Why does my Bose Dock keep making my Ipod Touch cry?

Hey!
Sorry if this has already been answered- but i'm on the quest to find out why my ipod touch is acting like a dodgy old portable CD player.
I've got Bose IPOD dock, which i've had for the past three years and has worked perfectly with my 2nd Gen IPOD, and also more recently with my 2nd gen shuffle (after i forked out for an adapter to dock it)
The touch and bose has been working in oerfect harmony for the last 6 months - not sure sure if the remote works- i think my batteries have gone.
Anyway - more recently touch has been playing ok for around 10 songs then starts to break up, stutter and the music begins to do that thing when your old casstte walkman used to run out of battery (slowed down tempo, voices, sounds like something out of a horror film). The screen also breaks up with lines, flickers and eventually after a good 5 minutes of white flickers, gives up.
Pressing the round button and top black button together brings it back to life eventually, but I'm trying to figure out why the **** it's started playing up. Bose bad or Touch pants?

Certainly sounds like your Touch is not charging whilst docked in the Bose.Do you see the charging symbol whilst it's playing?If it is your Bose fear not.
I had mine 4 years, my 3 year old son snapped the connector off whilst his mums Nano was on it.Sent them a request for service via customer support and they repaired it FREE OF CHARGE,even paying for recorded collection/delivery.Can't recommend them highly enough.On the other hand if it's your Touch........Apple Store visit or Apple warranty repair if it's still valid.

Why does Apogee Jam not work with the Ipod Touch 4G

Hi,
I have a Apogge Jam an it works fine with my Mac Book, but it does not seem to be compatible with my Ipod Touch 4g.
Only the Gibbson L&M app recognize the Apogee Jam, but no other App (Ampkit, ....) :-((
With the IPhone 4 it shall work, can tell me anybody why Apogee Jam is not compatible with the Ipod Touch 4g (
although the Gibson-App works)?
Is there perhaps still other Apps which work with the Ipod Touch and Apogge Jam?

I cannot answer the specifics, but I would guess it is a software issue because Griffin iTalk app will cooperate with the Apogee JAM on an iPod Touch 4g running iOS5. If this app can do it, then one would presume the other apps could be updated to do it also.
From last week up until yesterday, Apogee actually listed the 4G Touch as a compatible device with the JAM.
Apparently there was some confusion about Garageband now supporting iPod Touch and its functionality with JAM.

Why does lightroom 2.7 keep making me import a folder?

Every time I sync my Nikon Transfer folder to import my new pictures that I just loaded from my camera, a folder that I have already imported is included in the import. This folder and its contents are already in there. And lightroom agrees by telling me that it didn't import that folder because it already exsists. Why does lightroom try to import that folder in the first place?

I'm not sure what you mean by that. I thought the folders viewed in Explorer and in Lightroom were one and the same. I think I see what you are getting at though. Perhaps if you were to change the name via Lightroom, the metadata gets changed in a way that causes Lightroom to think it needs to re-import. I don't change the names from the auto-generated sub folder that Nikon Transfer creates - which is the date and time using all numerals.
I think I am just going to copy this sub folder to somewhere else, delete the original, re-import it and see what happens. I will might lose all my raw edits in the process, but I have already delivered the finished jpegs to my client.

Why does Itunes want me to restore my ipod touch

Today my iPod asked me to update from ios 5 to ios 6. I decied that I had time so I agreed. While My iPod was updating I plugged it into my dock to charge. When it was charged the update was complete so I turned it on. It came up with a picture notice saying plug into iTunes
like above. So I plugged it into iTunes and it said that I had to 'RESTORE MY IPOD'. But I have a few paid for apps and important photo's on my iPod and I don't want to have to pay for them again/lose them. Please help me as my iPod is very important and I don't want to have everything restored to factory settings.

Something happened during the update. Connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes. If necessary try;
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

For the last couple of days, every minute, my Mac has been making a two-tone beep. I have absolutely no idea why. There are no jumping icons to tell me that a program wants my attention and I have tried closing all my applications, the problem does not go away.
I live in Nepal and there are no Genius bars to go to, what do I do?

Backing up should not be a problem. Has your computer had a knock recently? I'm just wondering if a RAM module may be slightly unseated. You can google YouTube videos on resetting it, you also may need to to search these forums to reset PRAM and SMC.

Why does my Iphone 4S and my sons Ipod touch (4g) no work with the Sony XDR-DS12iP after IOS upgrades?

According to Sony my apple devices are compatible - and they used to work.... Since IOS 5 Upgrades they no longer play music through the docking systems speakers. They charge, but they refuse to play. Why? What have you done Apple to mess these expensive devices up? My eldest son's Iphone 4 works ok.

My iphone 4s & Ipad are also having the same issue for my phone I did find this solution that seemed to work - only for my phone though:
go to: settings>general>accessibility turn on "assistive touch"
tap on the the new icon that appears on the screen (top left side -the black square w/a white circle inside)
go to "device"
I found my device was muted so I tapped it to unmute - I have had to do this a few times, but it does seem to resolve the immediate issue. Try it - but apple needs to come up with a solution SOON

Everytime i plug in my ipod to my Windowes Vista the itunes program opens right? Then a window pops up and says "your ipod has been detected as in restore mode" so i restore it.....10minutes pass....ipod compleatlly shuts down, restarted and all i see is the apple logo then the screan turns white. So i plug it back yo the computer and itunes wants me to restore my ipod...again. So there i go and restore it again then after 10minutes the same story repeats it self. GRRRRR..... THIS FREAKIN FRUSTRATES ME!!!!!!

Email or call the nearest Apple Store and make an appointment at the genius bar.
If it's software they can fix it and tell you what to do in the future (take notes) if they can't fix it they'll replace it.

the channel is chosen by the WiFi router. If you don't want changes for whatever reason, set it in the router as manual and set the channel you want.

Does it happen anywhere that you use FaceTime or only in your home WiFi network? If it happens with your home network, have you tried power cycling your router? Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
Turn WiFi off and on in the settings. Reset the network settings.

I have a 1st gen Airport Express and use it to stream music from my PC, iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch. My Airport Express is connected to a Teac UD-H01 DAC via an optical cable which is connected to an amp and speakers. I had no problems at all with this set up until I upgraded the Airport Express firmware to 7.6.3. The sound then started to drop out frequently. To cut a long story short after various testing, the problem had to be the Airport Express. I called Apple support but they were not much help and couldn't fix the problem and said they would speak to engineering and phone back. While I was waiting I decided to have another go to find the problem and opened the airport utility and saw that there was an option to downgrade the firmware. At this point I realised that the problems started about the same time that I upgraded the firmware to 7.6.3 but didn't think at the time that Apple would release a firmware that didn't work. Anyway I downgraded to 7.6.1 and hey presto, everything worked again. A couple of days ago I noticed that firmware 7.6.4 was available and thought I'd give it a go, not good - same problem as 7.6.3. I've downgraded to 7.6.1 again and all is well. Hope this helps.
