Why does My Browser keeps Crashing on some pages?!!! and the number of those pages is increasing!

It started couple of months ago. In the beginning it crashed only on some Youtube channels. Like if I clicked o a video that was on a proper channel like "BBC", the page loaded but in the middle it suddenly crashed with the error "Firefox has encountered a problem and needs to close". Then when I use to restart firefox it would say that it probably happened because of a new tab.
Now I am fed up. The problem has grown from certain youtube channels now to Yahoo mail, some other news websites today even Facebook! It logs me in to Fb but if I open a Fb page in a new tab it crashes. Now I even can't use Fb. I don't know whats wrong. I've tried the Firefox help and got my Crash Signature and now am posting the most recent one along with this Q.
Crash Signature: hang | mozilla::plugins::PPluginInstanceParent::CallPBrowserStreamConstructor(mozilla::plugins::PBrowserStreamParent*, nsCString const&, unsigned int const&, unsigned int const&, mozilla::plugins::PStreamNotifyParent*, nsCString const&, nsCString const...

Start in Safe mode again and then click the option to '''Disable All Add-ons''' followed by "'''Makes Changes and restart'''",
Then it's simply a case of re-enabling them one-by-one until the problem recurs. Then you know it was the previous one which is causeing the problem.
The add-ons manager is accessible by clicking '''Tools '''| '''Add-ons '''| '''Extensions'''. Laborious I know but it's the only way of doing it.

    Crashes @ every 5 minutes.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Go to Settings>Safari and delete Cookies, Data and History
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

  • Why I-Photo would keep Crashing/ Freezing on me and causing me to force quit.

why I-Photo would keep Crashing/ Freezing on me and causing me to force quit.

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • Why does my ipad1 keep closing out of games and Facebook before I want too?

Why does my ipad1 keep closing out of games and Facebook when I am looking at still playing or checking comments on Facebook? This has been happening more and more frequently.

Try reseting the iPad (different from restarting). Hold down on both the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds (ignore the red slider button). Keep holding both buttons until the Apple Logo appears. When you see the Apple logo on the black screen, let go of both buttons. Once it powers back up, try your games and Facebook. This "reset" fixes a lot of weird iPad issues.
    Hope this answers your question!

  • Why does Dreamweaver CC keep crashing!!!

    Dreamweaver CC keeps crashing!!!
Randomly,  Dreamweaver CC pops up error message.
"Adobe Dreamweaver is not responding" with 3 option.
    1. "Check for solution and close program" or 2. "Close program" or 3. "Wait for the progeam to respond". I selected the "Wait" option a couple times. Waited for over 15 minutes and it never recovered. The best option left was to  "Check for solution and close program". The program closed and I lost all my unsaved work. This happens all the time. At least 2-3 times in a 6 hour session. About 6 pages open and doing nowing out of the ordinary. Long time Dreamweaver user.. Nothing much else running in the background. 6 month old laptop and it used to happen on my last laptop.
I'm only working with standard html files with arial font, not {}, not Fluid Grid, and no media queries is css.
Been working on this for over 6 months. Thought CC would get it fixed. The msvcr100.dll is the original version. Double checked. Been deleting the DW cache regularly..

This may be yet another “Broken Brand”!
I feel you Alaska !!!  I feel the same way. I think this Adobe is over it’s head in understanding this cloud technology. They jumped into it making all sorts of fallen promises  just wanting our $49 per month.
You can’t believe how  much work I have put into trying to help them fix these  problems
I’m now afraid to make any changes to my sites using Dreamweaver in fear of another malfunction resulting in messing up an entire site. Last time it crashed I had to reattach the template to  200 pages - one by one.
I don't understand what the people at adobe are thinking.
I finally reached out to Abobe support in this post: http://forums.adobe.com/message/6239493
In this instance, I spent over 6 hour following adobe specific technical directions on how to capture all the log file they suggested I configure to capture the crashing problem I am continually experiencing. Afterwards I forward an Adobe technician  the log file with to response or fix.
Then even worst, I spend more time capturing more logs (because it is now crashing daily) and fully outlining my PC environment and configuration, and sending more log files only to have my emails be rejected.
Now I'm fearing Abode will  just cancel my account for posting these complaints.
But what's a developer to do. I have over 20 sites dependent on this software.
I'm definitely looking at solutions that are less dependent on DW functioning correctly.
Drupal is currently looking like a good solution.
I manage over 20 sites for local customers and it would be a tremendous amount of work but living with DW always crashing is unacceptable. And who knows if the next versions of DW will not experience the same problems. I think they need to spend a few extra dollars and hire some better software engineers. I don't think they quite know what they are doing with this new cloud services environment.
I thinks Google’s top new secret "Cloud Website Development Kit" might end up being a better solution. I think it's going  to be married to Google Webmaster Tools. That's the direction and reason for all the recent rapid Webmaster Tools improvement in the web performance tools site.
Google.. Gota love them.. They seem to always get it right ad fully understand the future of the cloud.
Bottom line: These design tools like DW and PS should be out of the box dependable. Continual crashes with 100’s of complaints is totally unacceptable.

