Why does Itunes 10.6 keep opening itself (Windows7 64 bit)
Ok so this has been driving me nuts if I open iTunes once it will continuely reopon itself and with my computer it happens within seconds after closing iTunes. I went to the specific 64 bit download page from apple for iTunes. I have uninstalled itunes then went through and removed every apple file I could find on my hard drives. After doing this tedious task I reinstalled using their "64bit Client" and the problem presists. The only work around I have found is to change itunes.exe and ituneshelper.exe to windows 7 compatiblity mode and change it to run as administrator. But now when I try to use wifi sync iTunes cannot open. I have been reading and everyone says close third party apps, but I have none. I even uninstalled my Logitech G15 software thinking that was causing the problem. I know apple have gone the way of "we are a hardware company" but I don't see why they have to create absolute garbage software like this which runs their hardware. It happened during 10.5.4 and now 10.6, and from what I can see other people have been having this issue way before me.
Refer to this discussion link. It's the Logitech Gaming software.

Why does itunes 10.5 keep opening and how can I stop this annoying behavior?
Has anyone else had this problem and do you know of a solution?
I too have this same gamma switching/ auto contrast error in Quicktime Player and iTunes movie playback and it has been most frustrating for a while now.
For fullscreen video playback it makes both applications completely useless for professional and private use.
I can confirm that when the mouse is moved the effect disappears and the image quality returns to the original state. However this should not be happening and we need to get to the bottom of it for the benefit of others in the future.
Thanks in advance! Any help would be much appreciated. -

Why does my loud speaker keep switching itself on my iphone
why does my loud speaker keep switching itself on my iphone.Every time I'm on my phone the loud speaker keeps coming on autermaticly
Call AppleCare (number is in the manual) and then request to speak to Customer Service. Be patient, organized and articulate and they will transfer you. When you get to speakt to someone then explain your problem and ask for their help. You should have all your receipts, invoices, trouble ticket numbers etc available for reference.
You can also take to an Apple Store in Spain, while this may not be convenient at least then an Apple person can see the machine and work on it. -

Why does my iphone 4 keep rebooting itself uncontrollably
i left my iphone 4 in my car in sub zero temperatures for a few hours while skiing and when i came back it started acting all weird and refused to turn on. so thinking it was just cold and needed some time to reheat itself, i wernt home and plugged it in and let it warm itself back up for the night. i went and checked on it later on in that same day and i would work, but the processing seemed unusually slow. for example the screen and menu button would delay bigtime. thinking it was still a little cold i decided to reet it and then from there it progessively got worse to the point where neither the screen or menu button would work. i have tried plugging it into my computer, itunes will read that my iphone is there but it just keeps turning itself on until it reaches the lock screen, then it will reboot itself and continue this process. some help please!!!
Clear the App from background memory, and then try it again.
Do not use the faulty App.
If this happens with all Apps, Restore iphone firmware with iTunes, when asked at end set up as New.
If still problems could be faulty battery, which will be covered by Warranty. -
Why does my Iphone 3 keep opening the ap store when I use Safari?
This just started happening. My phone keeps opening up the app store by its self. This happens when I am on a web site. I will then show I have 2 apps to update, but nothing needs updated. I have closed all open apps, cleared history and cookies and data in safari, and reset the phone. Nothing works. Can someone please help?
there should be a way to prevent such behaviour.
There is. You can go to Settings -> Safari -> Advanced and turn off JavaScript. That will break many websites though. Or, you can simply stop visiting the sites that are doing this, which would be my choice.
Alternately, if this is happening with every single site you visit, you may be having some problems with your network. As an example of the sort of thing I'm talking about, see:
Brazilian internet service provider hacked
Although the following page is written for Mac users, and thus some of its advice is not appropriate for the iPhone, you can still find some good information on such problems here:

Here's the issue-I have two iTunes accounts, yet account #1 always comes up when I want to update my apps. This occurs even when account #2 is logged in and has been synced from desktop to iPad. Additionally,Account #2 is logged in on the iPad and yet account #1 prompt appears when updating. Interestingly account #2 functions normal for iTunes purchases but not apps purchases. Any suggestions?
Apps will ALWAYS be tied to the account from which they were purchased. You will always have to update the apps from the account from which they were purchased.

