why does it say transfering data to other sites when i click on website, i go on a web page and along the bottom says transfering data from other websites all flash along the bottom page

I'm having the same problem with the iTunes Store...it much be down :(

You may be in an area where Rogers doesn't yet have 4G. If so, the iPad will drop back to 3G and will display that to let you know you're running on the older network.

One of my partners in New York just sent me an email to say that when he went onto our site www.101BusinessInsights.info a huge banner appeared on his screen saying " this not a trusted site and that legitimate businesses are trusted by Firefox"
Please can you advise why this is so and what can be done to make sure this does not happen.

Why does it say "Cannot Connect to iTunes store" when I try to install an App?

I'm trying to install instagram onto my phone and When I click Free>Install App a pop up notification says "Cannot Connect to iTunes Store". It doesn't even prompt me to sign in and I can get onto the iTunes App fine. How can I fix this?

Why does iphone use cellular data to contact internet when wifi is available?

If I leave Mobile Data (or Cellular Data) enabled on my iphone,
I find that the phone uses my carrier phone service to access the internet about 10 times
per day. The accesses tend to be mostly very small data transfers (say about 10KB).
I have no idea why these transfers are taking place, but I can see them on my Vodofone bills.
Since I am rarely away from my home wifi facility, I would also expect any access to
use wifi as a first choice, and notify me if there was a need to use cellular access.
So I have 2 questions. What are these data transfers that I am not explicitly requesting,
and why are these data transfers not made through free home wifi as a first choice.
Apple has advised me to turn off mobile data unless I am away from my free wifi.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't used visual voicemail. My preference would be for any data transfer to be done on wifi when wifi is available. Battery life is not currently an issue for me. I do think that it shoud be possible to find out which service or app is causing the data transfer. Although I am not near my data limit at present, I do think that I have a right to know why a service, for which
i pay, is bring used.

Why does phone say there's no SD card when one is clearly installed?

I've been trying to move apps from the phone to the SD card, but when I try to do this, I get a message saying that my phone doesn't have an SD card installed. I opened it up, and sure enough, there's a nice 8GB SD perfectly seated. I took it out and reinstalled it, powercycled the phone and I still get the same message. What gives?

This is completely untrue. Google has "revamped" the security method with which they allow access to the SD card. If an app allows being moved to SD, you can still move it to SD. If an app is capable of using SD for storage, it is still allowed to move data to SD. The issue is, some apps have not been updated to work correctly with this model. If something that you have does not work with SD and it used to work with it, contact the app's developer and ask that they update the app to allow use with the new Google SD card protocol.

Why does CC say I can 'Try' an app when I have pre-paid 1 year?

I am having trouble downloading apps from the Creative Cloud app on my Mac book Pro.
It says Try where it should say Install.
Why is this? I don't want to have to DL the app from my browser, it kind of defeats the object of having the CC app.
Please help.

I believe if your subscription does not include applications it can list them as Try rather than Install. If you are not getting access to what you paid for try contacting Adobe Support directly thru chat.

Why does iTunes say my iPad is "over capacity" when it isn't?

Hi. I saw someone posted about there iPhone last night and added my question there, but since I've not had a response I will create a new question.
I went to sync my iPad yesterday and I got an error saying it was "over capacity." I checked online and saw many discussions about the Other folder (for lack of a better name), so checked the information on how to overcome this. None of the solutions helped so I did a Restore. The iPad set up again and I went to sync, but I get the same error. Not it claims I am 1.8 GB "over capacity." In reality, I am trying to sync about 7 GB of data on an iPad with over 13 GB of free space. I tried updating iTunes (done), checked for an update to the iPad (I have the latest version of the OS), and tried rebooting both the computer and the iPad. I still get the same error.
How can I get iTunes to sync my data?

Are you sure it's not iCloud that's "over capacity".
How much space is used by your Other? You may be able to reduce.

Why does it say that the USB is empty when I try to connect my ipod nano to my car?

I have other devices that will connect to my car without a problem so I know it's not the car... When I plug in my nano it says that it is empty but there are clearly songs on it and I can't find anything for that trouble shooting...

Does the car's manufacturer/stereo say that your particular model and generation iPod is compatible with it? That would be the first place to start.

Why does vault say iCloud Drive has insufficient space when there is plenty available?

I have 49.7GB of Aperture photo data that I want to back up to a Vault. I am running Yosemite and recently upgraded my iCloud drive to 200GB with only 13.7GB currently being used. When I set up a Vault using the iCloud drive it says I have insufficient space. Clearly I don't!
My iCloud account confirms that the space is available. Any suggestions please?

An Aperture vault cannot be stored in iCloud drive. If you put it on a synced volume it will be corrupted by syncing. Write your vault to a locally connected disk like described here for Aperture Libraries:

A vault is essentially an Aperture library, so the same holds. I tested putting Aperture libraries, vaults, and iPhoto Libraries onto iCloud Drive. After the first sync they needed repairing.

How much free space is on your Mac? You can only write files to iCloud Drive that will fit on all devices that are connected to iCloud Drive. iCloud Drive is not like an external disk - it is a shared storage for syncing your Macs. Why does it say my contact's not registered when he is?

I have my friend in my contacts. I tried adding him on iMessage on my iPad, but it says he's not registered. But I saw him use it on his iPhone. What's happening?

An iPhone can send SMS messages like any other cell phone or smart phone via the carrier data plan. The iOS messages app only works with other iOS devices and Mac computers running Mountain Lion or Mavericks. So are you sure that your friend wasn't just sending an SMS message? He still has to turn on and activate iMessage in order to use it on his phone.

Why does Numbers say I need a newer version when I am using the latest version

I am getting the error message "You need a newer version of Numbers to open this file". However, this is a file I created yesterday with this version of numbers.
What gives ? If I ck my numbers version it says no updates available.

This is confusing to a lot of people. When you downloaded the new version of Numbers the old version remained on your Mac. The new version is in Applications. The old version is in a subfolder within Applications. The icons look similar so it's easy to think you're trying to open a document with the new version whereas in fact the old version has been activated and is trying to open it.
If you tend to open documents from Finder then right-click and Open With ... Numbers.app (3.0).
Or you can open Numbers 3.0 (the one in the Applications folder, not the iWork '09 subfolder) and open the document from there.
Any icons you had on the Dock before the upgrade are of course still pointing to the old version.