  • What happened to the youtube app and why does my ipod keep crashing?

I updated my ipod touch 4g to iOS 6.0 and what happened to the youtube app? And why does my ipod keep on crashing when ever I go to the app store? Now i can never buy anything!!! or watch youtube videos and I'm always on youtube!!!!!!!!

As has been very well publicized in the news and all over the internet and forums, youtube is not part of ios 6.  Google it.
You can get the app from the app store if you like.
Have you tried the basics from the manual to stop the crashing?
    Restart, reset, restore.

  • Pop-up allows first pop-up page and the second pop-up page (linked from the first one) but does not open the data in the second pop-up page.

I want to print my online bank statement.
    Please see screen shots below.
The webpage has a link that says:
    VIEW STATEMENT
Click the link and a pop-up opens that warns you about downloading using a public-access computer or sharing a computer with others.
If you want to continue click OKAY.
When you click this link another pop-up appears (a pop-up within a pop-up)
    but it is blank.
When the process used to work, the statement would appear.
    MacBook running OS X 10.6.8
When I tried it with Safari everything worked as it should so the problem is not with the bank.
I went back to Firefox (my preferred browser) and did the troubleshooting RESET.
    Nothing changed.
In the Tools menu - Page Info - Permission - Open Pop-up Windows is set @ Default - Allow
In Preference - Content - Block pop-up windows is unchecked
or when it is checked the website is listed in the Allowed column.
It is the correct url because when I clicked the yellow options bar to Allow it, FireFox automatically chose it.
I also tried adding the extended url as it appears on the web page which has the first pop-up link.
    Firefox would not accept it.

    Screenshots:
    # Part of bank's webpage with the link to the first pop-up
    # The first pop-up page with link to the statement pop-up page.
    # The second pop-up page - blank where there should be the statement. The page appears but the data doesn't.

  • Why does Shock Wave keep crashing? Only crashes on Firefox browser.

Every time I use Firefox browser, I get the error message: "Shockwave Flash is either busy or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the plug in now, or wait to see if the plug in will complete." I also get another one saying that the "Silverlight script is still running" and then I have to wait several minutes before I can view the page. I have uninstalled Silverlight Flash and reinstalled, yet I keep getting either that message or the "script is still running" one ONLY on Firefox. It freezes my web page screen for several minutes. When I use Safari, this never happens. Plug-ins work just fine. It appears that without Silverlight or Shockwave Flash that I cannot watch any videos. I tried YouTube and couldn't open any videos without Silverlight.
Please don't suggest resetting Firefox because I've already done that. I still cannot open Yahoo.com home page because I keep getting an error message and I have to go around it by opening news.yahoo.com instead. I have Windows 7 on an Acer laptop.
Meanwhile I have reset my default browser to Safari, even though I don't have an Apple computer. It works better than Firefox. Are you planning on fixing the rampant plug-in problem with Firefox?

I have the exact same problem on my ipad mini. It says 'google earth is running low on memory' and crashes.

When are you seeing these messages? When Safari is running? If so, some web site is trying to perform a Java attack.
There is virtually no reason to have Java on in your web browser. Open Safari's preferences and turn off the check box for Java. Leave JavaScript on.

