When I clean up word html I notice that my keywords are deleted. Any explanation welcome.

Not sure why it does that, but it doesn't really matter since the keywords meta is ignored by all major search engines. If it's a big deal for you, just copy them before the cleanup and then paste them back in....

You're going to need to be more specific, as I'm not quite sure I understand what you're talking about.
If you're referring to copying from an external hard drive or flash drive, and you want to actually move files rather than copy them, you can hold down the option key to force it to do a "move" rather than a "copy." This is not new behavior, though... the Mac OS has worked this way as long as I can recall (and I've been using it since 1984).
If you're having a problem with trying to move files from one place to another on a single drive causing them to be copied instead, that is likely because of some permissions issue preventing you from actually being able to move them.

Cs6 dreamweaver - javascript error with Clean up Word HTML . . .

Very recently upgraded to CS6 from CS5.5. Every now and then, I have to run the Clean up Word HTML Commands function for a client. Never had a problem before. This time, I got this message:
While executing onClick in Clean Up Word HTML.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
At line 2012 of the "Macintosh HD:Applications:Adobe Dreamweaver CS6:Configuration:commans:Clean Up Word HTML.js"
The object is not currently contained in a document.
I searched through the Discussions and found refernce to deleting MacFileCache-###.dat file in the Library Configuration folder for Dreamweaver CS 6. Did that, same thing. It also mentioned deleted the entire Configuration folder. Same result.
I called tech support and was directed to go through the (count 'em) 14 steps on the Troubleshoot JavaScript page -- http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/troubleshoot-javascript-errors-dreamweaver-cs4.html. Still no luck.
Anyone else out there having this problem? What am I missing? Help!

That could be. Let me know when you have grabbed these. They were Word docs that I saved the same way I always have done (Save As, Format: Web Page (.htm)), creating .htm files that work in CS5.5 Dreamweaver and earlier versions.

Batch clean up Word HTML

I need to clean up some HTML generated by saving an Excel workbook as a web page. The Dreamweaver command "Clean Up Word HTML" seems to do a good job. The problem is that I've got 80-odd pages to clean. Doing this page-by-page is somewhat laborious, but I can't find any way of doing them all in batch. Does anyone know how this might be possible?

It sounds like you may be "synced" to an IMAP email server with your ISP. You would need to go into Mail>Preferences and set the messages to be removed from the IMAP server after some period of time so they don't redownload to your computer. That's one possiblility. Another is if you are synced with iCloud, then the mail is stored on your iCloud server backup and will redownload until you remove it.

Could you also open one of these files in Adobe Reader and choose File > Properties. What does it say next to 'Application' and 'PDF Producer'?

Why does Skype do not allow to delete conversation with single contact?

IT is a simple question only if Skype can be HONEST and answer it truthfully.. What is the reason that we can not have a feature where we can delete the single conversation with one contact. Now the option skype has does not allow that. You either delete your entire history with all contacts or you have to keep the conversation history you do not want to keep.. I mean It has to be on purpose that Skype has not allowed this option. If you absolutely do not care and will not allow this option, then at least be honest and tell us this is the reason and we can either shut up or move on to some other service... Why does it take one minute to delete a photo?

Most times, but not all, it takes about a minute to delete a photo. I get the colorful spinning ball, freezing up Aperture for that amount of time, before it's free again. This also happens doing other odd tasks, such as cropping, making adjustments, etc.
This is beyond just "needing more RAM" or "cleaning out the hard drive". I have 4GB on a brand new 15" MBP, and I have at least 20% of my drive free, so I'm set up for if not optimal performance, then at least passable.
Something is going terribly wrong here. The thing is, this happend on my old MBP (3 years old) and now again on this one (brand new). I'm wondering if something might be wrong with my Aperture LIBRARY.

If you think there might be a problem with your library the safest course of action for you to take is to one make sure you have a good working backup of your library and then to run the library first aid procedures show at Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics
As far as your system setup goes, 4gb is the bare minimum that will give reasonable performance, moving up to 8gb will most likely improve performance. You can check this out by running Activity Monitor and monitoring the swap/page outs stats.
Is the deletes that hang deleting both the master and version or only the version? Where is the library and masters stored, internal HD, external, referenced managed, etc.
Try to narrow down the circumstances that cause this to happen.

