  • IOS 8.2 draining my iPhone 6 battery

I have bragged on iPhone 6 battery life.  That ended with iOS 8.2 update!  Come on Support I changed Nothing and my iPhone 6 is draining like an old iPhone 4 or 5!!  Surely the Apple Watch updates shoups not require this!  Help?

    Hello Larry Calvert,
I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPhone after the recent iOS 8.2 update; I know how frustrating that can be. To help isolate the cause of the battery drain issue, you may want to make sure you have your data backed up, then try restoring your iPhone to factory settings (with a fresh copy of iOS 8.2) and testing it in that default condition to see if the issues persist before moving your data back. You may find the information and steps outlined in the following articles helpful:
Back up and restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iCloud or iTunes - Apple Support
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
    Sincerely,

  • Does the alarm clock drain the iPhone 4 battery?

My iPhone 4 battery drains overnight and I was wondering if the alarm clock has something to do with it. If this is not the case, is there a way to not have the battery drain overnight?
Please let me know of anything you know to conserve battery life as much as possible.
    _

Leaving it overnight without charging will use small amount of battery. Reason is that it is still connected to a 3G network which draws some power to maintain a good reception. Anything not in sleep mode will use some battery.
To conserve battery life as much, just keep it in the charger overnight. It will not harm the battery as when the phone is fully charged, the charging stops.
I normally keep my phone in my charger when I'm home, but when I go out somewhere I unplug it.

why the ios 8 non is for iphone 4?

    Because iOS 8 requires a dual-core processor. The iPhone 4 has a single-core one.

SHuffle does not play songs in a truly random fashion.  Like all computer related random generators the sequence is pseudo-random

  • Why does IOS 7 enlarge pictures for the wallpaper and then disallow you to make them smaller to fit the screen?

Why does IOS 7 enlarge pictures for the wallpaper and then disallow you to make them smaller to fit the screen?

Now correct me if I'm wrong but I am sure I have read that the parallax effect in iOS 7 is the main reason behind wallpapers not being able to be shrunk. However, even disabling the effect will not allow you to resize the pictures like you could in previous versions of iOS, so as Skydiver119 said, it kind of is a glitch. If you are like me, and don't regularly change your wallpaper, then it may be worth creating a photoshop document which is slightly larger than your screen resolution(400px in each direction or so) and then placing your picture to suit, before copying it your device. Obviously, this would not be ideal if you were changing your wallpaper daily or very regularly as it would be a bit of a hassle having to do this every time you wanted to change your wallpaper.
    Hope this Helps!

  • Ios 6.0.2 is draining my iphone 5 battery

ios 6.0.2 is draining my iphone 5 battery what should i do ?

Turning off wifi makes no difference. Everything turned off but cellular radio - no use of phone - battery drained in 4 hours. I just bought the iPhone 5 to replace my 4S - which I regret. Even on airplane mode, the battery still drains.

  • Why does my iBook connect to WiFi better than my much faster Macbook?

Why does my iBook connect to WiFi better than my much faster Macbook?

Because it has a RISC processor. Just brag about all the MHz or even GHz while you are waiting like other Intel users. Using my trusty G4 rather than MBP becase its simply faster.
    /usr/bin/gcc-4.4 -mcpu=G4 -mpowerpc-gfxopt -maltivec -mabi=altivec -fsigned-char

  • After iOS 8.3 update, my iPhone 5 battery depletes

After iOS 8.3 update, my iPhone 5 battery depletes rapidly.

    hi guys. i'm back.
i solved my problem. i refer my iphone 5 to a local distributor. a repairman checked my iphone and i described my problem. he checked my battery. it was fine! then after an hour excavation around hardware solution he told me that the charging kit crashed because of heavy mobility usage!
yes. i did not covered my phone with any cover. the cpu pressure by ios update crashed the kit! now my phone get back after the kit changed and work finally. i restored my phone to ios 8.2 now.
i'm going to buy new iphone. but i'm really confused if such this issue really happened for iphone 6 too!!!!!
    i'm totally disappointed .

  • Why does the Apple mouse drain so quickly?

I'm not sure if this question is in the right place. I bought a iMac back in January and I've been changing the batteries like every few weeks. My question is why does the mouse drain so quickly?
The batteries in the keyboard have been in there since I got the computer. I think I should buy a wired mouse and just plug it into the back of the iMac. I'm getting sick and tired of having to change the batteries so often.

    Hello:
Battery drain is a function of how much the device is used (no surprise to you).  I find that my mouse batteries last less - probably because I type so slowly, I use the mouse for anything I can.
Let me give you a suggestion based on my own experience.
I use rechargeable batteries and a 15 minute battery charger.  I currently have a drawer full of Energizer 2450 mAh rechargeable batteries and an Energizer 15 minute charger (works for AA and AAA batteries).  Rechargeables last less time than Lithium batteries - I think the reason is different voltages (1.2 vs 1.5).  I obtained all of the batteries and the charger - new - on eBay at a very reasonable price.
By using rechargeables, you are never without a fresh battery more than 15 minutes, and you are environmentally friendly to boot!

  • Why does Data (wifi) stop coverage when IPhone 5C plugged in for recharging?

Why does the Data (wifi) stop working when  IPhone 5c plugged in for recharging?

It does not, or should not.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

  • How does iOS 7 run on the iPhone 4S?

    Hi,
I have an iPhone 4S (64GB) running 5.1.1 and would like to know how iOS 7 actually runs on the 4S. I have read so many conflicting reports about iOS 7 on the 4S that I do not know who to believe anymore. I never updated to iOS 6 because of the much published “WiFi greyed out” issue that haunts the 4S. From what I read, this is ongoing with iOS 7 with no fix in sight as it's hardware issue as a result of shoddy build quality.
My only previous update experience (from one version of iOS to another) is with a 3rd generation iPod Touch which after the update to iOS4 (which broke the video app) and then iOS5 (which at least fixed the video app) is only good for playing music. It so laggy that doing anything else with it is basically impossible.
The iPhone 4S was designed for iOS 5 and not iOS 7. Is the iPhone 4S’s processor up to the task of running iOS 7 without any glitches and lagging? I'd rather stay on 5.1.1 than having my user experience tanked by a phone that it not quite capable of running the new version of iOS problem free. I am not one of those people that MUST have the latest version of iOS not matter what. My phone working reliably (and having WiFi & Bluetooth connectivity) is much more important than a flashy (some would say ugly) new iOS. The only reason I am considering upgrading is for the new call/sms blocking feature. I know Apple says that they are compatible, but they also said that iOS4 & iOS5 will run on a 3rd generation iPod Touch and it just does not....
Any comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
    Tyler

    Hi Tyler
is the other 4S user frequently cleaning the tasks that run in the background?
    - if not: double push the home button and swipe away the unused 'running"-Apps.
(this is also new: it used to be push and hold - then press the X. Now simply swipe them away)
I also have an iPad 1st Gen with iOS5 and find it very helpful to restart it once in a while. This also helps to increase the performance and reduces crashes.
Ok, I have to admit that my 4S also froze in the past, but maximum once in a month or two.  Usually this happened when I tried to do to many things at the same time.
However what I experienced, that the camera App crashed more often when trying to shoot multiple HDR pictures. I believe it is due to the computing, which has to be done by the phone, since HDR means, shooting 3 Pictures and merging them.
My Battery is, as the phone 2 years old and last about a day in business use. I turn off wifi and BT when I don't need it, further reduce the display brightness. This increased my battery life significantly.
Observation with WhatsApp: sometimes I need to close and reboot it (in the task manager), but I related this issue rather to the App than the iOS.
    Good luck
