Why does iCloud not sync mail rules?
This seems like a no brainer. When I view my email on my Iphone, I see all my Spam, which would already be dispatched to the Junk box on my desktop, had I looked there first. Why does iCloud not sync my Mail rules, and is there a solution for this?
It is not Mac to Mac.
Why not look up iCloud support, it was never offered as anything outside iOS 5 supported devices.
Maybe if you would stop reading into things what isn't there.

Why does iCloud not sync to Mac's
After all the hype about icloud and its ability to sync all your apple proucts. I just recently found that my ipad does not sync to my macbook pro automatically, why not. This really upsets me. Is there a fix on the horizon? DW

Hi, can anyone help me ? When I delete or file mail from my inbox on any device, it does not sync to other devices. It was working until recently. Any ideas ?
Thanks
DarrenAFTER I asked the question, then the answer presented itself in a list of previously asked questions! (And I had looked before too.) It involves "Signing Out" of iCloud with the iMac, and with the iPhone. Then I signed in again. It was scary (took a long time) getting the mail loaded again, but it seems to be working now.

Why does iCloud Notes randomly get disabled?
Running a Mac Mini with OS X 10.8.2, and periodically, I'll notice that Notes app is not properly syncing. When I check in System Preferences > iCloud > Notes will be unchecked, while all other iCloud apps/services are properly checked.
This has probably happened 3-4 times in the past couple months, and I've yet to figure out any rhyme or reason. Anyone have any ideas?I have done further testing and found that new notes created on either my iPad or iMac are included in Icloud's note folder and are automatically sent to the other device. After I deleted the two notes that did appear originally in iCloud, none of the other old notes on my iPad are transferred there even when I make amendments to them

Why is iCloud not syncing across my two macs?
I have installed Yosemite on my MacBook Pro and on my 2010 iMac. iCloud Drive is not syncing between the computers. I can create folders on each mac in my iCloud Drive through the Finder and they do not mirror each other. Moreover, they are not uploading consistently to my iCloud Drive. Only a handful of the folders and their files have uploaded. It is a hit and miss. What must I do to fix this impasse?
You may need to reset the iCloud documents & data service, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5824.

I am having issues with icloud. I sync my email account from work, with Icloud but it does not synch all emails. I can send emails but it some times it does receive it but not synch with other devices such as Ipad or macbook pro. once I received an email from exchange server, in icloud I responded back but my response did not show in either the Ipad or Macbook pro.
Hi,
I suspect this is an IMAP4 Expunge/Compact bug which drives me crazy with my own mailbox (but only when I use the iPhone). Try this, and see if it helps:
On each iOS device in sequence, but not simultaneoulsy (you might want to send your self a couple of messages to play with):
1) Tag a mail for deletion or mark it as read.
2) Kill the mail app used. This should cause the app to Expunge correctly.
3) Check the status of the messages on the other device. If necessary, trigger a refresh by restarting the app completely.
When you've done this, highlight the differences based on device.
I say this drives me crazy, but the fact is I live with it. The craziness really impacts me based on time delay between accessing the box with different devices. It only happens with iOS, with other OS products, I always Thunderbird, and that does not have this issue.
If you get so much mail that such an impact has a very real disturbance to your quality of life, perhaps you could try going out more, and talking to poeple? -
Why does addressbook not sync to server?
I'm running Mac OS X Server 3.0.2 on my iMac (Mavericks 10.9.1). All my other computers (MacBook, PC, iPhones, iPad) sync the contacts to the MacOS X-Server-Account on this iMac without problems. But when I work on this iMac, I cannot access the contacts with Mac OS X addressbook. While I can access calendar and tasks without problems.
What I tried:
- erase /Library/ApplicationSupport/AddressBook folder
- erase my OS X Server-CardDAV-Account in "InternetAccounts" and set it up newly
- erase that Account inside AddressBook-Application and set it up newly
- reset my keychain
- erased sandbox-cache of Mail
- erased Cache of AddressBook.
Nothing helped.
Any ideas welcome!