Why does itunes also try to open in my inactive desktop (wndows7)
When I plug my apple device into my (windows 7 home) computer; ipod nano or iphone 5 (ios 7) itunes tries to open not only on my desktop but also on a desktop in the background. this causes interference when trying to sync my device to the computer. I hear error sounds and when I open the other desktop I will find several messages telling me that I cant open more than one copy of itunes at a time on the computer. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled itunes but this has not fixed the problem. I also have tried closing the other desktop, and this does work but I am concerned about the underlying problem - that maybe something is crossed between the 2 desktops?? This has been a issue on this computer for over a year. any suggestions?
As you have pointed out, the message told you that you cannot have two copies of iTunes open at one time. So uninstalling and reinstalling will not achieve anything.
steve10000 wrote:

Of course, because then you do not have more than one copy of iTunes open.
steve10000 wrote:

It's been this way as long as I have used iTunes on two user accounts (and that's several years). My only suggestion is that you close iTunes on one user account before opening it on the other account. It's what I do.
Of course, if you so wish, you could send feedback to Apple, at http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html but I wouldn't get your hopes up if I were you. -
Why does my ipod touch keep pausing itself?
While listening to my first generation ipod touch, it will just pause itself. Whether using headphones, auxillary jack, or skull candy speakers which connect through the charging port on the ipod. REALLY ANNOYING!
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Why does my ipad mini keep restarting itself?
I bought an ipad mini in Feb, 2013 and until 2 weeks ago it has been working like a charm. Now my ipad mini restarts on its own without my consent. I have witnessed it restart when i have been reading books from ibooks, when opening programs, when listening to music and a few times when it hasn't been in use just sitting on the bench in screen saver mode. Yesterday i plugged the mini into my laptop and determined that i am currently using the most up to date software and that ensured i had saved a back up on the icoud and my computer. Finally i went trhough itunes to restore my ipad to is factory settings. This was completed this morning without a glitch only to find some 10 hours later my ipad is continueing to restart without any warning. Help!!

Why does Permanent Private Browsing keep enabling itself?
Every time I open Firefox, Permanent Private Browsing is enabled.
I tried to disable it manually countless times (by un-checking the box next to "always use private browsing mode" in the options window), but then I quit firefox and when I open it up again, there it is enabled again.
Please note that I mean PERMANENT mode, not the temporary option on the main menu. How do I turn off Private Browsing?
* https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Private%20Browsing#w_how-do-i-turn-off-private-browsing
-> click '''Firefox''' button and click '''Options''' -> '''Privacy''' panel -> '''History''' section -> ''under'' '''Firefox will:''' ''select'' '''"Use Custom Settings for History"''' -> REMOVE Checkmark from '''Permanent Private Browsing mode'''
* place Checkmarks on 1) Remember my Browsing History 2) Remember Download History 3) Remember Search and Form History 4) Accept Cookies from sites -> 5) Accept Third-party Cookies -> ''under'' '''Keep Until :''' ''select'' '''They Expire'''
* REMOVE CHECKMARK from CLEAR HISTORY WHEN FIREFOX CLOSES

If it is for business, you should have multiple booable backup copies of your system so you can work from another hard drive.
I keep a spare computer handy if one of them runs into trouble.

Why does my 2010 MBP keep restarting itself after upgrading to Yosemite?
This problem actually started once I upgraded to Mavericks - my MacBook Pro will randomly restart itself every 30 seconds - 15 minutes or so. I don't really have a good estimate of the occurrence though since it is so random and there seems to be no rhyme or reason. The only thing I can say is that it pretty much always restarts if I am resizing windows. When I upgraded to Yosemite from Mavericks, it kept restarting itself but now it restarts twice every time! It's added an additional restart in the middle of the boot up screen. I reformatted the drive, reinstalled the original software and then reinstalled all the software upgrades and the problem persists. I know I should probably take it in to see a Genius as my best guess is that there seems to be an error with the graphics card, but I'm a college student on a very tight budget, so if there's anything I can do myself to fix this that would be great! Any help is appreciated! Here is the text from the last kernel panic:

After five minutes of opening up logic the computer will start opening up the new track window followed by a new time signature window, this is an infinite loop that normally ends up with logic crashing. The problem started after plugging in my Yamaha psr-280 into the keyboard I've unplugged it but this seems to make no difference. Help??
