I use "Adobe Dynamic Link" mainly for typography and some animation, but not to the point where it would stress out Premiere CC 2014.

It doesn't crash for everyone. A person could be forgiven for saying, in return, "Please sort out your **** system problems".
Trust me when I say many, many problems are caused by the computer system setup not being up to the needs of this cutting-edge graphics software. Photoshop is heavily dependent on the GPU, and GPU drivers are notorious for having bugs (they're primarily written to run games).
However, that being said, recent driver releases from both ATI and nVidia do actually work pretty well with Photoshop CC 2014.
What video card do you have?
What display driver version are you running?
If you're unsure how to tell these things, go into Photoshop, choose Help - System Info, copy the data, and post it here.

(Photoshop CS2) It crashes every time I use my brush tool for a long time. Help?

I have recently been having some trouble with my photoshop cs2 (it isn't my computer because it is easily quicker them the majority of computer I have been on and it's only a recent problem). I can use all my tools very easily without having any little pauses and it wont crash, but with my brush tool, after using the brush for a long stroke without unclicking it crashes. Well, it pauses for 2 mins- 4 hours (wont let me click on another tool or carry on drawing or select layers and such). Since I am an artist and work on photoshop for a living , not being able to use the brush tool is a huge problem for me. I have no intension of updating my software to cs3/4/5, (as I don't want to pay for all that software and then find that it crashes again). I recently got my new bamboo graphics tablet and it is even slower when using that. This is also a very recent problem so I was wondering if anyone else had had this before and found a way around it?

I actually believe there are updates for Photoshop itself, not through Mac Software Update. You should check if there are any updates for the product on this website. Photoshop also tends to glitch sometimes. For example, on PSCS4 for Mac, after opening the program, and changing the toolbar to the traditional 2-column style, the quck mask button is totally cut off unless I switch it to the 2-column style twice.

Why does my photo turn in to a white after using the enhance tool?

When I'm using the Enhance tool on certain photo's, the photos turn pure white! This has only started recently. It even does this on old photos that I have used the Enhance tool on previously. If I use the Undo option, my photo will return to usual, but at the moment my Enhance tool is broken!
I have tried repairing permissions and the database but it did nothing to solve the problem
I am using iPhoto 11 on Lion. Everything is up to date.

Try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If you get the same problem in the new library try this: make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

PSE would freeze every time I use the brush tool !

Hello guys, my name is Abdulrahman and this is the first time I post so please, take it easy on me. I used photoshop elements and premier 12 for about a year now and everything has been working fine. I haven't actually used PSE for a long time (probably since April) and I opened it 3 days ago trying to use the brush tool, but it would freeze. The cursor would stay as the brush icon no matter where I point it and it would not click anything, I have to force quite the application as it says '(application not responding)" next to it. I looked for help online, I updated PSE as well as my operating system (I work on a Mac by the way), I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application, and I also tried re-creating the preferences file, however nothing worked. Every other tool works fine, it is probably just the brush tool it has problems working with.

We sincerely apologize for the problem that you have been facing while using a trackpad with Photoshop Elements 11 & 12 on Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite).
We have been actively working with Apple to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. We're hopeful this will get completely resolved in an upcoming update of Yosemite(MAC 10.10).
In the meanwhile, you have two options to work around this problem:
1. Option1: Use a mouse instead of the trackpad
2. Option2: Install a plug-in which should workaround the problem
Plug-in installation instructions:
1. Close Photoshop Elements
2. Download this zip file to a location you can easily find (e.g. your desktop)
3. Unzip the file, WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin, and move it to the Plug-In folder:
• For Elements 12 – //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 12/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
• For Elements 11 - //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 11/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
You can verify the plug-in is installed by launching the Photoshop Elements Editor and choosing Help > System Info... Scroll to the bottom of the text in the dialog and look for the plug-in name "WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin".
Note: This plugin is a temporary workaround and should be used until this issue is addressed in Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite). Please remove this plugin once the issue is officially resolved by Apple.
If you are using a stylus in conjunction with a trackpad, you might see issues with your trackpad. Workaround in this particular case is to use mouse instead of the trackpad.

Why does Mozilla go back to desktop every time I close the website I am on. It won't left me go back one page to look at something because the arrows are alway

When I am using Mozilla, I cannot go back one page unless the arrow is black. Most of the time it is grey which means you 'CAN'T
go back. When I click on the red X to close the page it says, "you are about to close (4 tabs) or however many, "DO YOU WISH TO CONTINUE?" Well, NO, I want to go back to the first page so I can either delete the e-mail or go on to the next one.
Another issue: when you are looking at your e-mail, there is no way to go to the next one unless you delete the one you are looking at. Am I right about this or am I just unlearned on how to use mozilla? Thank you very much for a prompt answer.

