Why does my battery die so quickly with iOS 7?
Why does my battery die so quickly with iOS 7? Charged to 100%. Unplugged and opened up an hour later. Down to 88%. Why? No apps open.
I think it might also be a bug, my 4S went down to 1% I could actually see it go down from 18% just like a watch. The phone started at about 60% and went down to 1% in about an hour but the useage still stated I had over 6 hours of stand by time, when I plugged in the phone to charge it jumped from 1% to 27%.

Is there a fix to this or do we have to wait for the next update? My iPhone has become a useless 2-hour-running brick in my pocket...
Yes, my battery is draining quickly and recharging slowly. Search is extremely slow, aol email won't work. Kindle app all messed up, lost all on device but have it backed up on amazon. I have slowly been discovering all that is wrong since Sunday's debacle of an update. Apple deleted a post siting improper just because i told the truth. They can delete all they want but this is one screwed up mess and they are desperate.

Why does my battery drain so quickly on iPhone 5s?
Has anyone else found his/her battery draining more quickly than normal. I can begin the day at 100% and within an hour be down to 70% or even less. Is it the iOS 7.1.1 update? The data and wi-fi settings are on, which is the same setup as I had before on the iPhone 5, which ran on iOS 6. That battery lasted as advertised. Anyone with similar problems? Solutions?

Had you bothered to do even the most cursory search of this forum, not only would you have your answer, but you'd also come up with troubleshooting steps.
As you're new to the forums, please be aware that it is common forum courtesy to SEARCH the forum before posting another repetitive thread that serves nothing more than to clutter the forums.

My iphone 4s has started to drain the battery very very quickly only up to 3 hours life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can not have any apps on my phone any clues also my data seems to be eatten up rather quickly every month. Any quick fix??Hi
I am having similar issues. Phone was fine but from Wednesday this week it drains flat in 4 hours. It's on 63% and was 100% 2 hours ago. I'm charging my phone 4-5 times a day. Is that normal? I don't think so.
I've turned notifications, alerts, wifi, 3G, location services all off but no difference made.
Is this a widespread issue for users or is it something apple have instigated or maybe it's an app with a fault? -
Why does the battery die before the power monitor puts the computer to sleep?
Used to be that the power monitor would sleep the computer safely, but lately that doesn't work. I imagine this is something to do with ageing of the battery - is there a way I can recalibrate this?
Thanks!Well, that explains why I thought it wasn't very useful. Let's try this:

Why is my battery dying so quickly since the most recent update???
Ever since I updated my phone yesterday my battery in my iPhone 4 which usually lasts 24 hours without needing a charge only lasts 4 hrs at most. What happened?? How can it be fixed? Very frustrating
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Why iPad mini battery drain so quickly in sleep mode? about 35% in 7 days sleep mode (100% to 65%). Compare with my iPad 2, 7 days in sleep mode, only 2%! (100 - 98%). is it because differences in iOS? iPad mini iOS 6.0.1, iPad 2 iOS 4.3.3. I'm really frustating because of this. thanks for help
What kind of ipad mini / ipad 2 you got?
AFAIK,
1. ipads drain battery with 3g/4g on (regardless on wifi or not) 1% overnight.. so for 7 days .. 65 is about correct.
2. Are your ipads setup to receive remote push notification? (more push = more battery drain.. as the screen lit up)
3. With iOS 6 vs iOS 4 .. there are more stuff running in the background and more toggles.. that could also contribute to battery drain. -
Why does my iphone die fast?
Why does my iphone die fast?
I mean it wont even last a day?Battery life is dependent on what you are using the phone for. First time users and users that have just gotten their phones tend to do a great deal with them. Extensive use of the Internet and other processor intensive tasks can drain the battery quickly. Also being located in a poor cellular coverage area can force the phone into constantly searching for a 3G signal and will drain battery as well. Check the Apple website for a link on battery suggestions or search here for other suggestions on how to minimize battery drainage.

Why is my battery drained so quickly on my 4S?
Why is my battery drained so quickly on my 4S, even though I don't use apps/Internet excessively. It says it should last 6 hours using the Internet.
I had my iPhone use 20% of power an hour before I did the following.
1.) Turn off iAds and diagnostics in location settings:system settings.
2.) Turn off Calender in Notifications
3.) If you have any exchange mail accounts ( I had 3 Gooogle accounts one set for mail and calendar, 2 set for mail only. remember when setting Google server m.google.com or it won't push to the phone.) delete them REBOOT your iPhone then redo them then Reboot one more time.
Result: iPhone batt usage is now 4% an hour. my phone went for 19 hours with moderate (streaming, surfing, recording and viewing movies on camera app) on wifi use before getting to 5% -
Why does my phone die unexpectedly
Why does my phone die unexpectedly?
Phone is 2 years old.
It stops working several times a day by just going black.
It does not cycle off like it does when the battery goes dead or when I turn it off.
Just goes black in the middle of what I'm doing.
When I try to charge it, nothing happens for 20 minutes, then the screen sorta backlights (light blue).
Then it will work again after 2 hours of charging.
Then after using it normally for an hour or so, it dies again.
Everything is updated and backed up.
I have tried restarting it.
Any thoughts?
GinaIf I had to guess, it's either a heat related problem or the battery is failing completely.
I'd say it's time to consider an upgrade as it will probably be less expensive than a repair. -
Why is my battery draining so quickly after updating to Mavericks?
Why is my battery draining so quickly after updating to Mavericks?
1. Check the cycle count of the battery. It may be due for replacement. If the power adapter is connected almost all the time, the battery may need replacing even though the cycle count is not too high.
2. Follow these instructions, or these for OS X 10.9 or later.
3. You can also try resetting the SMC.
4. Make sure your system is up to date in Software Update.
5. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service center. -

That is the point of a beta version.
Software in the beta phase will generally have many more bugs in it than completed software, as well as speed/performance issues. The focus of beta testing is reducing impacts to users, often incorporating usability testing. "
