Why does my 4g and 3gs i phone get my message when its not group message?
why does my 4g and 3gs i phone get my messages,same household but not group message same apple itune account thou.
On each device check the following in the Settings app.
Settings > Messages > Send and Receive
Make sure the proper phone numbers and/or email address is selected on each. Deselect those that you don't want to use an a particular device.

Is the MacBook the computer you have synced with in the past? If not you can use the computer that you have synced with to restore your apps. Are you sure you are using the same Apple ID that you used to purchase the Apps?

I cannot see my Iphone 4 in my device window in the finder anymore. It use to appear so I could copy the camera pictures off of it and transfer them to other folders. Does anyone have and idea how to get it back when you plug it in initially. Thanks
You will want to open iPhoto, go to the iPhoto menu and select Preferences. Under the General tab, next to Connecting camera opens: select iPhoto. Close the preferences and quit iPhoto. Reconnect your iPhone 4. iPhoto should open automatically and offer to import your pictures. Import them and then do what you want with them.

this is my 3rd macbook air and pro that kicks me out my yahoo email all the time and tells me my password is wrong when its not this been going on 2 years 3 different macs sometimes it dont do it for months after a software update
Don't switch email providers. Switch to another email client on your Mac. It is not Yahoo. I have 3 Yahoo accounts and never have any problems getting or sending mail from/to those accounts. But I don't use the built in Mac Mail program. I use Thunderbird. I use thunderbird on both Mac OS X and Windows. Been using it for some time now with no problems getting my Yahoo mail, Google gmail mail or form my work email account.

I've just installed Mavericks on my Macbook Pro, which took forever to install, and everything appears to be fine except for iPhoto. When I try and open iPhoto I get a popup saying its not supported by this OS. Anyone have any ideas??? Help please.

Do you share the same account and Apple ID and computer user account? If so:
Using More than One iDevice on the Same Computer
This applies mainly to couples who are adding another device and do not want their email, messages, etc. being duplicated on both devices. To begin read: How to use multiple iPhone, iPad, or iPod devices with one computer. You need to establish a separate Apple ID and password for whomever will use the new iDevice. See Apple - My Apple ID and Frequently asked questions about Apple ID. The easiest way is to do this on the computer using iTunes: iTunes- How to set up an Apple ID within iTunes.
On the computer create a new user account for the person with the new iDevice. This will be the user account that person will always use. He/She will no longer use the other user account. This way that person will have a separate iTunes Library. Note that once done you cannot "share" apps under a single Apple ID. Each of you must purchase your own apps under your own Apple ID. When you decide to split up like this one of you will need to re-purchase the apps that they want to use.
Start by transferring the new device(s) to a new account along with all your data. Save any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless they are already in the camera roll) by opening your Photos app, tap on Albums icon at the bottom. Now, tap on My Photo Stream album; tap Select; tap on the photos you want to select;, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow) in the lower left corner; then tap Save to Camera Roll.
If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep then you need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself. Later you can copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.
Tap on Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; the person keeping the current account will not be affected,) provide the password to turn off Find My Phone and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Sign in with a different Apple ID to create your new account. Choose Merge to upload your data.
Once you are on separate accounts, you can each go to icloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.

This is very frustrating. Like three months ago my ipod touch, 5th generation, just turns off out of no where. It will be charged and working fine but then the screen goes completely black and I can't turn it on. But then after like a day or so it turns back on and works until it decides to shut off again. And the cycle repeats. I'm scared its going to break for good.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still reoccurs, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Why does FF go to the last viewed website after exiting (when reopened) not homepage?
When I exit a website and close FF. It will go to that website the next time I use FF , not my homepage.
In Tools|Options|General, your setting for "When Firefox starts" is probably set to "Show my windows and tabs from last time."
I actually prefer this option so that even in case of a power shutdown, I can view my tabs just as they were before the computer crashed or was shut down or the session was closed.
I don't even have a home page or home pages anymore, I right-clicked "Pin as App Tab" all my 10 favorite sites such as email and social sites, including wikipedia and a blank Google page for searches.
That and no menu bar or toolbar except a custom one makes a very lean interface. -
Mac and Word say 2GB Flashdrive is full, when its not
All of a sudden, my 2GB Flashdrive is saying its full and Word will not let me save to it and I can't drag files into it. I know I've never put that much on it, nor have I deleted anything off of it.

If it's Fat32/MS-DOS format you'll get a full error if there are too many files at root of the drive.
You'll need to remove/delete at least one item so you can make a folder, then move everything else to that folder. Make more folders for newer things, as Folders have limit's also, just not as limited as the root... top level of the drive. -

Log out of iCloud in the System/iCloud preference pane and disable Photo Stream in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane. Then log back in and re-enable, respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream on your Mac.

Lately when I sync certain albums to my iPhone, the tracks are duplicated one behind the other so that I have to listen to each song twice. Why does this happen and how can it be fixed?
Very strange behavior. Don't entirely give up on the "Manually Added Items" category ... I have seen things magically appear there even after I've checked and seen nothing there. I think things got real quirky when Apple released iCloud ... I don't remember extra copies of purchases lingering on my iPhone once transferred to my library before that. Sure, if I bought an album directly to my iPhone it would stay on there even after I sync to my library, but if I deleted the album from the iPhone it stayed deleted. Now it seems that there are some phantom copies that come and go with no explanation.

If you're re-downloading an album to iTunes and your iPhone, that may perpetuate the problem. What happens if you completely delete every copy of the album, then just download to your iTunes library and then sync the album to your iPhone from your library? A few other things to try:
1- Completely sign out of your Apple account on your iPhone, then re-sync to iTunes, then sign into your account on your iPhone again. Maybe throw in a Reset or at least a power OFF/ON somewhere in the middle.
2- Go to Settings/ General/ Usage, then select Music and when you see All Music, swipe your finger across it and tap the Delete button. Before doing anything else, Reset your iPhone. iCloud storage has nothing to do with remaining memory on the phone - only memory for backups and Photostream. The photo has to first be stored on the phone and copies sent to iCloud. If there is not enough available memory on the phone, the photo can't be taken.
To determine the remaining memory on the phone:
Settings > General > Usage > Storage
The Camera Roll is meant for temporary storage of photos, which should be imported to an app on your computer and deleted from Camera Roll. You can then sync back those photos which you want to keep on the phone.

Make sure the wifi signal is strong enough as the iPad uses twice the normal bandwidth (receiving youtube video and sending it to the Apple TV).
if it isn't strong enough, try to move your wifi router closer to the Apple TV room or get an additional router. -
The Firefox 4.0 on my laptop reverts back to 3.6.16. This has happened several times. Why does this happen and/or how do I prevent it from happening again?
Thanks for the link. I just downgraded to the absolute shtfest that's 4.0. I WAS just fuming about how gawdawful this "new" version is, but after wasting so much time trying to sort thru all the issues caused by this 4.0 downgrade (past updates have always been seamless and troublefree - not so for this shtfest!) I'm flat-out RAGING!!! Fortunately the laptop still has 3.6.xx running - it's the LAST version of Firefox it will EVER see. I switched to Firefox so many years ago to get away from the insanity and frustration of Explorer - if this 4.0 crapshoot is the "future" of Firefox, then the incompetent nimrods responsible for it know where they can ram it. I'm starting the search for a new browser now - so long Firefox, it's been fantastic while it lasted, but you've gone and screwed the pooch, you've ruined a superb browser!
I'll attempt a reload of 3.6.xx on the desk machine, and if successful I'll run it till it drops, or I find a suitable replacement browser, but 4.0 won't be coming back - GOOD RIDDANCE!!!
