Why does I tune automatically delete my playlist without notification

WHen I plug one of my ipods (4th gen.) into my Mac it deletes most of my iTune playlist libreary and I donn't know where they go or if I can get them back.
Can anyone help?

It appears you have some boxes checked incorrectly. iTunes ill only sync the iTunes you want 9excpet sometimes it fails to sync some items). iTunes does not sync not marked/checked to sync to the iPod.

Sorry to just now be getting back to you, but with Thanksgiving and my granddaughter's wedding yesterday, I've been too busy and stressed to worry about my phone again until now.
Yes, I used the default email application, and the email provider is Cox Communications. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated. Also I was wondering if I should change to IMAP (from POP3)....perhaps that would help the problem? Don't know, as I don't know anyone else who uses IMAP. Your help, again, would be appreciated.

The S.I. prefix Giga is used to mean both 1000x1000x1000 and 1024x1024x1024. Computer software typically uses the second version, but using the first number makes the same number of bytes appear bigger when expressed as Gb, so is favoured by hard drive manufactures.

It's a bit like specifying a quantity in gallons without saying whether they are US or Imperial gallons - everybody gets the same volume but one number will be bigger than the other. I could offer you a tank with 10 Imperial gallons of fuel in it - but if I tell you it's 12 US gallons it sounds like you're getting more for your money.
Once the total size of your library exceeds the capacity of your device all you need to do is create some size limited playlists to determine what goes on the device. Don't sync all movies, sync one or two that you plan to watch soon. Likewise with TV Shows. Limit podcasts to unplayed episodes and finally create a music subset. What worked for me for some time was a smart playlist called Steve's Tunes defined as Playlist is Music and Playlist is not Exclude where Exclude was regular playlist that I would manually add to until Steve's Tunes was small enough to fit. These days I run an iPhone and have a number of smart playlists with ? Gb of most played, ? Gb of highly rated, ? Gb of recently added, ? Gb of essentials, ? Gb of unplayed etc. Each time I sync I get slightly updated selection without having to put any extra effort in.

soltion is very simple .close itunes and all programes that r open than .go to run and type C:\ProgramData\Apple Computer\iTunes . . no delete sc infoand than . diisconnect ur iphone from itunes and re connect, when itunes will synchronize it will give the same messagee again , that u r not auithorized, read the whole message, there will be written that if u dont authorize some of ur apps will be deleted or removed, u have to click donot authorize and than the apps or songs causing problem will be remeved and ur fone wil now be synchronized .. . than u can download those apps or songs after authorization . ... .

In your printers folder on your computer, is the default printer set to your printer, or your printer- fax?

The form will close automatically when you do changes that can affect the form fillers. Sorry there is nothing you can do beside explicitly open the form after your changes.

Duplication of tunes - why does I-Tunes do that?

I've read all of the posts on duplicates and obviously there is no easy way to 'bulk remove' duplicates - you have to go through them one at a time. However when I click 'show dupliates' it comes up with +11,000 tunes (I have a rather large collection).
All I would like to know is, why does i-Tunes duplicate the songs? I can understnd duplicates because a tune is in 2 different places or its on 2 different discs but it seems to just duplicate songs (sometime 3 or 4 at a time) for no reason.
I'm just curious to know why.

I don't know the particulars but it's not hard to image that when the connection detects no traffic for a certain period of time it automatically disconnects.

It may be that your messages are set to automatically delete the messages after they are sent. Go into message then under settings look to see if it says auto delete and change the program.

Man I hear your pain, same happened to me. I never worked out a way of deleting all the duplicates and I'm guessing it occured as you imported your library more than once.
However it is possible to delete everything and copy from an ipod using different utilities out there on the net, try googling ipodutil as an expample, although I don't know if this works from an iphone but it worked for me copying everything back from an ipod into itunes.
