Why does my battery run out fast?

My battery on my iPhone 4S is always running out fast. I have to charge it multiple times in a day. I delete the running apps, but it still doesnt work.

Maybe because you never put it down.
Maybe because you never allow it to go to sleep.
Maybe because it is constantly checking email.
Possibly because some app is running using location services.
Try a search of the forums for battery issues, you'll find many threads with steps that can be taken to mitigate battery usage.
Depending on what I'm doing... I can easily make it through a full day on a single charge or completely drain the battery in about 6 hrs.

I just got my iPhone Saturday (it's a 5) and I notice my battery runs down quite quickly! I also just added hot spot, but cannot locate it on my phone to enable/disable it.

You can't overcharge the battery. The circuits in the iPod prevent that. For maximum battery life Apple does however recommend almost furlly discharing and then fully charging the batter monthly.

Since updating my phone to 5.0.1, it seems like the battery runs out FAST! Just sitting....Also the zoom doesn't work on the camera. I tried "pinching the screen" but I think with the case on it, that doesn't work, tapping twice doesn't work either. Don't like these changes! Very annoying. So I got my iPod 5 like 5 months ago and for like the first 2 months it was working pretty great. But after that, the battery life just kept on getting worse and worse. To the point where the battery would only last 5 minutes continuisly. But if I turn it off and keep it turned off for like 15 minutes its back at like a 100%. And then I use it and it goes back to 20%. Its like a rollercoaster!!! When i charge my iPod overnight, its doesnt even fully charge in the morning. Download speeds have been slow lately. When it runs out of battery, I charge it and the second I put the plug in it turns on. Before when it ran out and I put the plug in and it turned on, it would be at 100%. Im like ***!!! Now it doesnt even do that. And I seriously dont know what to do. I've reset my ipod like 4 times and it hasen't made any diffrence. I've turned off almost all my notifications. I don't have like 100 apps. And im running ios 7.1. Please, I need someones help because I really want my iPod to work. THX!!!

% battery on an iPod is not accurate. Large fluctuation in % battery with load changes like turning the iPod off and then back on is normal.
The test is how log does a full chargfe last (charge overnight) last/ 4-5 hours of vide seems normal.

Im a first time BB user And really need to know how long should the BB 8520 battery life last- I bought the phone 4 days ago And had to charge it twice since then.
I understand why the battery ran down the first 2 days- used the phone a lot to input data And load pictures, music..... But after the second charge I hardly used the phone( only received text message, phone calls ) I did no browsing, no facebook, no IM, didn't listen to music, didn't take any pictures, didn't receive any emails yet- my BIZ has not yet been activated.
This morning it was 100% And now its 70% - And as I said I only received And sent text messages (SMS) And phone calls
am I being silly And should I just expect that from BB.
And should I switch the phone off at night or just leave it in bed side mode?

First, I´m sory for my bad english.
I live in Brazil and i have a blackberry curve 8520, my problem is the battery.
I try shut off all conections (the wifi, bluetooth, including the moblie phone conection), with the keyboard locked and the phone in stand-by, but the battery dies before the 5 hours (run down very fast).

I have a Pixma MP620. I bought all new cartriges for it a couple of months ago, have printed only B&W word documents, and far fewer than 100 documents, yet my black is empty, and the magenta and cyan are dangerously low. The yellow is at half. I figure I've paid almost $1.00 per B&W page.

The amount of ink that the printer will use varies based on what is being printed, what print quality is selected, and what paper type is being used.
As a suggestion, you can do these things to conserve the amount of ink that is used by the printer:
1. Ensure that the paper type that you have the printer set to print to is set to PLAIN PAPER instead of a photo or other paper type. Using another paper type distributes the ink on the page differently, and in some cases uses more ink.
2. Ensure that the print quality is set to FAST or STANDARD. The higher the print quality setting, the more ink the printer will use.
3. If you find that you print more black and white documents than color documents, selecting the GRAYSCALE PRINTING option in the printer driver will use only the larger black ink tank in the unit to print, as long as PLAIN PAPER is sleected as the paper type, and single-sided printing is being performed. When duplex (double-sided) printing is performed, or if another paper type than plain paper is selected, a combination of the color inks will be used to create the black text on the page, even if the grayscale option is selected.
4. Keep the printer out of direct sun light and away from heating vents, as this can dry out the ink tanks.

Sinds 10 days i ame the happy user of a iPhine5. But the battery life of my iPhone5 is running out fast. 5 times faster than my earlyer iPhone 4.
Wahat can i do abbout it

1. If you don't use LTE, turn it off (Settings app)
2. Let the battery run completely flat and recharge it fully; repeat that a few times
3. Close all running apps and restart the phone.
On the first day I had it, my iPhone got through the battery in about 7 hors. After doing the above, it still shows 34% and I haven't charged it for 2 full days
