Why does Itunes keep opening every 30 seconds?

When I have Itunes minimized on my toolbar it keeps popping up in front of all my other windows and programs about every 30 seconds. It is making it impossible to listen to music in Itunes while I play a game or work on my writing. Any help would be very much appreciated!

The probleme seem to be with MSN Messenger with the option "Show the music that is playing". I disable this and it fix the problem. But still its a probleme because I have to disable something to make that annoying things go off.

Why does Calendar keep opening my Mail.app to send me email notifications? I've disabled any settings that look like they could be used to sending me an alert. I've also read that disabling the email alerts in gmail would also help (since I use 3 gmail calendars in addition to my icloud calendar). Any ideas on how I might fix this issue?

Why does Firefox keep opening 3 random tabs while browsing different websites?

Just to clarify: They are never spam websites. They may be 3 of the same website, but it is always random. I only browse safe websites. This usually happens while Stumbling (StumbleUpon).
For example:
StumbleUpon brought me to this website:

I have Windows Vista Home Basics 32-bit. And is running Firefox 8.0. (This problem existed in 7.0 and previous as well.

I've already done this, and it says nothing is wrong with my system.

HP Photosmart C8180 Printer! WHY does this keep happening every day??

I have only had this for 3 months and it already has problems.
It keeps telling me its out of paper when it is not.
i always have at least 20 sheets in there!
You can hear the rollers going but it can't pick up the paper and I only use high quality A4 paper in there.
i then have to pull the tray out and push it back in, and yes i have the paper inserted in there correctly
also, sometimes when i get this "out of paper" message, i ignore it and just press OK and it works fine
why does this keep happening?

A printer is an item meant to print.
It is generally helpful if a printer recognizes such out-of-the-ordinary, eccentric, unheard-of media such as...oh, I dunno, 8.5 x 11-inch PAPER?????
It claims repeatedly to have run out of paper. No paper. No paper. Insert paper into paper tray. Now, granted, the minimalist quality of the paper tray--it holds 20 pages, roughly--might convince you that I had indeed used up all my paper; this is not the case. 18 of the 20 sheets are still there. So I readjust that paper, close the tray. It starts to pull in a piece of paper, and then there is the giant crunchy noise of a paper jam in progress. And forget about “easy access” for removing them, either.
In the months I have had this printer, I don’t believe it has EVER allowed me to print five pages consecutively without some sort of problem. To me, this is known as an EPIC FAIL.

So how is the printer set up? Is it wireless or USB? If USB you will need a cable, purchased seperately. It is a standard A/B USB cable widely available inexpensively. (The $1 cables form the dollar store work fine....

Why does iTunes keep reseting my library?

This is the second time this has happened: everything will be working fine (as fine as iTunes 7 can) and then I'll wake up one morning and BAM! - all the songs and delightfully crafted smart playlists will be gone, replaced by no songs and the default playlists iTunes gives you. The music files aren't gone from my hard drive, just the ratings, play counts, date added and last played data and all that stuff iTunes takes care of. I wouldn't be so frustrated, but my smart playlists are either based on the songs' ratings, play counts or how recently they were added.
Last time I had to manually rip them from my iPod using one of those ripping programs (thanks to Apple's refusal to allow iPod to PC synchronising) which took me ages because I'm too stingy to pay for the registered version and had to keep clicking a "buy me" notice every 50 of 3500 songs, as well as changing the date on the computer so the 'date added' data wouldn't be too out of whack.
After the last time this happened I backed up the library xml file, but that was in early October and since then I've added several hundred songs, and it looks like I'll have to do the same procedure again to get back my data. So, is there any way to prevent this from ever happening again? Or, why does this happen to my library at all?

It keeps happening to mine as well. Honestly I think it's something that iTunes (or Apple) does if they find out you haven't been paying over 200 dollars for songs from them. I read an artical about that as well. It doesn't help that when I e-mailed the staff about this, they sent me an e-mail back basically saying: If you bought our songs, then we can return them to you... if not, then it ***** to be you.

Why does iTunes keep launching?

All of a sudden, out of the blue, iTunes keeps launching when an alarm goes off in the application Alarm Clock Pro (ACP). My wife is a teacher and ever since August 2011 I created alarms to notify her five minutes before the end of her classes. She doesn't know how to change anything in ACP and she doesn't use iTunes. Nothing has been changed but last week every time an alarm goes off iTunes launches.
I've gone through and checked the preferences in both programs and nothing points to this issue. I know, ACP has an option to launch and play something in iTunes but this is NOT selected.
Any help or suggestions?

