You have a PPC processor, not an Intel x86 processor.

Why does Skype do not allow to delete conversation with single contact?

IT is a simple question only if Skype can be HONEST and answer it truthfully.. What is the reason that we can not have a feature where we can delete the single conversation with one contact. Now the option skype has does not allow that. You either delete your entire history with all contacts or you have to keep the conversation history you do not want to keep.. I mean It has to be on purpose that Skype has not allowed this option. Why does my computer not like the new version of FF V31.00?

It started about a 7-10 days ago. I was alerted that a New Version of FF v31 was available to download. So I d/l
installed it and blankety blank software would not properly. Sometimes it would load the FF Browser but any attempt to go between websites would take forever. Sometimes all I would get is a single tab showing and the
windows 7 Aero icon would spin itself silly. I would try to put it in safe mode but the same results as above. Finally after losing several buckets of sweat I read that my Anti-Virus software could be blocking FF. I thought why would it stop blocking this version when it had allowed previous versions w/o problems. I go to software rules and change it from auto to allow. I re-installed the v31.00 and it worked........... for 3days.
Today, It started acting up again. This time I would be reading a webpage and the mouse would not scroll or I would attempt to exit out a tab. No go. So I exit out of FF and tried to go back in. FF resorted back to my first experience. I went back to look if Norton 360 had changed the rules on me AGAIN. No everything was like it was before. I have now re-installed it 3 times today. Finally after re-installing for a 4th time I hit restart FF and everything is back to normal. I was under the impression when I hit restart I would lose all my profile settings(Bookmarks)/ But everything is back to normal..........for the time being. I have never had this much problems before. If it was a virus why would IE work like a champ but not FF.
Anyway I pray A FF expert can lead me down the paths of righteouness sake.

Why does Photoshop Elements not remove the old version after installing an upgrade?

When I install a new version of Photoshop Elements, it converts the old catalog but does not remove the old programs. I just installed PS 11 over PS 10 and it did not remove it. I have had the same problem with each upgrade. I have to manually uninstall the old version.

Uninstalling the older version post an upgrade might be discomforting to many users, so...
Catalog conversion works fine irrespective of whether you uninstall or do not uninstall the older version since the catalog folders are not touched during uninstall.

I don't have the definitive answer for your question. It is possible that Skype is not able to receive SMS messages because Skype does not operate a mobile phone carrier - or does not partner with mobile carriers in different countries, as Skype does with other non-mobile carriers for services we currently have. I was told in another part of these community forums that SMS messages can be received on German landlines, but this appears to be a rare thing compared to most of the world. Skype's numbers are usually set up to work like regular landline numbers or - in some countries - may be a special class of number (nomadic or VOIP, for example).
Subject to government regulations in the different countries, Skype would have to partner with mobile phone carriers in different countries, and then have the ability to issue Online Numbers that would appear to the telephone network to be either mobile numbers or special numbers that have the ability to receive SMS. Between the technical and legal hurdles Skype would have to go through, it is possible they are very happy with having the online numbers that work for receiving voice calls. (For some posting all over these forums, there are some countries that Skype users would be very happy to get an Online Number for voice calls - Canada comes to mind)
Approaching Skype Customer Support, instead of these community forums frequented mostly by other Skype users, may be a good thing. Then you might be able to get an answer from Skype directly. No guarantees, of course, but you'll never know if you don't try.

Why does software update not allow installation of updates?

I am unable to install downloaded packages after running Software Update because of an "incorrect signature" issue. Dialogue says: Packages may have been tampered with or corrupted since being signed by Apple. The computer is a PowerBook G4 running OS X 10.5.8. The updates are coming direct from Apple. What is going on?

Downloading the updates one at a time directly from the Apple website worked perfectly. I wish I knew why Software Update no longer functions properly, but having this work-around is good to know about.

Why does my Mac not allow me to use my own printing preferences? Windows does.