  • Why does Photoshop CS4 keep crashing?! (Mac OS)

I use Photoshop often, daily even. I upgraded to CS4 at the beginning of this year and have a CONSTANT and very IRRITATING problem. It keeps crashing, for no apparent reason. It will crash during all kinds of "tasks". Saving, opening an image from RAW, using the liquify tool, using the clone tool, running an action and any number of others tasks cause a crash in Photoshop CS4.
I work relatively fast, as I use Photoshop on a daily basis. This is how it will happen...
I'll be working on an image and I "command S" to save. There will be a slight delay of about 2-4 seconds and then Photoshop will crash and I will get a pop-up screen to submit a crash report. I have submitted literally hundreds, if not thousands of these. Then, Photoshop sits idle for a few minutes as if it is locked up, unable to "Relaunch". So, I then usually have to "Force Quit" Photoshop, yet, it will not immediatly quit. It takes another couple of minutes to do so before I am able to begin working again. This process happens, on average, a couple of times per hour, if not more.
Luckily, I have "trained" myself to save after almost ever thing I do. But, I inevitable loose something as it happens just after a "task" or during a "save". (It happens during a save frequently.) Plus, I'm loosing valuable time waiting on it to Relaunch, and figuring out where I'm at on the image all over again.
Needless to say, I'm beyond frustrated, to say the least.
There is something else that doesn't make sense. My business partner, who also has a new IMac (not the VERY newest model that just came out but the one just prior to that...It was purchased in December 08 as well) and also runs CS4 does not have this crashing problem! At all! Not once.
Here's the difference in our systems...He purchased the 24" model, while I purchased the 20". And, this is where I actually think the problem may lie...I am running dual monitors, while he does not.
I've tried to trouble-shoot this problem, since he does not have the problem, while I do. I did "About this Mac" on both our machines to see if there were any obvious differences, besides running dual monitors. What I found under HARDWARD were only two minor differences. His processor speed is 2.8 while mine is 2.66 GHz. and the SMC Version of his machine is 1.3f1, while mine is 1.29f1. There were no differences in the GRAPHICS/DISPLAYS section either, beyond my having a second display.
Both his and my graphics/displays are as follows:
    ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro:
Chipset Model:    ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro
      Type:    Display
      Bus:    PCIe
      PCIe Lane Width:    x16
      VRAM (Total):    256 MB
      Vendor:    ATI (0x1002)

      Core Image:    Hardware Accelerated
      Main Display:    Yes
      Mirror:    Off
      Online:    Yes
      Quartz Extreme:    Supported
      Built-In:    Yes
Below is the information regarding my second display.
    LaCie 324:

      Core Image:    Hardware Accelerated

      Mirror:    Off
      Online:    Yes
      Quartz Extreme:    Supported
      Rotation:    Supported
      Television:    Yes
As you can see, my second display is a Lacie 324. It is rather new, I purchased it in November or December 08 as well as my IMac. I have the Lacie set as my main display.
When I have Googled this Photoshop CS4 crash problem, I have come across some mention of the GPU Settings and Enable OpenGL Drawing. I have to admit, I really don't understand this. Should OpenGL Drawing be on or off??? I turned OpenGL Drawing off some time ago because I had a problem with calibrating my Lacie monitor. My monitor was showing images skewed toward red, while my prints were coming out with less red. I Googled this problem (at the time I didn't think this was related to the crashing issue) and someone said they were having trouble calibrating their monitor as well and managed to "fix" that by turning "Enable OpenGL Drawing" off. I did that and it did indeed fix the problem with getting my Lacie monitor calibrated. FYI, my business partner also turned off the Enable OpenGL Drawing feature and...again...he has NOT had the problem with Photoshop CS4 crashing. So, since he is not having the problem and I am, I would assume the "Enable OpenGL Drawing" issue that is mentioned on this site, is not the crashing problem, though I could be wrong.
So, I go back to having a second monitor as being the most-likely candidate for causing the Photoshop crashes. I am wondering if the Lacie display is "drawing" the graphics at the speed that differs, or is incompatable, with Photoshop CS4??? This is just a guess from someone who is not all that technically savy. But, again, I'm not sure. I have also looked on the Lacie website for any updates for the Lacie 324. There are none, as far as I can tell.
I am curious if others with and without dual monitors are having these crashes. If so, have you found any resolution? I'm desperate for help so if anyone can shed any light on this issue, it would be most appreciated.
Below, I will put some specs about my machine, in case that is helpful.
    Hardware Overview:
      Model Name:    iMac
      Model Identifier:    iMac8,1
Processor Name:    Intel Core 2 Duo

      Bus Speed:    1.07 GHz
      Boot ROM Version:    IM81.00C1.B00
      SMC Version:    1.29f1
I have the 11.0.1 version of Photoshop CS4.
PLEASE help if you can. Thanks so much!

  • Why Does adobe Acrobat keep crashing?

Acrobat keeps crashing when trying to print documents and the only fix that I have found so far is to uninstall and reinstall the program.  Does anyone know why this keeps happening?