Are the offending messages from Outlook users? Outlook crams its messages full of proprietary Office-related code that Thunderbird doesn't know how to parse.
As a matter of principle, I like to copy the content of such messages and use "paste without formatting" to clean it up, so my own messages don't perpetuate the sin.

Why does iTunes create disk errors when deleting movie files?

I use a Macbook Pro, OSX 10.7.5. When I delete movie file from my iTunes library I get disk errors. I need to option boot select the recovery disk and repair the disk. Deleting a movie file I have placed on my desktop with finder does not create any errors. Most of the movie files are created as .m4v movies. They all play just fine with my Apple TV. I have tried turning off the Apple TV and rebooting before I delee files but nothing seems to work.
Any ideas?

If you let iTunes organise your media folders then that is the way it is. An option would be to change the Media Kind to TV Show which would gather them togther in one folder, but in a different part of the library.

Why does my Ipad change words as I type

No matter what app/messaging service I am using whenever I type text on the Ipad it changes the words to pure gibberish as I type them. E.g. As I typed this it changed Ipad to 'lad' , word to 'ord' and type to 'ped'. I then have to go in and edit words which is driving me nuts as you can only put the cursor at the end or start of a word, not in the middle. It takes twice as long as it needs to to get a correct sentence.
I don't want any silly predictive text like a mobile. I just want to type like on a desktop PC where what I type is what I get. I've tried everything but can't get it to stop. Does anyone have any ideas how to stop this?

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.
Also, are you using a screen protector?

UK HRMS Manager responsibility > People > Enter and Maintain
Find Person above
Date Tracked to future date eg. 01-JAN-2011
Changed Name
First Name Josef
Last Name Summers
Save record in UPDATE MODE
Checked HZ_PARTIES table again for HR person
It shows:
HZ_PARTIES shows record for person with name as
First Name Josef
Last Neme Summers
Then went into HR application again and deleted the future dated change effective from 01-JAN-2011
Then checked HZ_PARTIES table again for HR record
HZ_PARTIES still shows below even if the future dated change has been deleted - why?

Why does a clean new Lion install seem to leave older & incompatible versions of certain utilities in place?

After upgrading to Lion from Snow Leopare I can't run Migration Assistant (which is v3) and Disk Utility (v11,5,1) warns it may crash... I've tried reinstalling Lion, running Software Update, deleting the apparently older version utilities, nothing works!
Any ideas gratefully received please.

If you did a "clean install" (erasing the volume then installing Lion), nothing would have been left.
If you did an upgrade, the only way those apps would be left would be if you'd moved them from their default locations in /Applications/Utilities before upgrading.
Most likely, you've got both versions; the new ones in /Applications/Utilities, and the old ones somewhere else. If you had them in your Dock, or other places such as Finder sidebars, or alias anywhere, delete all those and empty the trash.
Then find the new ones in /Applications/Utilities.
That's just one of the reasons you should not move apps from their default locations. Another is, some won't get updated by Software Update.

Why does iOS application keychain values are deleted after upgrade?

During upgrade testing for my iPad app, I noticed that if I install a newer version (using XCode) on my app-store-installed version, then keychain values I saved prior to the upgrade are not retrieved as expected - they return empty. I tried to check if this is related to the way I installed the app (app store/xcode/testflight) and experienced the same behavior when upgrading versions using only testFlight (testFlight version -> testFlgiht version).
Is this scenario reasonable? How can I make sure I will keep my keychain values between upgrades on the app store?

Deleted photos and video aren’t immediately removed from your library; they’re placed in the Recently Deleted album, where they remain for the number of days shown, and then are deleted. You can recover the items before that period of time (see the next task). If you have iCloud Photo Library turned on, the photos may remain in iCloud up to 40 days and then are removed from all your devices that use iCloud Photo Library. If you’re not using iCloud Photo Library, your deleted photos are removed from your Mac only.
Restore recently deleted items
Deleted items remain in the Recently Deleted album for the number of days shown, and then are deleted permanently. You can view recently deleted items and restore them back into your Photos library.
Choose File > Show Recently Deleted.
Select the photos you want to restore.
Click Recover.
To delete recently deleted items immediately, select the items, then click Delete.
If you use Time Machine to back up your computer, you may be able to recover items after they are deleted permanently from your Mac or iCloud.
