Why does itunes download already deleted apps from icloud?

Here is the order: I downloaded an app on my iphone using 3G. I delete the app from my phone. A few days pass by. I am in an area with WIFI. Both my phone and computer are on WIFI. iTunes automatically starts downloading everything I have on my phone that was not there during the last sync. I want it to do this.
Here's the problem: itunes is downloading apps I already deleted from my phone. How can I stop this? Does icloud not register that I don't have the app on my phone anymore?

If you truly want it gone, you need to delete it from iTunes/iCloud as well as the iPhone.
There is no setting for individual apps. If you don't want any apps to sync, there is a check box under the app listing in your iPhone's Apps tab in iTunes. Not sure if/where it is in iCloud.

You can't at this time. Apple FAILED to permit iCloud user with ability to delete programs that you deleted from your iPad/iPhone devices. As great iCloud is just know that if you download an app and don't like it you stuck with it in the cloud dispute you deleting it from your device.

How does one remove unwanted apps from iCloud. (using a iPad)

when I go to delete my apps there they are... in the purchased section of the apps store, so if it wasn't in iCloud then I didn't need the storage... even tho it kept saying I didn't have enough room.
When/where do you see this message?
Either your iPad or your computer did not have enough room and iTunes would have told you this.

There's a glitch in my words with friends app that causes me to continually loose sound. Problem is every time I re:download the same app from iCloud I get the recurring problem. Is there anything I can do here? Pls help because it's driving me nuts!

I'm not seeing that problem with Words with Friends on my iPhone 5 with iOS 8.3. Check your sound settings.
Try the standard troubleshooting steps in this order:
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds). No data will be lost.
Restore: Connect your device to iTunes on your computer, backup, and then select Restore to Factory.

Why does iTunes always sync old apps back to my phone when restoring from back-up?

I can't seem to stop this happening - I delete apps frequently from my phone as I find I have no use for them. I regularly sync my phone to iTunes and I expected this to mean that old apps would be deleted from there as well, the same as contacts and photos are modified. But whenever I've restored from a back-up, I end up with all my old apps back on. I'm currently restoring from a back-up and it's syncing 1560 apps back onto my phone! I only had 346 on there that I wanted! But obviously I do want it to sync apps back on because I really can't be bothered to download 346 apps again, but why can't it just sync the apps back on that were present on my most recent back-up? This seems to be one of the many dumb things that iTunes does...

Syncing apps is a transfer/copy process, not a true sync process as with contacts, and the same for all iTunes content.
All apps on your iPhone should be in your iTunes library. If you have Sync Apps selected under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, after downloading an app direct with your iPhone the app will be copied to your iTunes library automatically along with being selected the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after doing so. If you delete an app direct on your iPhone, the app should be deselected automatically under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after doing so - so the app won't be reinstalled on your iPhone with a following sync with iTunes. Your selections under the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes is included with your iPhone's backup.
No iTunes content in your iTunes library will ever be erased via the iTunes sync process.

Why doesnt iTunes recognize already purchased music from itunes?

In Complete My Album, iTunes fails to identify already purchased portion of album. Example: When looking to purchase newly released songs from An artist or TV show such as Nashville, iTunes fails to identify those already purchased. Sorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places.
For redownloading apps, look here for instructions. For songs, movies, and videos, if you don't have a backup of your purchased items and don't have them on another iOS device, you may be out of luck and will need to repurchase your content.
If you have your content on an iOS device, post back and someone here can help you get them restored. Otherwise you can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service (select the "Music Purchases" or "Video Purchases" category, as appropriate, then "Lost or Missing Items". Why does it say cannot purchase apps from the app store?

Seru so often when trying to purchase an app from the app store on y iPhone 4 it'll say " unable to download kik messenger and other items" please help! I used to only say unable to purchase kikessenger but now it says 28 other items too!

Are you trying to get these apps FROM THE APP STORE and not third parties? If so, then try to restart you iPhone. That may fix the problem. If the problem is still there then make sure you are using the right password.

How can I permanently delete apps from iCloud on my child's iPad

Up front, I'd like to say that this question has nothing to do with storage space - rather, it's about deleting apps, for parenting reasons, the iCloud.
We wish to permanently remove select apps from our child's iPad. We cant seem to do this - while they are not active on the home screen, by going into itunes or the App Store, they can simply be downloaded again without our knowledge or consent.
Are there any provisions for parental controls over the iCloud?

