Why does my app store support page default to UK

I live in the US and I have tried for hours to download a free app or any app in the app store and first I get the message that my postalcode is incorrect. I have gone into iTunes and made all the appropriate changes to the billing info so it reflects the US and still get the same message but also in my attempt to find the answer to this postalcode mess everytime I change the page to US it defaults back to the UK for support. Actually all the time because the prices are all in UK. I just got this new ipad and I am ready to send it back already. Wasting too much time on stupid stuff. Can someone help.

Make sure your iPad's Region settings are correct by tapping Settings > General > International > Region Format.
Then try following the instructions below.
Changing your iTunes Store country:
Sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you'd like to use. If already signed in to an account, from Settings, choose Store and then View Account.
Tap "Change Country of Region" and follow the on screen process of changing your region. Agree to the terms and conditions for the region if necessary, and then change your billing information.

Could be anything from a chargeback, or your card is junk depending on what it is. Using the word debit card isn't realy descriptive, and can many mean many, many different things.

Are you using a debit card? I read somewhere that debit card are not being accepted by itunes. Go to settings/itunes & app store, tap on the ID there then on view account, log in and check payment details to see if they are correct.

Why does the app store always crash when I go to use the app genius on my ipod touch, it does it everytime. It even does it ocasionaly when I search for apps. Whats going on Apple. Please look into this or tell me how to turn genius off if thats what is causing the crashes, I can't find how to turn it off in the settings.

It sounds like you've installed Mavericks. You can confirm this by clicking on the Apple located at the top left of the screen and choosing "About This Mac" from the menu. You should see a window appear with the text "Version 10.9.1" near the middle.
If it says "Version 10.9.1", then you've installed Mavericks. It still says "Download" in the App Store because you can still download the operating system after installing it. This is useful if you want to download it for a friend, or create a USB boot drive.

I recently had Pages and iPhoto updates listed on the App Store for my computer running 10.6.8. After updating both programs and launching them I received the message "You cant't use this version of the application Pages/iPhoto with this version of Mac OS X. You have Mac OS X 10.6.8. The application requires Mac OS X 10.7.4 or later.
I have a dual boot Mac Pro 2008 with Mountain Lion 10.8 on an ssd and Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on my hard drive with all my data.
Does the App Store even check to see if the OS you are running is supported?

I think that you have confused the MAS with a dual boot system, so you may want to keep that in mind with future updates on your Snow Leo boot volume. The MAS can see apps on all partitions and connected drives. But as you can see from my screenshot, when it is a solo boot of Snow Leo, the MAS is not so easily fooled.

I often cannot connect to the app store with my new iPad, while I can at other times. All the support suggestions suggest that my WiFi connection is the problem. However all the other apps that need the WiFi connection, such as Safari, email and Dropbox work all the time. This seems to indicate that my connection is OK. Why is the app store app unable to connect reliably?

It will happen if you activate a new device in your iTunes account, such as a new iPod, or, from my experience, randomly. Apple stepped up security some months back to cut down on fraudulent purchases.

If you update your billing information, the iTunes Store will place an authorization hold on your payment card account, usually in the amount of 1 USD, to verify your account information. It will be credited back to your account later.

Why does the App Store not work in Genius with VoiceOver switched on

After I downloaded IOS 6 to my iPhone 4 there were a lot of things not working properly, the main things that were a problem was the App Store, to move anything with VoiceOver switched on it was touch-and then tap twice also to move the thing on the page you use three fingers swipe up or down left or right to move it. We now find that to move something in Charts you only need one finger touchon the left to move it.If Some body can come up with thee answer it is the People that work in the Accessability side of things at Apple. So if you know in Ireland why Apple cannot put in the info for Accessability for People who are Blind like me we cannot see what is going on we do not change anyof the settings...

Thank you very much for the reply. That certainly makes sense, as I am sure it is all the Time Machine backups I have that are at the root of the problem. How can I update all those older version Apps deeply embedded within my TM backups, or is the solution to unmount my 2TB drive that I use for TM?
I suppose if Apple could somehow direct the App Store to disregard all those other apps in TM, the problem would be resolved.

Why does my App Store say all my apps are up to date when they're really not?

I'm in the process of updating my iPod touch 5G to iOS7, and before I do so, I would like to update all my apps to their current versions. However, no updates are showing in the App Store; it says they are all up-to-date when they really aren't. I had about 13 apps to be updated. Is this a glitch as a result of the Apple Store being increasingly optimized for iOS7? I haven't even updated to iOS7 yet; I'm still running 6.1.3. I can manually search for some of my apps in the App Store and update them way, but that's too much of an convenience. I'd like them all to be in the Updates section. Can someone help me out with this?

Mine was doing the same thing, open the store and go to updates and the screen will then refresh and tell you Itunes terms of service have changed. You'll have to agree to the new 54 pages of terms to get any updates

While trying to change my Credit Card info: The app store tells me that my payment method information does not match my bank records and to try again or enter a new payment method. Why does iPad App Store have such a cruddy interface?

I really dislike shopping in the iPad store especially in the Top Charts section:
1. Show More button, why? This is dumb, swipe next page please!
2. 10 pages in and I look at an application, I go back to the list and I'm back at the top of the charts page.
This UI is so un-Apple I'm sick every time I use it. I usually google for apps then do a search because this application is so unfriendly.
Please Apple, get someone other than the intern to work on this UI! thanks.

They clearly rushed the ipad app store/itunes interfaces to get the ipad out the door, which is not surprising. That's what I'd do too.
What is surprising is that they haven't even tried fix it since they released the thing six months ago. This is how Apple gets its continuing revenue off of users who aren't buying any new hardware at the moment, not to mention, the more apps and music and stuff that people have bought on iTunes, the less likely they are to switch to a competing device. If I were Apple, I would have had someone working on the bad interface ASAP.
