML code that's been generated by a graphics app. This code is tenuous at best. Fine for quick protypes to show a client but lousy on performance. Image Ready code is fragile and prone to falling apart this way.
My best advice: Use PhotoShop to create your images (not HTML). Use DW to create your HTML code.
If you want a quick fix for this one page, my 2nd suggestion is to copy and paste the header and menu code from a working page into the broken one. It might work. It might not.
Also, you may want to fix some of the code validation errors on all your pages paying special attention to adding a valid document type declaration to the top line of your pages so browsers won't render your site in Quirks Mode.

Why does my Left Shift +Num Keys produce Euro characters and Right Shift + Num Keys produce American?

I am running Lion (10.7.4) on my 2010 13" MBP. When I press my Left Shift and various Num Keys (1-9), I get Euro characters (⁄ € ‹ › ﬁ ﬂ ‡ ° · ‚). When I use my Right Shift, I get the standard American characters (! @ # $ % ^ & * ( )).
I have already tried restarting my computer, but this has not helped. In my language/keyboard settings, everything is set to USA. I do have multiple inputs on this machine but the flag is always on US. Occasionally, I switch to Japanese keyboards but those are not active and the problem described above appears when the US flag is displayed.

It looks like your right shift is somehow also depressing the option/alt key. I would suspect damage to your keyboard, which may need repair/replacement.

Why does edited year in an iTunes music file not permanently save.

When I edit, change, the year of an iTunes purchased song the year reverts back to the original downloaded year when making subsequent music purchases not related to the edited file.

Was I suppose to click on the "music" folder that was already in the itunes folder, or click on the "music" folder on the external drive that I thought I already copied to Itunes music. I clicked on the folder already in itunes and all it did was give me duplicates of the songs in my libary and theres some that still aren't being found.

Just to be really clear. It's when using internet recovery that I run intomthis problem. What's the point of internet recovery if as a service when you offer older versions wich can't be installed. Now I have to set back my Timemachine backup wich takes almost twice as long. Pretty annoying and not the high standard of service I'd expect from Apple.

I didn't. Apple never activated it during installation even when it actualy should. so it's a flaw on Apples part. Just glad I could activate it. When testing if I could recall the 10.8 recovery my mac mini 2012 refused to start up again, so now I'm reïnstalling again and it should do the trick. I have waranty till March 2014 so I'm going to bring it in for repair before that runs out.
I read on the following site how to activate/deactivate or remove the partition and that's how I figured out what was wrong.

I called Apple support but they couldn't help me at all. Matte of fact, they didn't even understand what my question or problem was. So I got a "you need to figure it out yourself" answer. I explained that I was calling to give them feedback on the problem but they said the never heard of it. How simple the solution seemed to be.

MBPr's are very recent machines. The oldest ones are from this past summer. Mine has a quad-core i7 2.6 GHz and 16 GB of RAM, and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5, along with the Retina display. This is more than enough system power to display HD movies, per the article you reference unhelpfully.
