Why does lookout have no CatID in the registry?
I have been having problems connecting to a Lookout 5.0 OPC server. I noticed that the Lookout OPC server is missing a CatID in the registry, and my other two OPC servers (RSLinx, KepServerEX) have the same value for this field. I have modified my registry to include the following which is already listed under my other two OPC servers:
{6E6170F0-FF2D-11D2-8087-00105AA8F840}
Registered as OPC 2.0 compliant Server
{63D5F430-CFE4-11D1-B2C8-0060083BA1FB}
Registered as OPC 1.0 compliant Server
You can see this by using the NI server explorer and viewing properties of your OPC server. Look at the Registry tab.
After making these additions to my Registry I am able to connect to Lookout but I am getting some strange be
havior, such as only being able to have one active connection. Can someone explain to me why Lookout does not have these values in the Registry, and if adding them is not valid please explain.

The problem is that my data collection software (VisualPlant by EMT) is unable to browse to the National Instruments.LookoutOPCServer. When I added an Identification category to the registry entry for the lookout OPC server I was able to connect but with some odd behavior. My setup is:
2 machines each running Win NT4 SP6a. One machine is running Lookout as well as several other OPC servers. The other is running my data collection software. I am able to connect to lookout using several client apps on my data collection machine (Kepware's Quick Client, and Matrikon's Client), however my data collection software (VisualPlant) cannot see Lookout. Using the NI server explorer and viewing the properties of all of my OPC servers I noticed that Lookout was the on
ly one listed that did not have a CatID. By modifying the registry and adding the ID's listed in my original note I was able to connect using VisualPlant, however this exibited some odd behavior. It appears that adding this setting prevents multiple OPC connections to Lookout. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

How Captivate does import is, it fetches all the PPT/PPTX source content in the import process and then produces the Selection box where you can choose what all slide you want to bring in and then on proceeding it converts those slides to Cp compatible Slide structure and introduces them at the stated slide location.
What, I understand (Looking at your other thread) you do not link and re-import all slides after making any small change. So, if these modifications are being made by same individual on same machine, he can simply right click and edit the presentation from PowerPoint and save it to bring all the changes (this can be done without switching to linked in library).

Why does Safari have trouble connecting to the web?
I keep getting the message, Safari cannot open the page, because your iPad is not connected to the internet. I have reset my wifi connection daily, unplugged my router, plugged it back in. I shut my iPad down with the power button. I have called my internet provider. But the problem continues daily. My lap top has no problems, or the Windows Tablet.
New information about the problem:
I discovered the apple applications work when I have a wired ethernet connection to the wireless router but they don't work when I'm only connected wirelessly. Are there settings in the router I should check? I still wonder why it's only apple apps having this issue. -
While watching an iTunes movie from my Apple TV, why does my movie stop playing at the 1 hour mark? I'm assuming I have a setting causing this to happen, but I have no idea what setting needs to be changed. Can someone help me?
It's right at an hour (consistently), but the computer goes to sleep prior to that. It's as if iTunes goes to sleep. Also, it wasn't always this way. Originally, the movies played through without interruption. At some point, I guess a setting was changed, and now I only get an hour. Also. My energy settings are set to go to sleep at 10 minutes.

Suddenly all my tabs closed. Then Windows told me I had a gazillion infections. Then a tiny strip appeared saying it was Firefox and these little blocks started to fill up the little strip as if it were downloading something--there was no way to cancel this so I cut the power. The main problem with malware is that it uses the installation to proliferate by contacting hostile servers to download more of the same rogue code.
Firefox doesn't have the option to "Run" a file. You can only "Save File" or "Cancel". If you downloaded it with IE8, then yes, you can run it, but that's not what I wanted you to do.
What you should do now is to disable System Restore. You can open System Properties by hitting the Windows logo key and Pause/Break key together. Then click the "System Restore" tab. Then checkmark the box which says "''Turn off System Restore on all drives''". Reboot to clear its contents. System Restore unfortunately makes a backup of all executables which includes viruses so that when you reboot without deleting them first, System Restore reinstates them again.
After you complete that step, run Avast and Malwarebytes again to make sure the system is clean.
Then go to the Windows Update site (link on your start menu) and install the missing patches which enabled your machine to become infected in the first place.
Once the system is clean, repeat step one to download Firefox again, but please do not run the file. If you don't see the option to "Save File", cancel the download, but it should be there. Run the file after you download it to the desktop. -

Are you doing a Software Update or downloading directly from Apple?
If Software Update, instead download the combo 10.6.8 update from here. Use Disk Utility (on your hard drive in application/utilities) to repair permissions, then apply the combo update, and when done, repair permissions again. You'll be at 10.6.8 at that point. -

Time Machine will not let me restore from backups after June, 2013. I can see the files on the external hard drive but Time Machine skips all of them and goes back to June, 2013. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

Working with two cinema display and PN- K321 and I can not preview the output video at 4K by DisplayPort, whereas with premiere and after effects I have no problemsLook, you can build an HD DVD with an SD movie, just as you can build an SD DVD with an HD movie. This is not a bug, it is most likely user error. Apple will not be addressing it.
Just start over, and ensure you are building an SD DVD by bringing up the inspector for the disc (click on the background in the Graphical tab).
Make sure SD DVD is selected:
(If you do the same thing on your ill fated project, you'll see that HD DVD is selected)
Build your DVD and you'll be fine.

P.S. You will need to google HD DVD and Blu-Ray if you want to understand the difference between the formats. The reason that DVDSP included HD DVD was that its format was similar to SD DVD's. Blu-Ray is something else entirely. -
