Why does my BB select which programs and consoles ...

A few times a week it would appear that my BB activley selects what programs and consoles it allows to connect to the internet. Tonight for example, I had 2 PC's (one was playing Warcraft) and 1 xbox connected to my hub and all 3 were working fine. then just before midnight Warcraft was disconnected from the server and I was kicked off the 360 game server, but both PC's were still allowed to connect to the internet and my 360 was still able to connect to live. this happens a couple times a week and I'm not happy about it at all, as it's usually like this until the following day

I think it unlikely your BB is deciding which to disconnect but in order to help/assist please can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 192.168.0.1) and run btspeedtester (MAC users may have problems) http://speedtester.bt.com and post the results .
are you connected directly to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Do you have any phone extension sockets in your home?
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

- Do you see an AICC splash screen? If yes then could you please let us know where exactly it crashes i.e. while loading which plugin or font?
- Do you have any 3rd party plugins installed? Can you please remove those (do take a backup of them) and see if AI launches fine? This way you would be able to find the plugin creating the problem.
- Did you install any OS or Ai update after which it started showing the problem?
- Please check if you have all the Verdana family fonts installed.
Let me know if any of these work.

Alternative is to use direct SE16 as well...
So there are many solutions to one problem... it all depends on user/customer/client's requirement...

if you right click on the file and select get info, a window will open. Click on the "open with" and the window will expand. There you can select which application you want that document to open with. If you want to open ALL documents of that type with a specific application click the change all button.

thanks a lot for your reply. It actually helped me: I turned on and filled in "5GHz Network name", gave the 5GHz network another name and forced the iMac to connect to this network. It wasn't actually that seamless, because for some reason the 5GHz network appears much later in the site survey than the 2.4GHz one, and when I first tried it and didn't see the 5GHz network in the list, I typed the network name manually. This way I verified that the 5GHz network at least works.
The fact that the iMac connects to the stronger signal is interesting, I would expect kind of a more intelligent behaviour from one Apple device talking to another Apple device, but never mind. Yet one more thing: now I can see that the 5GHz connected iMac has Signal -57 and Noise -96. Doesn't this mean that this network has better signal-to-noise ratio than the 2.4 GHz network (which has -69 and -96 respectivelly)? So why does iMac choose the more noisy network anyway?

there is an app called daisydisk on mac app store which will help you see exactly where the memory is focused and consumed try using that app and see which folders are using more memory

Did you check your user name and password in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap your email account, tap SMTP, then tap the primary server name. Make sure the settings there are correct.

It filles the Whole lasso seleted box with (what it almost looks like) black and white caution lines. then when I go to zoom out, my zoom option starts to mess up where you cant click and move your mouse to zoom in/out with ease but where you have to click to zoom out (many times).

You will need a Mac, with OS X 10.6+ on it, to be able to develop iOS apps.

My friend and I both work in a hospital and we go in out of signal continuously through out the day. Our problem is so bad that by mid afternoon our phone batteries are down to 20% as the phone is continuously searching for signal. Im on EE and their only advice was to reset the network settings, thats fine when you only have to do it once but Im doing it up to 20 times in 1 day. My Safari also has a hiccup. My ISP (comcast) helped me by suggesting I try the same task using a different browser (firefox). I had both installed, and firefox completed the task smoothly with no issues. I was told the problem was on my end and my safari browser was most likely flawed. I cannot find the procedure to uninstall & reinstall the Safari app. My iMac came with 2 discs (os & bundled apps) But the ability to choose Safari only, for this task remains illusive. When you go to System Preferences > Sound what does it say for Output? Have you had headphones plugged in? Sometimes the headphone jack gets stuck thinking it has something plugged in when there isn't anaything there. SMC also has something to do with Sound:

I hade to stop the sync to my iPad to delete the calendars on it.
Then I synced again and only had the new calendars that I had in my ICal.
