Why does iPhone skips contacts when syncing?

Why is that when I sync iPhone with my MacBook, then it syncs good but skips contacts. I added alot of contacts on iPhone and now they don't get carried over to my Mac. What can I do? What's the problem?

in that case itune swould need to be totally uninstalled and reinstalled

Does iphone stay open when syncing

I upgraded yesterday to ios 5. I had an error message, and had to restore my iphone 3Gs. Now when it syncs, my phone is no longer locked. Is this part of the new upgrade, or do I have a problem?

Just wanted to throw what I have seen in. I have an AEBS in my house. When my phone is in low power mode with screen dark and I wake it up, the symbol moves from 3G to Wi-fi symbol. When I open my Airport Utility, it shows me the number of users. Unless I actually have Safari on the iphone open and running, it only shows one user (my MBP). When I open Safari on my iphone, then I show 2 users. If I close Safari, it moves back to one user...

Hello,
i've recently updated my itunes. After plugging in my iPod classic to my itunes to put some new music on there, it begins syncing then stops on a certain song. I have set my iPod back to default settings and then began putting all of my music back on once more and again, the sync has frozen at song 600.
Can anyone help?

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.

I believe the duplicate address book accounts stems from the move from MobileMe to iCloud and both accounts still being active.
This is how I merged the two address books:
1) To make sure all the contacts are in both:
a) I selected On My Mac account - clicked on any address - Command A to select all - drag the contacts to the iCloud account - answered OK to merge and resolve duplicates.
b) same in reverse: select the iCloud account - click on an address - click Command A to select all - drag the contacts to the On My Mac account - answer OK to merge and resolve duplicates.
In system preferences I found an iCloud icon and also a MobileMe icon. I was logged in under both.
1) In the Address Book preferences I selected iCloud and unchecked Enable this account.
2) In the Address Book I selected iCloud and clicked on the minus “-” to remove that account – leaving only the local Mac address book.
3) I went into system preferences and logged out of MobileMe
4) In system preferences I opened iCloud and the “Contacts” was not selected (from above) and I selected it.
I got a dialog box asking if I wanted to merge the iCloud contact with the local contacts – clicked YES.
… spinning wheel for a minute … voila – only one address book account – iCloud with syncing to iCloud and my iPhone.

Contacts are stored on the device. The iPhone does not store contacts on the SIM. Make sure you have been backing up the device and syncing your contacts with a supported application on the computer or iCloud or other cloud service. Changing the SIM will not affect your contacts.

I have accidentally erased my iPhone 3 contacts when I innocently toggled the on switch to off. I assumed the information would be stored in iCloud, and would continue to mirror the identical information that is on my iPad2. How do I retrieve contacts?

I have accidentally erased my iPhone 3 Contacts when I toggled to OFF and thught the data was saved in iCloud. The contacts are already duplicated on my iPad2, and if I could send them to my iPhone3, then I could reclaim them all.

If you turned contact sync off, you'll have to turn it back on to sync it back to the phone.
It's extremely unclear what you did where.
