Why does Firefox take me to a page that says, "Oops Page cannot be found" when I click on a link in a secure site. Not with IE: only Firefox.
If I go to a secure site and click on a link, it take me to "Oops Page cannot be found". I have reset Firefox, uninstalled it and re installed it, disabled my Add Ons, and every other suggestion from the forum. Nothing works and this does not happen with IE. Is the bottom line that I must use IE for these sites? I would prefer Firefox but cannot solve this problem.
Did you disable all the extensions before restarting?
If it works in Firefox Safe-mode then disable all extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

Every time Firefox opened

The only thing I did different, was Instead of shutting down my computer, I click on Log off User.
Ever since then I have noticed windows XP is taking longer to load, and so is Firefox.

2 issues:
1. Firefox crashes every time I try to open QuickBooks online. I have submitted numerous crash reports.

It doesn't match yours exactly. There is an iframe with a Google map in it in the "Hosting Analysis" section, which in your pasted page seems to be the "Site Server" section.

Hi I got an email from itunes saying that my pre order was ready and when I click on the link from my ipad it takes me to the itunes store app and then it doesn't do anything help with this please .

Now I can download apps on both my iPhone and ipad2.

hi Good people, please help.. i think i have deleted something that is stopping firefox from operating, when i enter a web address, i just get a blank page. the issue whatever it might be has also affected internet explorer. after a minute or so i get a message that says check the web address has been entered correctly. i'm running windows 7 on a sony vaio laptop, any suggestions would be most appreciated, thanks you in advance.

Your first statement explains the second statement. To use the German iTunes Store, you need to prove that you're a resident of Germany (that is required by the content owners who will not allow cross-border sales) and the only way Apple can provide such a verification is by requiring that you enter in either a German credit card or a German-purchased iTunes prepaid card. Since I presume the former is not a possibility, you'll need to do the latter if you wish to purchase content from the iTunes Store. Again, this is not Apple's choice but is forced on them by the content owners as a requirement for Apple being allowed to sell the content. The EU is working on regulations that would force the content owners to allow access pan-EU, but that's still in the works.
You do not need an iTunes Store account to activate and run your iPad, though; at least, I didn't need one for either of my two iPads. If you only want to set up an account so you can get free iPad apps, take a look here:

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is apparently critical. This seems to come and go, or only apply to App Stores in specific countries, so you may not see the option for "None" when asked for a payment type.

I got a macbook pro two days ago, the camera has been working just fine until late at night when I turned it on, I could barley see my face in the camera because the camera made everything so dark,It happens every time no matter what room I am in, so I know it is not the lighting. You have to respond to the verification email that Apple should have sent you when you set up the iCloud account by clicking the Verify Now link. Make sure you are check the email address you used to set up your iCloud account. Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Have you tried to eliminate everything extraneous. In other words, do you experience the same delays with a simple Java program (no lookups, JNDI) that loads the drivermanager and creates a connection.
Do you have access to a traciong JVM or some program that captures run-time execution timing information? Even without the source, this will tell you the specific class::methos where time is spent so you can better determine where the delay is ocurring. -