I have a new Mac and have found to my dismay that I can no longer have any control over what type of paper I want to print on, along with many other printing preferences that I want to have control over as I did with my Windows Computer. Therefore, I am at the mercy of my computer or printer to figure out what kind of paper I am using...which is ridiculous, as that is impossible. Needless to say, many of my photos that I am trying to print on different papers, are printing out all kinds of crazy ways. I am using my same printer than I used with my Windows computer....the Epson Artisan 810 Photo Printer. I am a very serious photo printer person and I want my control back. 1) Open any image in PSE EDITOR.
2) Go to Print.

It might have a software issue that needs to be resolved.
I would first try to reset the device by holding the home button and sleep/wake button until you see the apple logo. Then release. Wait for the phone to come back on and try again.

I don't have a problem viewing my purchase history. I have a problem getting support pages to work. The S.I. prefix Giga is used to mean both 1000x1000x1000 and 1024x1024x1024. Computer software typically uses the second version, but using the first number makes the same number of bytes appear bigger when expressed as Gb, so is favoured by hard drive manufactures.

It's a bit like specifying a quantity in gallons without saying whether they are US or Imperial gallons - everybody gets the same volume but one number will be bigger than the other. I could offer you a tank with 10 Imperial gallons of fuel in it - but if I tell you it's 12 US gallons it sounds like you're getting more for your money.
Once the total size of your library exceeds the capacity of your device all you need to do is create some size limited playlists to determine what goes on the device. Don't sync all movies, sync one or two that you plan to watch soon. Likewise with TV Shows. Limit podcasts to unplayed episodes and finally create a music subset. What worked for me for some time was a smart playlist called Steve's Tunes defined as Playlist is Music and Playlist is not Exclude where Exclude was regular playlist that I would manually add to until Steve's Tunes was small enough to fit. These days I run an iPhone and have a number of smart playlists with ? Gb of most played, ? Gb of highly rated, ? Gb of recently added, ? Gb of essentials, ? Gb of unplayed etc. Each time I sync I get slightly updated selection without having to put any extra effort in.

Then no matter how often I download and install flash player I still get the message that I need to upgrade my flash player. Assume you and 'jasonfrompasorobles' are the same person? Otherwise not sure where Winston has replied to you. Where has he suggested you're in the wrong forum ? (common practice to tell people if they are as you're more likely to get an answer in the correct forum.)
I refer you to Winston's first and only reply to jason... where he welcomed him to the forum - what is the download speed - measure it at speedtest.net on a computer.
Netflix works completely differently - it works out your internet speed and reduces the quality of the stream (accordingly so starts much quicker on slower connections by degrading the quality with a lower bitrate stream.
Apple's rentals are fixed sized files - HD 3-4GB, SD 1-1.5GB or thereabouts depending on film length - for fixed sized files with a given playback average bitrate/sec (Apple's tend to be up to 5 Mbps) if the connection speed is lower it is impossible to playback the movie instantly and continuously - it would stop and start all the time - so AppleTV calculates how much needs to buffer to allow the movie to be watched without stopping/starting - if your speed is very slow this could mean many hours for a HD title, and as TallBearNC suggests you can make some rough calculations to show why this happens.
Other factors could be at play but the first thing to look at is always the average download speed on your internet connection.

I get my email to download then ... it won't. I go to the store and its showing charges again... rather than PURCHASED

Not just you. I too am having this issue including with a movie I just purchased.
If you follow mario49's advice they will eventually help you by posting the purchases to your account again (not actually fixing the current issue) but be VERY specific with them and be prepared to explain your issue about 4 times (I have taken to just copy and pasting) before they actually read what you told them and help out.
e-mail 1: Response was to explain the difference between a season pass and individual orders (even though I attached the season pass order number to the issue message).
e-mail 2: Reponse explained how to redownload episodes again (even though I had clearly stated it was a latest episode on a season pass).
e-mail 3: I may have yelled a little bit here.
e-mail 4: This one was a complaint about the pre-order that was charged but also now giving me the "you haven't paid for this" message. I attached the earlier complaint # to this one and got they same service person. This time he re-posted every episode from the above season pass to my account and my movie so I got the new episode I was looking for and about 5 others I was not.
Now I just have to go through all of this for my other 11 season passes that won't download either.