[CSUserSessionServiceBase.m:48 19779000 +0ms] Detected Magic Superuser Auth TokenDon't know how confidential your contacts are, but if you get desperate and want a quick work around you can try syncing your contacts to either Apple iCloud or Google Contacts. I've used this to get my addressbook across to devices that can't connect to our internal network.
If you want to figure it out with the way it should work I would try a system OS X install on an external hard drive and boot your iMac off a clean OS to see if you can get it to sync your contacts. If it fails then it is probably an issue on the server side. -
Why does iCloud not have my tones?
I don't understand why iCloud does not have my tones?
I have just lost them and I thought to myself its ok I will just retrieve them from iCloud to find it doesn't have them...
Yet iTunes store recognises that I have previously purchased said tones but would charge me again to download them!
Is this some lame attempt at getting more money out of customers or am I missing something???
Thanks in advance

When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
On an iOS device, new photos you take will be automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. Note: My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.
On your Mac, any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture will begin uploading automatically when you have a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Or, you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream are uploaded.
On a PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later, open a Windows Explorer window. Select Photo Stream under Favorites. Open My Photo Stream. Click the "Add photos" button. Select photos to import to My Photo Stream, and then click Open. -
Why is icloud not syncing all my notes on all devices properly?
I have iCloud syncing of the new desktop/mobile app - "Notes" turned on in my desktop Imac, my Ipad and my Iphone.
All I want iCloud to do is simply mirror and sync all three of these Notes platforms so that the latest versions of all existing and new notes are identical in number and content on all devices.
Is that not what this great complicated,bug-prone iCloud is SUPPOSED to do ????
I had, over a long time (pre-iCloud and Mountain Lion), accumulated 61 separate notes on the Iphone, as this is where I create and refer to most of my notes.
Despite my having these 61 Iphone notes, only 17 are appearing on the desktop - and, indeed, it appears iCloud has gone and DELETED most of the notes I had previously synced up to the desktop from the iPhone using both iCloud and the old Itunes syncing,.... which of course has now no longer available..
Please, someone, how do I get Icloud to stop being selective and having a mind of its own about what it deletes and syncs and, instead, very simply do what it'as touted to do and mirror all notes in identical fashion on all 3 platforms. ?????
- Iam frustrated and on the verge of just shutting it all down and giving up on the Cloud - it is so poorly explained !!!I can't see a failure on Apple's part: they are giving you Notes for each and every of your email accounts. In each account you can activate Notes or not. Can you ask for more flexibility? The rest depends on what you make out of it.
I'm not sure what you mean by
you end up having to create a separate iCloud email address, that apparently has no password, or at least I was never prompted for one and the only thing this email address is for is an outdated transport system that isn't used by the other iCloud data streams.
Most people have more email addresses, though not necessarily on iCloud, but everyone on iCloud has at least one @me.com and/or @mac.com address, which lets you sync your Notes across all OS X and iOS devices.
So, it looks as if - at least for now - you want only a single Notes "pad" that's in sync and accessible on all your Apple gear. No prob.
1. Make sure all your notes were copied or moved into Notes under your iCloud account.
2. On all your Apple gear, deactivate Notes for all (email) accounts except iCloud, and activate it for your iCloud account:
2.1. In OS X:
- The simplest way is to launch Notes, then -> Notes -> Accounts in the menu bar.
- Click on each non-iCloud account and uncheck Notes.
- Click on your iCloud account and make sure Notes is checked.
2.2. In iOS:
- Go to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Tap on each non-iCloud accounts and turn Notes off.
- Tap on your iCloud account and make sure Notes are on.
That's it. Now you have only a single notepad everywhere, and since it's in iCloud and active on all your Apple devices, it stays in sync. See, makes sense, no? -
Why does iCloud not like Ed Sheeran and why is iTunes a liar?
So like everyone on here I'm sure, you've downloaded iOS 7. I had some difficulty but have it on my phone now and even through my cracked screen it's beautiful. BUT
Before I updated my iPhone, i installed the latest version of iTunes on my Macbook Pro. My first problem is after both devices were updated, my iTunes is saying it cannot connect to my iPhone because it doesn't have the latest version. I've quit and restarted iTunes and have restarted my macbook a couple of times but I keep getting that error message.
So that's my first problem.
The other problem is friggin iCloud on my iPhone! Most of my purchased music downloaded on there no problem. I didn't mind when it came to most of my music because i haven't listened to most of it. But it won't download Ed Sheeran's album which I listen to quite often lately. Soooo this is most definitely a problem.
I really hope someone can help me on here because I am NOT paying $19 for tech support. Thanks!!!It is not Mac to Mac.
Why not look up iCloud support, it was never offered as anything outside iOS 5 supported devices.
Maybe if you would stop reading into things what isn't there.

