Why does my camera not work for Skype?

I downloaded Skype from the app store but for some reason my camera does not turn on. I have seen several responses on other various forums. I guess part of my problem is also the fact that I am not as technically sound as others and I get lost in the verbage being used. I tune out when the dialogue response gets too long.

in sted of using the Skype app from the app store i would do it munualy from the website. befor using the camera though on some apps or websites it should/might ask you to use the camera you will need to enter the password (if you have on) and click yes its a small box looks like something from windows. We have a HD webcam pointed at a pooltable in our local poolbar. We use FMLE to stream to Dacast. To finish the project we want to automate the process: only stream between 17.00 and 01.00 hours every day.
It looks like FMLEcmd + batch/cmd files + scheduled tasks can make this possible.
I am diving into FMLEcmd. Starting up works fine. But stopping gives me troubles. I use the command: fmlecmd /s rtmp://live-ams.dacast.com/201346/21653+xxxx
Reply is: "Stop command send to FMLE."
Then i do fmlecmd /s and it says " All running FMLE sessions are: rtmp://live-ams.dacast.com/201346/21653+xxxx".
Questions:
1. What am i doing wrong here?
2. When starting a session through cmd, will it be visible when you open FMLE Gui?
Plan is to make two batchfiles: One to start FMLE streaming on a daily basis at 17.00 hours. And one to stop FMLE streaming at 01.00 in the morning. If somebody already has similar batchfiles ready for me to use, please let me know! If somebody has another solution for the above, also let me know!
Already implemented the reconnect interval and times in the XML file... that was needed...
Maybe stupid question: When i do the command "FMLEcmd", encoding starts, text displays "streaming to server", and i see bitrates moving. Is the only option then to close the command window? Because i see no cursor anymore?

ADDON: I just restarted my computer to stop the streaming session. But doing fmlecmd /s still says:

It doesn't give me an error message, it simply does not search. I type in my search term and it appears to search the document but then a dialogue box appears which says that my search term has not been found. This even happens when I am looking at a page in which my search term is clearly visible!
I am shutting down now until the morning as I have been working almost 12 hours.

Why does installation cd not work for new hard drive for 2009 MacBook pro?

my hard drive died in my 2009 MacBook pro so I bought a 1tb ssd drive and had the store physically install the drive only. I arrived home and stuck in the original installation disc and pressed and held the c key after the chime. Nothing happened. after a minute or so the screen turned black and rebooted up again with the chime. It would continue to reboot whether I pressed the c key or not. when i pressed the d key it would say:
"Apple hardware test does not support this machine"
why why isn't this working like it is supposed to?

Have you tried using the Startup Manager (holding down the option key) whilst booting? If everything works as it should, you should be given the option to choose the DVD to boot. Holding down the 'D' key should load the Apple Hardware Test.

when I open camera it doesn't work, when I open it it's just a black screen and nothing's working, it is the same with apps that include taking photos just black screen.

And did you get past the 'reset' part of the restart?
{My camera isn't very helpful even when it's working.
I set it out with a snow shovel this AM and by noon
it hadn't even put a dent in the new layers outside...}

Hi,
I have MacBook Pro (Mid 2012). I have updated it to MAC OS Maverics.
Since then camera is not working for Skype (Version 6.8.0.351)- only at the start it works for few seconds and then it freezes.
It was working fine with Mac OS Lion.
Please suggest some wayout from this.

IE uses a different version of Flash than other browsers use. You need to install the Plugin version of Flash for Firefox.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here:

Save it to your Desktop. 
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit 
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed,

BTW- Your profile shows you have iOS 6.1.4 installed. The max iOS for an iPad is 6.1.3. iOS 6.1.4 is for iPhones only.

Both you and the recipient have to have active data connections, and both devices have to have iOS 5 or higher to be able to use iMessage. Also, they both have to have iMessage activated. My speakers or headphones are not working for Skype desktop but work fine for any music or videos or other programms. Any help to resolve it? in Tools>Options>Audio Settings> headphones does not show up. Everything was working fine but it just happend a day before., i havent installed any program that could make problem.

This is very strange because, as you are saying this happened without any change to any software on your computer. I suggest the following:
1. To help the team analyze the issue, provide logs as described in this link under Skype for Windows Desktop and attach it to your post.
2. As an interim solution you can try using a virtual audio device that will be a middle man between skype and your physical audio device.

I purchased the CS5 Adobe Production Premium. I have been working in Premiere and I have been learning about how to use Dynamic Link. I want to be able to alter clips in After Effects and bring them back and forth into Premiere. When I go to File/ Adobe Dynamic Link/New After Effect Composition, I get this message:

Since I own production premium, I do not know why I am getting this message. I have reinstalled the CS5 Production Premium Software twice and it still gives me the same message. What can I do to get Dynamic Link Working.
