Why does it seem like Apple uses support communities to find work-arounds, and not fix the issues found here?

The problem with iTunes clipping last 15-20 seconds of song playback to jump to next song has been a problem listed since 2009, and the only solutions are from community users. No official replies at all from Apple. Why is that? I'm currently having this problem with my iPad2 and latest IOS, with no idea what is causing the problem. They haven't even looked to a fix it seems

Due to phenomenal development in Windows, Microsoft released 4 generations of operating systems, succeeding Windows XP. Hence, on various aspects, Windows XP becomes too old to be used practically these days. So the support was pulled out.
I do agree that Windows XP is the most successful operating system ever, so far. But, later versions added more features, enhanced security and compatibility. Moreover, at this point, Windows XP becomes more vulnerable, although security patches are made.
Ultimately, we need to move to a more secure, feature-rich and highly compatible operating system.
With improved features in newer versions of Windows, the NTFS filesystem has also been improved, adding new features. Hence, certain feaures that are not availble in Windows XP are available in Windows 7, again, in Windows 8.1. So is the disk management
features.
As for Acronis Disk Director, it's a third party software and hence we can't comment on the features/its working.

    As they recommend and as always when you're messing with administrator accounts back everything up first.

    Occasionally ill try downloading an App through my Macbook Pro 13.5 & it directs me to iTunes to be downloaded. So, I go to iTunes and download the App I need. For instance, Amazon. I go into 'My Apps' in iTunes and try clicking on one of my DL Apps, but nothing happens. Why can't I access the Apps, which I downloaded through iTunes.?I believe I'm doing something wrong and not that the issue is iTunes itself.  I have OS X Yosemite 10.10.1. I am due for an upgrade from that software and also an upgrade for iTunes as well, but that shouldn't be the problem. I've tried everything on my end to troubleshoot.     Once you download an iOS app, you cannot run that app from the computer. That can only be run from an iOS device. You cannot download Mac Apps from the iTunes App Store, those are downloaded from the Mac App Store. Two different places. If you want a Mac app that will run on your Mac, you need to download that from the Mac App Store. iTunes App Store only has iOS apps that work on iOS devices, iPhone, iPad, or iPod.

    I still have to disconnect the network cable or wireless before I can connect my laptop to my iPhone. I was hoping the fix would address, but alas NO! Anyone know of a way to fix the issue that iTunes looks as the iPhone being connected as busy port already in use by the internet connection?

    Okay, I'm desperate now. I've tried re-installing, reloading the driver, uninstalling almost all of my apps from my pc and laptop, followed every Apple technical help publication, and every work around published in these forums. I'm not alone and I am frankly tired of it. If an Apple rep suggested unplugging the Internet as the work around, then why can't they tell me how to fix it or what is causing the conflict in the app to think that my iPhone is a busy port. Why does iTunes see my iPhone and my Internet as competing things where the iPhone is not looked at when the Internet is connected. It seems that some developer should be able to figure this out. I'll ask again and try yet again, does anyone have a new work around to fix this? Has anyone figured out why iTunes sees my iPhone as unavailable because the Internet has taken the location where iTunes thinks it should be?

  • How can you take our money for gifts cards and not fix the problems or offer support AFTER it's paid for?

    I am EXTREAMLY annoyed after a 3 hour run around in trying to use my gift card! I promised some apps to my little kids and mommy is busy trying to figure out why it shows a $25 credit but also says my credit card security code is wrong. It's CORRECT and my credit card shouldn't even be used!! I have been raving about IPAD to my friends and told them the apps were great learning tools for their kids. I even shared mine with my child care provider and she was thinking about getting one for her daycare.... Then showing parents who may like it. I WILL be sharing the lack of support for your gift cards! Perhaps I will just go back to the other learning games for my kids and buy games I can count on. We have Lots of Leap Frog and others and not once have I found such a run around!

    Did you try logging into your iTunes account on your computer rather than on the iPad? It may not make any difference but you don't know until you try.
    One other thought - why dont you restart your iPad and see if that helps. Hold down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut down. hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears to power up. Let the iPad fully restart and see if you can go into your account in settings and remove the credit cards - see if None shows up in the settings.
    I restarted my iPad yesterday when I was having iTunes store issues and the issues cleared up. It may have been purely coincidental but its worth a try.