Why is iCloud not syncing with mac address book
Addresses changed on Mac are not reliably going to the icloud. Calendars work fine, but not addresses?
Lion on MacBook Pro
MikeTurns out I was cloning a contact using copy and paste. This created the new contact on Lion and I could edit the name to a new one, etc. however, that contact was not going to iCloud. I sent it to my email as an attachment. When opened on iPad or iPhone in iOS5 the contact info was all blank. Wow, what a surprise! Doesn't sound right to me but that is what is happening. Any contact I fully enter or edit anywhere updates thru iCloud on Lion, iPad or iPhone.
At least I now understand the behavior...don't like it, but now I know not to create contacts with copy/paste!
So does anyone know of an easy way to clone contacts when I have a dozen people to add from the same address? -
Why does ical not sync to MobileMe?
Since Lion, iCal is syncing only the first 4-5 events after adding the MobileMe Account.
After that, the syncing whell is running endless.
Specs are:
MobileMe:
6 x Calendars, 5 are published and shared with other Mac Users
Shared with other Users:
3 x Calendars
Abonemment:
2 x Calendars (Birthday by system and Calendar week)
Replicate problem:
I erased the entire account from iCal and from MobileMe on the Mac as well. After that I added the Mobile Me Account and the MobileMe Account at iCal. iCal synced all events accuratley but after the creation of further 4-5 events, iCal hangs by a running wheel to sync to Mobile Me. I can create further Events but it doesn't make sense, because the events will not be synced through mobiel me for my other iOS devices like iPohne and iPad.
Events created in iOS via iPhone or iPad will be synced between those devices through MobileMe but iCal doesn't sync.
Who knows help. Remember: I did erase the entire account and set it up new: doesn't help.
Comments?Hi All
The MobileMe senior advisor resolved my problem! Thanks so much Cxxxx!
Here the instructions:
1. Open Terminal and use this command to copy the Calendars folder from ~/Library to your Desktop:
cp -r ~/Library/Calendars ~/Desktop
2. Open Disk Utility and create a new Disk Image from the Calendars folder on your Desktop by selecting File > New > Disk Image from Folder and then choosing the Calendars folder on your Desktop.
3. Save the new Disk Image to your Desktop as well.
4. Double-click the Calendars.dmg to open it.
5. In the new window that appears choose View > Show Toolbar from the Finder View menu.
6. In the Search field on the Toolbar enter "%" (without quotation marks).
7. Select "Filename contains %" when prompted by the Search pop-up.
8. Make sure the Search location is set to Calendars.
9. Then open the ICS files returned in a text editor such as BBEdit or TextEdit.
10. Locate the SUMMARY field (that's the event name).
11. Note the affected event name(s) in a text editor.
12. Lookup the affected events one by one in iCal. Note the date of the events in the same document that has the name(s).
13. Quit iCal when all the event dates are collected.
14. Go to me.com/calendar
15. Delete all iterations of matched events from me.com/Calendar
Once the problematic events have been deleted, you will then be able to sync to your iCal application without issue. Once syncing has been restored, you can then add back any events that you need to.
Hope that helps!

Why does iCloud notes not show all my iPad notes?
I have 7 notes on my iPad (3rd Gen) Notes folder, but only the 2 oldest show up on my iCloud account and, subsequently, on my iMac now that I have Mountain Lion installed.
I have done further testing and found that new notes created on either my iPad or iMac are included in Icloud's note folder and are automatically sent to the other device. After I deleted the two notes that did appear originally in iCloud, none of the other old notes on my iPad are transferred there even when I make amendments to them

Why does iTunes not sync correctly?
I'm using an iPhone 4s and a ipod touch 2nd gen. I try to sync these devices over wifi with my itunes, but for some reason it just beach balls, or it locks up enough where it won't read either of them. The reason why it doesn't work is different everytime. Some times it will say error (-50) which is a timeout error. Or When trying to wifi sync the iPhone; it'll just load with the spinning sync symbol and then proceed to tell me "The software used to read the iphone wasn't installed properly, go to the summary tab in iTunes and click restore". I have looked all over the net, and apple is reluctant to help. I've reinstalled iTunes, and restored both iOS devices from their backups. Anything?!
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for the iPod Photo Cache.
Trash it. Start iPhoto and try sync again.
