Why does iMessage say I haven't registered for the service?

My iPod touch is the white 8gb version running iOS 5.1, and it's new as of yesterday. It works perfectly, apart from the fact that iMessage fails to work consistently... I have an iPhone, which also runs iOS 5.1, and I can iMessage that perfectly. I can also message rope who live locally with no issues. The issue is when I try to message my fiancée, as when I type her email into the "To" box, it says that she isn't registered to use iMessage. This is the same with her, as when she enters my email, she gets the same message. She can talk to other people with no problems, but my iPod doesn't seem to work. We have tried turning it off, then on. We tried wiping the settings. Nothing has worked so far. If anyone can help, I would be very grateful.

Try selecting your fiancee from your contacts app vice entering the email address manually.

Why does iTunes say it is not connected to the internet when the connection is active?

No problems running iTunes on Windows XP machine with Norton Internet Security.
Moved to new computer with Windows 7 - still running Norton Internet Security. iTunes does not start when iPhone4 is connected with USB cable. Worse problem is that all internet activity (check for updates, activate this computer, etc.) is halted with message that computer is not connected to the internet... but it is. All browser and email activity works right.
Do I have a Windows 7 setting problem, a Norton Internet Security setting problem, an iTunes setting problem?

I suspect Norton's firewall is blocking iTunes. I can't tell you offhand where to look to tweak things.

after installing ios7 various apps are saying "connect to itunes for alerts". previously, alerts were working fine. alerts are active in the settings.

Why does iMessage take longer to send messages for certain conversations?

iMessage can take around 15-20 minutes to send messages to certain conversations, but is extremely fast for others (I've noticed that it's generally faster for relatively newer conversations) off of my phone (iPhone 4S running iOS 8). iMessages for the same conversations send infinitely faster off of my macbook pro.
It shouldn't be a wifi/data/network issue because messages sent for different conversations off of the same network take different times to send.

I would delete the contact and then have the other person(s) send you a Mesage and then readd them as a contact.

HP Support Assisstant - why does it not recommend all driver updates for the model?

I use HP Support Assisstant, and it is configured to update my machine weekly. I have had video problems and now have audio problems. How come certain KEY drivers are not coming through on Support Assistant automatically? What's the purpose of having a weekly update if it's not consistent and I have to do research on drivers anyway?

OK, what operating system are you using? When the printer reportedly goes offline, does it still have a valid IP address from the router (print a Wireless Network Test from the front of the printer - make sure the IP is not 169.254.x.x nor 0.0.0.0)?

That's not a shortcut you are creating with "save as", you are saving a copy of the webpage to your desktop - hence the folder with files for that webpage.

Why does it say my wifi is connected but the web page doesn't open?

I would be using the internet for an hour and then it disconnects but says it's still connected. I would have to turn the wifi off and turn it back on then reconnect for it to work. Should I make a genius bar appointment?

It's pretty tough to help if you don't provide any informaton about your system. Please complete your profile so we know the version of OS X and which iMac you have. Try some basics such as resetting your modem and router. Those two are frequent causes of issues.

Check the date and time in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.
Check out why the site is untrusted and click "Technical Details to expand this section.<br>If the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided (sec_error_unknown_issuer) then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
*Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
*Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer of the certificate.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
If "I Understand the Risks" is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
Note that some firewalls monitor (secure) connections and that programs like Sendori or FiddlerRoot can intercept connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.

Why does it say my email was "rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying" when I try to send it?

Why does Adobe Premiere Pro offer more effects for the windows platform than Mac?

Every time I find a cool new effect that I would like to use it seems it is only offered on the windows platform. I am a mac user and wondering why this is.

A lot of that is inertia, though. 3 or 4 years ago, I would have laughed in your face if you'd told me that we were going to move to a PC-based workflow. Then everybody stopped using FCP, Apple refused to update their Pro towers for, like, 3 years, and released a completely redesigned MacPro that has caused us more headaches than it's worth. PPro makes it super easy to bounce projects back and forth between our Macs and PCs. Mainstream computer hardware has become powerful enough that you don't need a professional workstation to edit video and do basic motion graphics. This is totally anecdotal, I realize, but our PCs are every bit as stable (or unstable!) as our Macs, and we've yet to have a single virus on either Mac or PC (mostly because I don't let warez anywhere near our boxes...). At this point, I literally can't think of a single reason to stick with Mac as a platform; if I can put together a $2000 PC that'll perform more-or-less as well as the $3000 MacPro, why would I choose the more expensive option? I guess you could say "ProRes", but I've never really been a fan of ProRes. Besides, DNxHR will be out in a month or two; that'll be the final nail in the ol' ProRes coffin.
I honestly don't mean this to come off as an insult, but I think that in 2014, anyone who tries to tell you that Macs are somehow superior to PCs just doesn't know what they're talking about. Aside from the price, the playing field is pretty level... I hope I don't come off as being an anti-Apple, pro-PC fanboi; I'm just a big fan of rational, informed decisions.

I have firefox 6.02. Why does it keep freezing on me lately for the last week or so?

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
