Why does ff 4.0 beta come up with firefox updated scren everytime I use firefox? Shouldn't it bring up the homepage?

Everytime I open ff 4.0 beta. the first tab comes up with the firefox updated web page. the second tab is the home page. I am wondering why ff 4.0 beta has to bring up thr ff updated web page in the first tab everytime I start ff.

Make sure that you do not use that profile with other Firefox versions like 3.6.13

Check the updates through the App Store and if there has been a revision of the app for your device you will be able to compare the app on your device. If the app has been updated and the app update is not available through the App Store, delete the app then reinstall it to see if that resolves the problem.

Why does plugin-container.exe not start up with Firefox 3.6.15 anymore?

I have Firefox 3.6.15, Firefox 4.0 RC1 and Pale Moon 3.6.15 on my PC. Even though each .exe file is in a separate folder, if I start up say, Firefox 4.0 RC1 for awhile and then close it and start up Firefox 3.6.15 my settings are messed up and I have to fix some of them. I just noticed in Task Manager that plugin-container.exe does not start up with FF 3.6.15 and FF 4.0 RC1 and Pale Moon 3.6.15 anymore. I'm not sure what I did to cause this. I even went into Mozilla's folder and tried to start up plugin-container manually, but it does not start up. I'm at a loss, do I have to do a clean install of three browsers to fix this?

It is caused by Firefox asking plugins like Flash to remove their cookies and other locally stored data.

Why Does Live View In DW Not Work With BC Template?

The live view using a BC template in DW CS6 shows "PAGE NOT FOUND" in the body section but the header and footer look fine. I should also point out that the index.htm page works fine, it's just the other pages that have this problem. What makes it weirder is that the site works fine in all other modes including when viewing in a normal browser, it's ONLY when in live view! I also noticed that if I delete the .htm extension in the url in the DW browser when in Live View it fixes the problem, but this requires me to do this everytime I want to switch to live view and surely is either a problem with how the BC template files are named or DW CS6 is buggy? Hopefully this is an easy one to answer??

Will apple come out with a update after iOS 6 for Siri to available for download in the AppStore? I think apple should charge iPad 2 users about 10 dollars to let us get it

Like what penguin said......If apple doesnt say it, I wouldnt believe it. I just read an article this morning SPECULATING Siri for the Ipad 2 around holiday time. Its those websites jobs to speculate which attracts readers(like me for example). I highly doubt it though.

Why does't Flashplayer work after I agreed to an update from an Adobe pop-up box prompt?

I had problems last year when Flashplayer stopped working suddenly. After months of seeking help, I received instructions that fixed the problem...until the other day. A pop-up box from Adobe appeared indicating an update was available. I agreed to installing the update and the Flashplayer has not worked since. I referred to my notes from the "fix" last year and made one adjustment in the Active-X settings, but this did not help. Flashplayer still does not work. Help! I just don't think I can go through this for several months again.

message. I think the problem may be that I
provided answers within your text instead of
separately. Your system may not like the format
I tried. So here goes.... I have pulled my
answers out of your message and they appear in
the order of your inquiries below.
“Check the Windows system tray carefully to make
certain no applications are still in memory which
might possibly use Flash Player.” –a statement
from the Adobe Un-install link article. I don't
know what “in memory” means. The only things I
have that may use Flashplayer that I know of is
the Weather Bug. Windows Mediaplayer is also
listed in my programs, but I have never used it.
Also, there is no mention of Norton here, but
Norton Internet Security ’09 is what I have installed.
1. No Firefox. MSN Exlorer is listed among my
Programs, but I have never used it. It was
likely installed by Dell when I purchased the computer.
2. Norton Internet Security '09. Bell Internet
Security - Alert is listed in my programs (with
options, including uninstall) but this is the first time I have noticed it.
3. Norton Internet Security has a firewall with
it that I understand is way better than Windows.
4. There is a Google toolbar, Norton toolbar and
a bunch of stuff listed in the Manage Add-ons
like Skype, Adobe and Sun Java Console which I think are add-ons.
Java Webstart is listed under Accessories in
Programs. In Programs is Adobe Distiller 6.0,
Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard, Adobe (which is
empty), Adobe.com and Adobe Reader 9. I did not find DLM or GetPlus.
I found no listing for Shockwave Flash
Object. You did not ask this and I don't mean to
get ahead of you but in case there is relevance,
I looked in Internet Options, Security, Custom
and saw a number of reference to Active X and
plug-ins, some of which are disabled; others enabled.
From reading in your posts to mlmarg, I saw the
instructions for finding the Flash folder and
used them. I used Explorer to access My
Computer,, C Drive, Folder 1386, Folder System
32. There are 2 items in it from 2002 but not
what I think you want. The 2 are SMSS.EXE and
NTDLL.DLL. If this is not correct, I will need your instructions to locate it.
I will ask because I don't always understand

CT, I suspect that I either mistated the question or don't understand how to set the default back ground. In any case, with the background that I have set in system settings, and this is the background to which my sessions consistantly boot, new desktops come up for the second or up to the third background with this initially set background. Have been trying to remove (for the second time) the "Antivirus Security Pro" virus from this laptop (which insidiously has invaded Firefox to the extent of display several pop-ups [incl. Recommended sites list; security rating of the active webpage tab displayed; video advertisements; scroll down and enlarge the screen shot in following post: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/959400]. As part of this process was instructed to shut down & power-up the laptop in Windows safe mode. Upon completing this step I opened Firefox and the following message appears at the bottom of the browser (no matter what tab is displayed): "It looks like you haven't started Firefox in a while. Do you want to clean it up for a fresh, like-new experience? And by the way, welcome back!" There is also a button "Reset Firefox..." displayed to the right of this message and an "X" which is assumed to close out this message. Why does this message appear? Had been on Firefox (while in normal mode) just prior to encountering the re-emergence of the virus attack, so am questioning the reason for this message displaying and am suspicious of it being a part of the viral threat. Am hesitant to either reset and/or uninstall/reinstall Firefox prior to running another scan with Malwarebytes, Adaware and Spybot S&D . In fact Firefox was just upgraded to v.25 two days ago (when the laptop was believed to be free from this virus as well as from the ViewMgr.exe and the AVG/vprot.exe viruses. These initial virus removals were performed in the Windows normal mode, so while awaiting a response to this question, will do the scans and perform any additional manual file/registry search and destroy in the Windows safe mode. Will also try a test run of Firefox in it's own safe mode when the removal processes are completed. Would appreciate a rapid response on whether or not to do a Firefox reset and/or removal if this second attempt at removing this virus is unsuccessful.

The reset will not erase the virus but the reset can be done up to you.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.

I've encountered this error myself upon occasion. If I remember correctly, it was a permissions/ownership issue with the some of the files I was copying.

That means those applications cannot be run on your computer.
There are many different reasons why that situation could arise, but without more information all we can do is speculate / guess. For example, you upgraded the OS and the apps will not run in the new OS.

You can try the standard fixes of reset, restore from backup and restore to factory defaults to rule out a hsoftware proble. Frequently it is to to a problem with the eadphone jack and the solution is to replace the jack.
