Why does it show that 4.2.9 is the latest version available when 4.3.4 is?
I have the newest version of iTunes 10.3.1.55, and I check for new iPhone update and it says I have the latest update. Yet I know there is a newer one.
I have the iPhone 4 from Verizon. What do I do?

From your description it sounds as if you may still have the old http://www.google.com/firefox Firefox start page hosted by Google as your homepage. This old default homepage is no longer used as '''about:home''' has been in use since Firefox 4.0

I just purchased an iTunes TV show and it successfully downloaded. It is now saying that I do not have the proper version of QuickTime on this version of iTunes (10.6.3).
How can a show I purchased be incompatible with the latest version of iTunes?
I want a refund, but I can't even figure out how to request one through support. I still don't understand how I purchased something from iTunes that doesn't work with iTunes.

I am trying to synch my husband's I Phone and cannot. i have already done mine, which is identical to his. When I try to synch his, I get the message that i need to download the latest version of i tunes, which i have done. Each time i try to synch, it tells me the same thing. Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?

On the homepage of firefox it sayd that I do not have the latest version of firefox. So i desidet to update it, but after that it kept on telling me that I do not have the latest version. I am sure that I have the latest version because I just updated it. Is it possible that the update did not work or is just an advertisement firefox shows to everyone? Companies such as powerbookmedic, wegenermedia, and others can take in portable macs of vintage or newer (contact them for details on what they do, and how they accept work orders) for repair and can fix most anything; and have a parts inventory. Modern repair workstations allow the equipped service company to fix complex issues and they do troubleshooting. Sometimes the cost is less than a replacement logic board.

Usually the issue is caused by hardware, especially if there is an indication of machine failure in the crash log or other screen image text.
A working last model MacBook (mid-2010) would be a better 'first mac' to have.
Hopefully you can sort it out.
If not, there likely are fair parts in it.

On the opening page of Firefox, I am constantly reminded (and sometimes warned) that I do not have the latest version of Firefox. Yet, when I click for upgrade, I start getting a download of the same version 8.0.1 which I am already running.
This - http://www.google.com/firefox - is the old Firefox Start Page used by the Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions of Firefox, I don't think it is being maintained.
Starting with the Firefox 4 version, Firefox is using a "local" Start Page with the address of '''about:home'''. It looks similar to the old Start Page, but it isn't exactly the same. -
i have a HP laptop, when i try to do certain things that require flash player it tells me i need to install the latest version so when i try it says its already installed. i have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions and it stll isnt working. Firefox has been asking everyday to update to the latest version. When I said ok it said that my Google bar wasn't compatible so I declined the update for weeks.
You seem to have Firefox 5.0 already installed and the Google toolbar will not work with that version or any future version of Firefox. Firefox 5.0.1 is the current version. Firefox 6 is scheduled to be released (replacing Firefox 5.0.1) on 08-16-2011 (subject to change).

Why does Firefox tell me that I don't have the latest version of Flash but Adobe tells me that I do?
Firefox keeps telling me that I have to upload a newer version of Adobe Flash. However, Adobe tells me that I have the latest version. I am trying to upgrade to OS X Mavericks but when I click on download, nothing happens. It shows as purchased but nothing is happening. I have the MacBook Pro Late 2011 model. A technician here was able to reload the original OS but all my pictures, files and contacts were

You may see that message below the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old Firefox default home page. That page is no longer being maintained by Google.
You should try changing your home page to:
about:home
If you don't know how to change the home page, you should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]].