  • Why does it seem that Apple Wifi products are simply not that good?

    I purchased an AP Extreme base station about 4 months ago. To say that I am under-whelmed would be an understatement. I was not impressed with the AP Express I purchased as well. It seems that the products simply do not live up to the expectations. From the other manufactures, I had no such problems as:
    1. Constant drop outs.
    2. Lose of signal when the base station was sitting right next to the computer.
    3. Low signal when the base station was sitting right next to the computer.
    4. No connectivity and trouble joining the network when the base station was sitting next to the computer.
    I have been patient, applied the upgrades (seem to make things even worse if that is possible), and still I feel cheated by Apple because their products simply do not work as advertised. This leads me to think that the 802.11N will also be a money pit. As I type this, the signal is completely gone between my AP Extreme and MBP 17 inch. Gone and the AP E is sitting less than 4 meters away. I have changed frequencies, changed positions (remember, I located it less than 4 inches away and it still could not find or had limited signal strength), done everything possible that I can think of. If anyone has a suggestion other than buying anymore Apple wifi products, I would greatly appreciate this.
    I have taken the new 802.11N off the table to purchase, I would suggest others do the same. They simply do not work as Apple promised.

    I realized I did not answer your question. I have one of the new one's. Core Duo 2's. What are you doing to help your friend? I am willing to do anything now. I have repositioned my AP Extreme, changed channels, reduced power, sacrificed a goat, ran around the house three times and howled at the moon. Nothing seems to work. My wife's iBook (PPC) works like a champ. Strong signal no matter when she goes with it.

    I expect only one "Total is: ..." output to come out since I expect only one thread to wake up from its waiting state from that notify() call. However all three threads wake up. What am I misunderstanding? I thought a thread waits forever unless you pass a time parameter into wait()... or am I wrong?

    Well, first of all, don't discard Exceptions and then wonder about the behaviour of a program :-).
    But that's not the issue here. From some quick testing, I didn't get the same behaviour when I ran using wait/notify on a lock object, not the thread itself:

  • Why does a CRIO-9004 only provide a timed loop of 1kHz (clock) and not 1MHz?

    I essentially have a compact CRIO-9004 and require a PID loop with update rates around 4-5 kHz. Additionally, I was hoping to use multiple 'timed loops' in the program in order to synchronize certain events. During this coding, the timed while loop will not work with a 1MHz clock rate and I am stuck with a clock rate of 1kHz instead. NI claims that PID loops in conjunction with the CRIO may have up date rates as high as 200 ksps. However, it appears that by employing the 1kHz clock that I can only obtain 1 ksps.
    What are my options?

    The 9215 has a conversion time of 4.4us when scanning 1 channel (see page 14 of the 9215 operating manual).  This equates to a little over 227KS/s.  The 100KHz value is if you are reading from all 4 channels.

    If you know your correct gmail passwords open the Keychain Access aplication and delete all gmail passwords. Insert your correct gmail passwords when asked for them and allow them to be stored in your keychain.

  • When I import a compilation CD to my library, why does it sometimes show in my library under V for various artists and sometimes at the end with the other compilations? Can I amend this?

    I know how to import CD's but I have some compilation CD's that show in my library as Various Artists but other compilations in the library are at the end. As far as I can see, they are all ticked as compilations but I can't get them all in the same place.
    Anyone offer a solution?

    Generally setting a common Album title and Album Artist will fix split albums. For compilations of tracks by different artists set the album artist to Various Artists and also set Part of a compilation to Yes on the Options tab if using the old dialog box (hold down shift when you Get Info) or tick Album is a compilation of songs by various artists if using the new one.

    Yes, I just tried playing a 10-second mp3 file I acquired from The Oatmeal and didn't once pass my external hard disk.  It's a simple, monotone, high-frequency sound, but I get the same results: VLC's UI is still responsive, but its functionality freezes up, i.e. the buttons are still animated, and the menu still works, but there's no sound, the progress bar doesn't move, and the file doesn't play.