I thought at one time you there was a setting to prevent iTunes opening when a device was plugged in, I don't believe that the sync option will prevent that.
In your login items, System Preferences/Users and Groups do you have an item "iTunes Helper" I think this is the application monitoring the devices you plugin.
You could try closing that application in Activity Monitor and plugging your devices in and checking if it stop iTunes opening, also check if it stops it opening through the day. If it does just remove it from your login items after confirming it does not impact on other iTunes uses.

Why does Firefox keep opening new Windows rather than a new Tab in the current window?

I have " Open a new Tab in the current Window" select in Preferences.
Why then does this version (Version 4) keep opening new Windows, rather than new Tabs in the current Window.
This feature worked fine in 3.6.1.3, but in Version 4, it is a frigging pain in the rigging!

When I want to listen to music on my iPhone, iTunes keeps asking for my password. I am not purchasing anything. It started today. Why is that?

I've been having the same problem on my iPad and iPhone. I talked to Apple customer service this morning. They had me do the following on both devices in the Settings:
* Sign out of iTunes & App Store
* Sign out of FaceTime
* Sign out of Game Center
* Delete iCloud account
They also had me restore my iPad due to some glitchy behavior in the Music app.
Things seemed to me fixed for a few hours until I went into the iTunes Store app on my iPad and added a movie to my Wish List. When I went back to the Music app, the dreaded "Sign In to iTunes Store" popup started showing up again on both devices. Suspicious!
So, I cleared out my Wish List in both the iTunes Store and App Store. I've been poking at the Music app on both my iPhone and iPad since then I haven't seen that popup once since then. I'm not going to declare victory yet since it's only been an hour or two, but I thought that this was worth mentioning.

Why does Firefox keep Opening My Hotmail link in a new window?

I have went to Tool-internet options-tabs-Open new windows in tab instead. And when Im at msn.com and click on the '''hotmail''' link it keeps opening it in a new WINDOW and not a tab. just really anoying was wondering if im missing something in options to set this strait :)
Edit: and i have tried Control Panel-Internet Options too.

Yes, this happens to me all the time too, but I can just be clicking on a link within a page when it happens; my mouse pointer isn't anywhere near the tabs...??

I'm ready to tear my hair out. This is NOT what I want to be doing at 11:43PM. It all started because I wanted to download the song "Wild Thing" the other night. I got a message indicating to download it I have to upgrade to iTunes 6. Given that it's a free upgrade, why not. After a couple of days of assorted problems doing the installation, finally got that right (or so it seemed).
However, every time I click to open iTunes, it immediately crashes. When I click to report the crash to Microsoft and follow the link, I get this message (my narrative continues after the Microsoft info below).

Go back to a version of iTunes that worked for you. When I upgraded to 6.0.2, I crashed every time I plugged an iPod in. I went back to 6.0.1, and everything works fine now. Make sure you completely uninstall your current "upgrade" of iTunes, then go to http://www.filehippo.com/download_itunes/
to get a prior version of iTunes for installation.
Please respond if this works. Seems like problems after the 6.0.2 release of iTunes for Windows have been rampant. Like you, I assumed that every upgrade of iTunes was automatically an improvement. Not so, at least for me and a lot of other users.

Why does Finder keep crashing every 2 seconds?

every two seconds a "finder quit unexpectadly" window keeps popping up, i can't open finder. on the top menu bar finder is there but i can't click on anything but the apple logo. i've looked everywhere and can't seem to find a solution. i've gone into safe mode and the same problem occurs i've tried recovery mode and repairing the disk and the the same thing. I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.5

It sounds like your Finder application is constantly quitting unexpectedly. I recommend starting by verifying and if need be, repairing your starup disk:

Why does browser keep refreshing every few seconds. I keep getting kicked of of sites that require log in because my browser refreshes and sends me back to log in page.

I use the same plug-ins i always have, with the exception of faster fox. I got the plug in off of c-net. The first thing I did was disable that plug in. I do remember at one point i used to have a plug in that allowed you to set the refresh intervals. I don't remember which is was though as I got rid of it a long time ago. I have checked every option I can think of to no avail..please help.

If you have an infected system, Firefox will get infected no matter how many times you reset it. Refer to a specialized forum to clear the malware from your system.

If you haven't disabled the malware and phishing protection features, and you have a good and up-to-date anti-virus, then visiting web sites shouldn't be an issue. Installing questionable software on the other hand allows malware to do anything on your system.