X Pro is the version that I am using.  We have 64 bit windows as well.  I updated the installation after each time I have to reinstall it but it still from time to time crashes.  Then it will not allow me to reopen any PDF documents.

  • Why does my Mac keep crashing/freezing?

I've tried to troubleshoot this before. I've backed everything up on Timemachine, did an Erase/Install. Purchased MacKeeper. I restarted computer pressing shift key, then restarted computer to clear out any accumulated junk files. I've been running Virus Barrier for more than a year, and all filters are up to date.
But it's getting WORSE! It used to happen once a day...today it happened 3 times. I thought it might be related to Chrome, but this morning, all I had open was Mail...
    This is what happens:
In whatever application I'm in, usually Chrome, after some action, sometimes just loading page, the rainbow time spinning wheel appears. Spotify stops playing music (though there is not window warning that I've gone offline or anything like that); I wait, wheel keeps going, I clicked on other open applications, they appear fine, go back to application with spinning wheel. I open force quit; I force quit application, it appears to quit, but then everything becomes unresponsive. Eventually I try to force quit all other applications, they appear to close, but don't really, then Finder becomes unresponsive, I try to Relaunch Finder, until I only can stare at empty desktop. The only thing that works is pressing button at back of computer to force it to shut down and restart.
From past personal experience both at work and at home (am a designer, so always use Macs)...a computer that keeps crashing this way, eventually becomes damaged and has to be brought to store for repairs. This computer is only 2yrs old, and problems worsened after its second birthday (April 21st)

  • Why does my Computer keep crashing

Ok...New to this whole video editing deal. Thought it would be a cool thing to get Adobe Premiere 7.0 and use it to create some video movies of the family to post on facebook or whereever. Not there at all. I want to know if someone can give me a clue as to why my system automatically restarts when I open or try to open the Premiere program. I have an HP Pavilian with a Pentium D 3.00ghz processor w/ 1.5 GB of RAM.
I installed the software fine and restarted the computer after the installation. The Norton Anti Virus was disabled. I click the icon to open the program and it runs for about 30 seconds and then BAM, my computer shuts down and restarts automatically.
My guess is the program is too large and when my system runs out of memory it quits and goes to sleep hence the restart. But if that is not it, can somebody help my work around this issue. Do I need more RAM? A larger processor? A new computer? Not sure of what the next step is here. I have been reading some post and people talk about this other program that is a rival to PE called Vegas. I am interested but I am not sure at this point if I will have the same issues. What do you think? I am really interested to know.....

    Brownrod,
No, though Task Manager will tell you what is going on at the moment. It is good for monitoring the Processes and Performance of the computer, in real time.
In C:\Windows\System32\ you will find Event Viewer (eventvwr.exe, in XP-Pro). It is a logging application, that keeps tabs on the system, and logs all events, whether they are errors, or not. It is a tabbed viewer, and the two most important tabs are System and Applications. I can't recall what one needs to do to access it from within Windows, because when I get a new computer, one of the first things that I do is place a shortcut to it on my Desktop. Then, I can access it with just a Dbl-click. I do the same for Control Panel.
Each time that you bootup, start/end a program, and shut down, it logs events. Most of these events will have a little "bubble" icon with an "i" in it. The ones that you want to study will be yellow triangles with a "!," and red circles with an "X." You'll get messages like this:
"Hanging application Photoshop.exe, version 9.0.2.0, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."
In that case, you also have a link to MS's Knowledgebase. Those can usually provide some clue, as to what went wrong, though not always. Still, they are better than nothing. Unfortunately, some of the messages are so cryptic that even a senior coder for MS cannot tell you what happened. However, you might get lucky and find some good, useful info.
Then, there is always "The Case of the Unexplained,"

