Why does my browser constantly have to stop playing when watching You Tube?

Why does my browser constantly have to stop playing when I watch You Tube or other videos?
this is driving me nuts. It stops and then starts up again after a few seconds and then stops again and re-starts.
Happens on both Safari and Firefox.
Can anyone help?

Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin... try troubleshooting.
Quit Safari and Firefox if they are open.
Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Use Safari to test. Launch Safari From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
Now try a video.
BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed in Safari > Preferences - Extensions, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari to test.

HI, did you manage to resolve this issue?
I've just bought a mac and installed Office. I imported my emails over from windows as a pst file which worked fine. Now when i recieve an email, outlook shows it has arrived in the inbox but i cant find it anywhere?
I have rebuilt my identity and checked all rules and schedules but cant find anything wrong. I've even deleted the account and reinstalled it but its still the same?

Why is the sound quality on my imac so poor when watching you tube

I have no problems with sound quality on my Imac(snow leopard 10.68) except when I try to watch you tube.
Then the sound is really low,muffled and there seems to be some sort of static in the background.
As far as I know all flash player updates have been installed.
Cant find anything on google.The problem seems to have started over the past 6 months to a year.....there wasnt a problem before.
Can anyone help?

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue with the sound not working correctly from your HP ENVY 17j100 Notebook. The first thing to try is this
1. Right click the Speaker icon in the bottom right corner by your time.
2. Click Playback Devices.
3. Click Speakers.
4. Click properties.
5. Click the advanced tab on the Properties window.
6. Change the Default Format drop-down to the highest quality.
7. Apply the properties.
8. Click OK to close the properties window. Restart your Notebook.
If this does not help try HP support document No Sound from Speakers. It has a number of good troubleshooting steps including using the built-in Windows troubleshooter.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that might need updating. If an update is needed this could cause sound issues.
The Troubleshooting tool in Windows 8 can automatically fix common problems with your computer, such as audio recording. Here is a link to this.
If you still want to disable or uninstall the Beats follow these instructions. To enable or disable Beats Audio, press the fn key in combination with the b key. The Jack does have influence on the Beats Audio which might need to be turned off.
Here is a document on how to uninstall software. The bottom link shows you how to disable software.

Why does my iPod Nano 6th generation stop playing after a specific time only on 2 songs? (but both at different times)

My Songs (Eminem,Just Lose It) stops after 57 second seconds and my other song (Jessie J, Who's laughing Now) stops after 1 minute 23 seconds. I think this might've happened because internet connection was lost while it was loading but I'm not sure how to help it and find a way to make it play fully threw.

Do these same songs play okay in iTunes? Were they originally downloaded from the iTunes Store?

Why does the flash video have much higher contrast when the window is maximized?

When using Mozilla Firefox, any flash videos like those on youtube, when maximized, shows much higher contrast. The video becomes so dark that it is pretty difficult to view it. When zoomed out, everything looks normal.
The work around I ended up using, was to maximize the window using ctrl++ option without using the "fullscreen" button. It is a hassle, but it works. Does anyone know why this happens?
I use Mozilla FF 19.0.2. Btw, this doesn't happen on Chrome or IE.

Why does my music saved on icloud stop playing on my iphone?

I have my playlists saved on icloud, but now when I go to play my music on my iphone, some of my music will not play, or it will start to play and then stop. This just started happening with the new iOS 6 upgrade. Please advise.

Why does it say I have an invalid email when I try to set up sync?

I have an ipod touch. I downloaded the firefox home app onto the device.
I then tried to sync my home computer.
When I try to set up a firefox home account I go to "tools", enter "set up a sync " and then enter "create a new account". A window comes up that "email address". As soon as I start to enter my email an "x" shows up followed by "this is an invalid email". What's up?

Just keep typing until you have entered the entire email address.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

Why does itunes and other media continue to play when i close the lid on my macbook pro 2011???

Hey, I am new to mac and still getting used to it (making the transition from windows), its amazing! Anyhow, I cannot figure out why my itunes and other media like youtube or a film on vlc player continues to play once the lid has been closed. I thought that when i close the lid the macbook should then sleep. It does everytime when there is nothing playing. The little white light on the bottom right hand corner of the book is on but music continues to play.
The sleep option always works. If I press the power button and choose the option sleep it does so etcc.
Is this normal and am I just being stupid or is there a problem??
I bought the laptop from ebay, its a macbook pro late 2011 17inch. I dont have apple support and might have to make a trip into London to the mac store however I was hoping someone can help me...

hey, thanks for the reply. I don't know to be perfectly honest. When I close the lid without any music playing it sleeps fine. How could I check?
So basically I pressed the power button and pressed sleep. The laptop turned off and the little white light turned on no problem. I did the same thing with closing the lid and it went to sleep no problem. (Can you confirm that when the little white light is on it means the laptop is sleeping)??.
I then had itunes playing and pressed the power button and when i pressed sleep the music paused then 6 seconds later it went to sleep. I then had itunes playing and closed the lid and the music kept on playing even though the white light was on.
What do you think jessejarvi?

Why Don't Midi and Audio Tracks Stop Playing When I hit Pause or Stop

I'm using Logic Express 8.
This could be a preference corruption issue, but I'm not sure. When I play on the keyboard or from within the application the notes continue to play even when I hit stop or pause. This doesn't always happen, but I'm wondering what causes it.

are you clicking with the mouse or hitting spacebar? Does is work with the second mouseclick?
The first mouseclick into a non-active window doesn't do anything but brings this window to the front. The second mouseclick then should do the job. The same applies to the spacebar: It only affects the application currently "in front". This is especially true if you have the sample-editor open, and the stop command only stops the sample playing but doesn't stop the arranger.

I have recently upgraded to Firefox 5.0. I am now unable to use full screen mode when watching you tube. i've never had this problem before.

i can't think of anything else to add. i've always been able to use full screen mode in firefox, it still works on vimeo and it still works on NEtflix..

What happens when you try to use full screen mode -- button is ineffective, video doesn't display, etc.?
By the way, Adobe has issued a couple of security updates recently, so you might want to update your Flash plugin.

Found a solution form an other post.
I hade to stop the sync to my iPad to delete the calendars on it.
Then I synced again and only had the new calendars that I had in my ICal.

Thanks Rachel, I have done that and it seemed to have taken care of the problem, though my music videos in "Video" stop playing when my iPad sleeps automatically after two minutes... I am trying to find out how to contact apple about these issues directly...
