Why does iPhoto start when I attach iPod Touch

When I attach my iPod Touch to my iMac, iPhoto opens along with iTunes. How do I stop iPhoto from opening?

Go to iPhoto>Preferences>General . In line that says "Connecting camera opens" change to no application.

Becasue you have not set your preferences in itunes to open when a device is connected and you have set iphoto to open when a digital camera is connected.

Is it on your Log-In items?
Do you have a disk or device formatted like a camera card attched to your computer - say with a FAT format?

iPhoto opens because your have some screen shots or saved images in your "Saved Photos" library.
You can import them into iPhoto and then let iPhoto delete them from your iPod, then you can sync them back to your Photo library. You can also tap the photo on your iPod and then tap the trash can at the bottom right to delete them. If there are no "Saved Photos", iPhoto won't open.
To turn off iPhoto opening, go to iPhoto preferences -> General and select Connecting Camera opens "No Application" at the bottom of the preferences window.

Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Insert/remove the the headphone plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem.:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since you likely have a hardware problem. Could be a bad headphone jack.

i have been trying to change the theme style of a iphoto book i made and everytime i press change theme is shows its loading and never loads or it crashes. help me out pleas.

That is most likely a shared library issue. The Finder is trying to access your iPhoto library without iPhoto being open. Sometimes when libraries are shared, they can become corrupt.

The easiest way to fix this is to back up your important data and do an Archive and Install which restores your system software. It does NOT erase the drive, you do not have to reinstall any Apple pre-installed software, ie., iLife applications.

I completely uninstalled the printer and drivers and restarted the computer. I then uninstalled and then reinstalled Firefox 7.0.1, restarted the computer and then reinstalled the printer (from the previously downloaded exe file, because I don't have the CD for the printer). Unfortunately, neither of those things worked, but I did notice that when I uninstalled Firefox, it asked if I wanted to save settings, and I said yes and it seemed to remember the Dell 720 printer in the "about:config" menu. So, maybe uninstalling Firefox without saving settings would make a difference. What do you think? Also, I just noticed in the "Add or Remove Programs" menu in control panel that the icon next to "Dell Photo Printer 720" is a little recycle bin, which seems a bit odd. On the dell.com forum, someone suggested using Firefox 5.0.1, available at a different website. Is this worth a shot or are there other more conservative troubleshooting suggestions to try first?

Why does tbird crash when i attach a file?

I am using windows 8, and when I click "attach" TB immediately crashes. If I repeat this 3 or 4 times I can usually get it to attach a file and send it. My question is are there any good email programs worth getting? I liked outlook express, but I hate windows mail because it takes over my desktop.

Why does iphoto freeze when I try to add a location?

Your printer sucks? Sorry, but you need to be a lot more specific - system info, printer info, driver versions, your Acrobat print settings and whatever. Ands ask in the Acro forum.
