After updating to iso 5.1.1 my car audio system no longer recognizes audio files when I connect via USB. My Acura audio system used to allow me to connect via USB and control music with car system controls. Now after update the audio system displays 'unsupported audio files'
How do I fix this error. .????

Have you tried resetting the modem? Power it down and let it rest a moment, then power it back up again.
Also, some ISPs require physically detaching their cable from the modem for it to be fully reset. Literally unscrew it from the modem. Try that, in conjunction with powering it down.
Don't do anything with your Extreme, other than powering it down too, in the event the modem reset does not help. Reconfiguring it may be necessary but this is not justified quite yet.

Look, you can build an HD DVD with an SD movie, just as you can build an SD DVD with an HD movie. This is not a bug, it is most likely user error. Apple will not be addressing it.
Just start over, and ensure you are building an SD DVD by bringing up the inspector for the disc (click on the background in the Graphical tab).
Make sure SD DVD is selected:
(If you do the same thing on your ill fated project, you'll see that HD DVD is selected)
Build your DVD and you'll be fine.

P.S. You will need to google HD DVD and Blu-Ray if you want to understand the difference between the formats. The reason that DVDSP included HD DVD was that its format was similar to SD DVD's. Blu-Ray is something else entirely.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, when your MacBook Pro wakes from sleep, the internal keyboard and/or trackpad are slow to respond. However, in your comments, you mention a bluetooth keyboard finder launches.
Since your internal keyboard and trackpad are not bluetooth devices, I think this may be the issue. In the resource below, take a look at the section I have highlighted, and see if deselecting the option to allow Bluetooth devices to wake the computer" resolves your issue.

Check your system’s Bluetooth settings:
Bluetooth devices can wake your Mac. If you don’t want a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse to be able to wake the Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Bluetooth.
Click Advanced, then deselect “Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer.”
If that option is already deselected, try turning your Bluetooth off if you are not working with a wireless keyboard and mouse.

I have the exact same problem and needless to say, I am really pissed off!!!
Such technology should not have compatibility problems, either your reader can download ebooks or else it should not be sold as an ebook reader.
I've had to download a DRM removal tool in order to read ebooks that I PAID FOR on a regular e-reader that I REGULARLY BOUGHT!!!
The problem is, not all e-books can get unlocked so I already have 4 books I can't read except on my PC.

Thanks for the quick reply, and sorry for the late response. I'm trying to do this for my mum on her computer, but I don't live with her, so it can be hard for me to find the spare time to get to her place.
Okay, let me start by listing a few things in dot points:
- Adobe Digital Editions does not recognise the device. There doesn't even appear to be any menu options for a "device" anywhere in the program.
- When I connect the device to the computer, the screen lights up and the word "USB" appears on it, so it is definitely noting the PC connection. However, no device appears in "My Computer" (running Windows XP). Tried using "Add Devices", but it couldn't find anything.
- Yellowstone, the brand, appears to be a product of JB Hifi, the store she purchased it from, and has no website or online software/drivers.
- I downloaded Calibre as you said. It seems a lot cheaper, but has easier to read options. However, it still won't let me load to my device (the text is greyed-out). I assume this means the program is not recognising the device either.
Not sure what to do now, kinda run out of ideas. Any more help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for answering ... Long answer sorry ... recently upgraded from XP to Windows 7. With XP I could create PDFs with/for any document I created ... I think the XP App was Acrobate Complete as well as I could print directly to a PDF file. In any case, I was always able to creat PDFs. Since upgrading to Windows 7, I lost my ability to create PDF files by conversion or by printing directly to PDF format. Therefore, I purchased the Adobe CreatePDF application from Adobe for about $100. However all Adobe CreatePDF files have a different screen icon and my Acrobate XI supplied with my new Windows 7 intsall does nor recognize the Adobe CreatePDF created files. I am guessing but I suspect the Adobe CreatePDF app is creating Postscript print files and not Windows compatible print files. I would like to tell Adobe about this Bug or failure, but it seems I am unable to contact Adobe directly and talk/chat with a human.