By going to settings - general - restrictions - parental controls can be setup to limit the age appropriate content including apps. By hiding those apps on your computer you may be able to change their visibility as well, but I haven't had a chance to check it - try it yourself if you want.

Is there any way to delete apps that I don't want from iCloud so they don't keep installing on my devices and taking up space on my iCloud?

Delete them from iTunes, then they won't keep reinstalling when you sync.

This is crazy! I had two "Sexual" apps downloaded and I have no idea how. I am totally against it and angry that all I can do is hide it! It is not something that I want associated with me. I downloaded a few "free" apps yesterday and then all of a sudden I was seeing those apps in my list. I am so angry I feel like throwning ALL of my APPLE crap out the window! Computer - iPad2 - iPhone4s - iPods multiple!
I am very dissapointed in this sorry answer! I want to be able to contact the creators of the apps too. There is NO way anyone downloaded them as it would have to be ME...PLEASE add the functionality, for crying out loud!!!

Why does itune download delete my disc drive

when i download itunes soft wear for my ipod nano it appears to delete my disc drive. then i reinstall my disc drive and it deletes parts of the itunes software. then i reinstall itunes and around and around in circles i go depending on which program i want to use. surely there must be a way of having both my disc drive available when i want to listen to a CD that is not in my library or watch a DVD and still have a fully working itunes for storing music, syncing to my nano and burning CD's? can anyone help.

I just started using iTunes acouple weeks ago after I purchased my first iPod. My computer was behaving fine up until I installed iTunes. After the install and a reboot, I could not burn any CD's nor load any music via my DVD/CD Drive. ??? What happened? I right clicked on "My Computer" and the Drive had disappeared from there also. I contacted Dell (under warranty), they shipped me out a new DVD-CD/RW Drive. Same problem, the Drivers for the Drive were in conflict with something(?). Just last night, after 5 evenings with tech support from Dell, and UNINSTALLING iTunes 4 different times. The problem is narrowed down to:
iTunes; after uninstalling iTunes, the DVD-CD-RW Drive appears again. But after a restart, it disappears again. When iTunes is installing itself it is changing Registry Files, what the mystery is: What are iTunes Registry Files CONFLICTING WITH?? The conflict appears to be with other Disc Burning Software. I'm going to uninstall some other programs tonight and see if that solves my problem. Such as: ROXIO, Windows Movie Maker, a CD-W Backup Program, etc.... Conflict in Registry files seems be with them.
I had to order an external harddrive to backup my computer and back up iTunes before the iTunes uninstall, because I could not use my DVD-CD/RW Drive, YES you will loose rights to your purchased items if you do not backup!!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you would like to disable showing the music that is not downloaded to your phone. You can easily do this by turning off “Show All: Music” in your settings:

Why does itunes download itunes extras twice for movies

Hi All,
I lost some movies so am having to re download again from the purchased section in itunes.
When i download i have been downloading all three versions of the film, sd, 720p and 1080p.
The problem i have it is downloads itunes extras for every version. The file is smaller in size for the sd which in understandable however the file is the same size for the 720p and 1080p so im guessing i have exactly the same files twice in the library.
Also when i look at my movies collection in itunes in shows the film three times! On one icon i can open either the extras or the film and on the other two icons only the extras. When right clicking on the extras icons it shows a file size on both which make be belive they are both sd versions!
Any help would be apreciated.

Why does itune delete my pdf when syncing?

I'm just got a ipad air 2, and I'm totally new to apple both software and hardware. One thing I don't understand is why does iTunes prompt to delete my existing pdf in my ipad which I download from my email when I sync up with itune where I had some other pdf? (under the ibook)
from a logical point of view my understanding of the word "sync" is to ensure both side (ipad and itune library) had the same data or files when there is a different in data/file. (correct me if i'm wrong)
pls advice on how to do a sync which ensure both side of data is same why syncing. as I travel around I don't always keep my doc in the itune computer.

Syncing is from a computer to a device, when you sync it takes what you've selected on the tab in iTunes and replaces what you've currently got in the app on your iPad with that selection.
You should be able to copy them over to your computer's iTunes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases (though they aren't iTunes purchases that should copy PDFs and/or epubs in the iBooks app on your iPad) - and if your computer is a Mac with Mavericks or Yosemite on it then do File > Move Books From iTunes in its iBooks app to move them over to it. They should then show on the iPad's Books tab for selecting / syncing / keeping on the iPad.