Everything Crashes Every Time I Use The Phone?!?

I bought an iPhone 4s this afternoon. As soon as I had synced it with iTunes on my computer, it started doing this thing where every single time I try to do anything (use an app, alter a setting, send a message, edit a contact, etc.) it crashes and returns me to the home screen. I went back to the store and they didn't look at it, but rather decided to just trade out the phone immediately since it was brand new. I just got back home and the exact same thing keeps happening with the new phone. What is the problem? And how can I fix it? I literally can't use anything or do anything on it.

I'm having the same problem. I'm using a Retina Macbook Pro with OS X 10.8.4.
It's not actually crashing (for me at least). What is happening is I double click the scale tool and the Scale Dialog box comes up. I can enter a numer in the first box, but the dialog box becomes unresponsive then. I can not get rid of the box, or do anything else with InDesign CC. My only option is to force quite the program
I have seen this happen at my office when I have my Wacom Cintiq plugged in, or at home when I have a Bamboo Sketch plugged in. I have not noticed it yet without a tablet yet. I don't know if that is the culprit - I only use the Mac without a tablet about 10% of the time.

ID CS 3.0.1 (838) crashes every time I use the Direct Selection Tool

We have recently installed an upgrade to InDesign CS for being able to open documents generated by newer ID versions, thus turning the InDesign version into CS 3.0.1 (838).
Since then, every time we start to use the Direct Selection Tool (white arrow) the program crashes.
As this is a relatively old upgrade (2005), I was hoping to find the solution on the Internet but had no success.
Does anyone know what should we do to solve this problem?

Yes, I did. Even though we're in Brazil, we prefer to use the softwares in their native language (english) in order to get eventual updates more quickly. This also applies to the operational environment (Windows XP Professional - SP3, with the most recent updates installed)

Why does InDesign default back to Picas every time I launch the app?

I have repeatedly set my preferences in InDesign so that the unit of measurements is Inches. Yet, when I launch the app, it defaults back to Picas. Furthermore, even after adjusting the preferences again, when I open a new document the units are still Picas. How do I fix this?

CS5, yes? If so, that's a bug. ID will use the default settings of the language it was installed in. There's a hack to edit the prefs manually, but I don't have a link handy.

InDesign CC crashes every time I use type tool

I just installed InDesign last night and every time I use the type tool the program crashes. Any suggestions?

How do you expect a designer to go through 300 plus fonts to find a font that might possibly cause issues? Indesign CS5 works fine with the fonts installed. Working in safe boot is not an option in a daily work flow. It must be a bug. (Mac intel OS 10.8.4) Indesign does not crash when using text tool on OS 10.6.x

Why does FCPX crash every time I use plug-in effects?

I don't understand why FCPX crashes every time I use a plug-in effect. I install the plug-in effects in the Effects folder - User/Movies/Motion Templates/Effects - and I apply the plug-in effect to the clip in the timeline, but as soon as the clip is in the viewer and I open the inspector FCPX crashes. Why does this happen??
I have tried different plug-in effects, but it crashes every time I try to use the them.
I use a FCPX trial (10.0.1) and I don't have motion 5 installed.

Ok, I need to 'fess up. The issue turns out was not the plug-in. It was my NAS. My Ethernet config was changed then changed back again so although the NAS seemed fine and accessible after the changes, clearly not everything was perfect. The FCP Events and the Project itself I am working on live on the NAS and I work directly from it. A reboot cleared up the whole problem. Dah, I'm such an idiot.

Why does Illustrator CS 5.1 crash on save?

I am running Windows XP and my Illustrator CS 5.1 crashes every time I try to save.
I have made sure that my print spooler is running, and I have also restarted the service as well.
The only file format I can save it in is .fxg (none of the others work).
If I save a blank document, it works (but there's no point in that). When I put a picture or anything else into it, then try to save, it crashes.
I have also tried saving in different locations, and none of them work.
Any help?
Edit: I reset my preferences, and Illustrator now crashes whenever I open something as well.
Good thing I made a backup. I restored my previous preferences, and now it only crashes when I try to save. Yay.
Edit 2: Reinstalled CS 5.1. Indesign crashes on startup. Illustrator crashes when something is opened. Photoshop works.

You have a permissions problem. Reset your file permissions/ file ownership. Select your drive, right-click --> Properties --> Security, then Advanced --> Owner. Take over ownership of your system files and match the normal permissions to suit. you may need to do this several times before everything is straightened out.

Why are my iphoto and itunes crashing every time I open them? This is a new problem on my Mac Mini. Have the latest software on my Mac Mini and the latest iLife sotware. My mac mini is about 5 years old, always kept up to date.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
Also, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive?
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