Not sure.. but I strongly recommend you start over.
Use all names that comply with new Apple standard protocol .. ie SMB.. which means the names recommended in the airport utility are WRONG.. do not use them.
That is especially important for the printer.
SHORT.. names should be 10characters or less.. if you can manage it.. 20 at most.
NO SPACES..
PURE ALPHANUMERIC... no apostrophe, no other illegal characters.
So call the TC .. TCgenx (x I replace with the actual generation of the product).
Wireless name.. TCwifi
Use only wireless passwords that also comply.. only a bit longer is ok.. 10-20 characters is usually plenty.. no spaces.. pure alphanumeric.
No luck.. do some more.
Set wireless names for the two bands to different values.. eg.. TC24ghz and TC5ghz
Leave off the security..
Test 2.4ghz band at channels 11, 6, 1
Once it works put the security back on.

This problem just came up today. Everytime I attach the usb charging cord into my iphone it does not vibrate like it normally would. It also does not show the lightning symbol by the battery bar and does not show that it is charging. This problem happened to my previous iphone but it had water damage. This is not the case for this phone because i recently got this phone about a week ago and it hasnt been around any water or moisture. I also tried multiple cords thinking it was that was the cause of the problem but it turned out it wasnt. This problem is really annoying and i just want my phone to charge so I can continue using it. If anyone knows anything I can do to fix this, it would be much appreciated.

Are the cables Apple cables? Is the wall charger the Apple Charger? If the answer to those is yes, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar at Apple to get the device checked.

Why does my MacPro (2008) not recognize my iPod Classic?

Just today, I plugged in my iPod Classic (bought recently; 160 GB), and it doesn't charge or show up in iTunes. Its screen turns on though.
I have OS X 10.8.5, and the latest iTunes.
I can plug it into my wife's iMac (2011) using the same cable and it seems to work fine.
So I reset the SMC, and the PRAM. I reinstalled iTunes twice, and restarted the mac. The only thing that changed was immediately after resetting the SMC, plugging in the iPod had it show up as connected on its screen for a few seconds, then it said "OK to disconnect" and now doesn't respond any more. I also tried plugging it into the other USB ports, including the ones on the Apple Keyboard.
Any thoughts on this? My other USB devices work fine.

Looks like AppleMobileDeviceHelper is not starting. I cannot figure out how to reinstall this. The Apple page about it is for 10.6 and before. If I try to delete iTunes.app, it says I can't since it's required by OS X.

I recently upgraded to the OS X Yosemite on my MacBook Pro 13" and I love this new operating system. It's so sleek!
However, I noticed that when I connected my Kindle Fire HD through USB connection to my Mac, my Kindle wasn't recognised.
Andriod File Transfer did recognise the Kindle but I cannot transfer any files. Therefore, it is only offering information what I currently have on my Kindle.
I assume this a problem with OS X Yosemite and can anyone offer me any help on this matter?

OK, apologies, the answer is simple, but easily forgotten because it's so long since I had to do this! Just go to https://www.android.com/filetransfer/ and download and run the Android File Transfer utility and your Kindle will appear on your desktop immediately, assuming you are using a suitable cable.
I think this is an issue only because you have to do it once-only, and then everything runs smoothly, which means that you have long enough to forget it between whenever you update your OS.
Don't know about the rest of you, but I'd rather get on with using my Mac than fiddle with my OS, so this was an unexpected hurdle. Hope this helps somebody other than me!

I did a software update yesterday (EFI Firmware Update, Bluetooth Firmware Update, Java for Mac OSX 10.5 Update 4, iPhoto Update, Safari, iTunes, HP Printers Drivers Update) and now, suddenly, my connection fails. The computer can't recognise my wireless network, while other computers in the house do. I dont know if it;s related to keychains, i've unlocked them, but nothing works. Help? Thank you.

FIXED!
The IP address of the printer had changed. I printed a new Configuration Page from the printer, which contains the IP address. I then entered the new IP address into my iMac. The iMac was then able to 'see' the printer and I can now print.
The HP forums solved this for me.

I think you should use -s switch, not -S.
From man makepkg:
-s, --syncdeps
Install missing dependencies using pacman. When build-time or
run-time dependencies are not found, pacman will try to resolve
them. If successful, the missing packages will be downloaded and
installed.
-S, --source
Do not actually build the package, but build a source-only tarball
that does not include sources that can be fetched via a download
URL. This is useful for passing a single tarball to another program
such as a chroot, remote builder, or a tarball upload. Because
integrity checks are verified, all source files of the package need
to be present or downloadable.