    Good luck,
    Hunt

That panic was not caused by third-party software. If the problem is recurrent, the possibilities are:
A stale or corrupt kernel cache
    A damaged OS X installation
A fault in a peripheral device, if any
    Corrupt non-volatile memory (NVRAM)
An internal hardware fault (including incompatible memory)
An obscure bug in OS X
You may already have ruled out some of these.
Rule out #1 by starting up in safe mode and then restarting as usual. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
You can rule out #2 and #3 by reinstalling the OS and testing with non-essential peripherals disconnected and aftermarket expansion cards removed, if applicable. Sometimes a clean reinstallation may solve a problem that isn't solved by reinstalling in place.
Corrupt NVRAM, which rarely causes panics, can be ruled out by resetting it.
If your model has user-replaceable memory, and you've upgraded the memory modules, reinstall the original memory and see whether there's any improvement. Be careful not to touch the gold contacts. Clean them with a mild solvent such as rubbing alcohol. Aftermarket memory must exactly match the technical specifications of the machine.
Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test, though generally unreliable, will sometimes detect a fault. A negative test can't be depended on. Run the extended version of the test, if applicable.
In the category of obscure bugs, reports suggest that FileVault may trigger kernel traps under some unknown conditions. Most, though not all, of these reports seem to involve starting up from an aftermarket SSD. If those conditions apply to you, try deactivating FileVault.
Even if FileVault is not active, an aftermarket SSD may be the cause of kernel panics. Check the manufacturer's website for a firmware update.
Connecting more than one display is another reported trigger for OS X bugs.
If the system is not fully up to date, running Software Update might get you a bug fix.
In rare cases, a malformed network packet from a defective router or other network device can cause panics. Such packets could also be sent deliberately by a skillful attacker. This possibility is something to consider if you run a public server that might be the target of such an attack.
Otherwise, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider to have the machine tested. You may have to leave it there for several days. There isn't much point in doing this unless you can reproduce the panic, or if you can't, it happens often enough that it's likely to be repeated at the store. Otherwise you may be told that nothing is wrong.
Print the first page of the panic report and bring it with you.

  • Why does my browser keep on opening things in mobile version and not desktop version?

    hi everyone,
i just picked up my imac today and i'm trying to get used to it. here's one of many questions i have:
why do certain pages like facebook and hotmail sign in always open up in the mobile version and not desk top? how can i change the settings so that things will open only in the desk top version?
i went into develop and clicked on the latest safari but that didn't do anything.
it's annoying changing it every time i go into those sites.
any help would be much appreciated.
    thanks,
    mary

Read this whole message before doing anything.
Back up all data if you haven’t already done so. Before proceeding, you must be sure you can restore your system to the state it’s in now.
Quit Safari if it’s running. Then select  ▹ Force Quit... from the menu bar. A small window will open with a list of running applications. Safari may appear in that list, even though you quit it. If so, select it and press return. Close the window.
    Step 1
In the Finder, press the key combination shift-command-A to open the Applications folder. Select the Safari icon in that folder and press the key combination command-I to open the Info window. There’s a checkbox in the Info window labeled Open in 32-bit mode. Uncheck it, if checked. Close the Info window and the Applications folder.
Hold down the option key and select Go ▹ Library from the Finder menu bar. Delete the following items from the Library folder (some may not exist):
    Caches/com.apple.Safari
    Caches/com.apple.WebKit.PluginProcess
    Caches/Metadata/Safari
    Preferences/com.apple.WebKit.PluginHost.plist
    Preferences/com.apple.WebKit.PluginProcess.plist
    Saved Application State/com.apple.Safari.savedState
Leave the Library folder open. Try Safari again. If it works now, stop here. Close the Library folder.
    Step 2
If you still have problems, quit Safari again.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
    rm -fr $TMPDIR../C/com.apple.Safari
Quit Terminal. Launch Safari and test.
    Step 3
If Safari still doesn’t work right, quit, go back to the Finder and move the following items from the open Library folder to the Desktop (some may not exist):
    Cookies/Cookies.binarycookies
    Preferences/com.apple.Safari.LSSharedFileList.plist
    Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
    Preferences/com.apple.Safari.RSS.plist
    Preferences/com.apple.WebFoundation.plist
    PubSub/Database
    Safari
(Note: you are not moving the Safari application. You’re moving a folder named “Safari.”)
Try again. This time Safari should perform normally, but your settings and bookmarks will be lost.
If the issue is still not resolved, quit Safari again and put all the items you moved to the Desktop back where they were, overwriting the newer ones that will have been created in their place. You don’t need to replace the files you deleted in step 1. Stop here and post again.
If Safari is now working normally (apart from the lost settings), look inside the “Safari” folder on the Desktop for a file named “Bookmarks.plist”. Select File ▹ Import Bookmarks from the Safari menu bar. Import from that file. Recreate the rest of your Safari settings. You can then delete the items you moved to the Desktop.
Note: This step will remove your Safari Extensions, if any, and their settings. If you choose to restore them, do so one at a time, testing after each step to make sure you haven’t restored the problem.
If you don’t like the results of step 3, you can undo it completely by quitting Safari and restoring the items you moved or deleted in that step from your backup, overwriting any that were created in their place.
