Why does my CC update box say version 6.05 is up to date?

I thought the CC update box (on the desktop) showed if your CC programs were completely up to date. My adobe premiere version is CC 6.0.5. But 7.0 has been out for months. Is there a lag time on updates done through the CC updater? Confused.

There are more than 250 extra features in CC as comapred to CS6 like support for closed captioning, support for open CL, Audio sync option in Multicam sequences, Support for Lumetri looks etc.
You can always open your CS6 Project files in CC & it should not be a problem at all. If you have any third party plugin in CS6 that is not there in CC (either not installed or not compatible) then you may face issues, however the media files should remain linked & they should not go offline.
Different updates have been released by Adobe for Premiere Pro CC & the latest update version is 7.2.1, which makes the program even more robust & reliable.

It's pretty difficult to offer suggestions when you say nothing about your Mac, the version of Mac OS it's running, or the models of printers you have. This forum, however, is intended for questions about old, pre-G3 hardware, so unless you are asking about an very old Mac, this is not the forum where you'll be most likely to get help with your problem. I'd suggest you ask this question in the forum for your model of Mac or version of Mac OS X it's running. Why does every Apple update require a restart?

I vaguely remember a time when OS updates didn't require a complete restart every time you installed one. Why is it the case now? I have had 3 updates in the last 3 days and 3 restarts. The last one was updates to Quicktime, iLife Media browser and iDVD. None of which I would consider a critical components. OK Quicktime might have something in it but I doubt it.
UNIX is a great because of it modularity and the ability to update components without shutting everything else down. That's what makes it a great server platform. Yes I know occasionally the kernel and other core components need patching and in those cases a restart is required but why oh why does every Apple update of late require a restart?
Whomever answers (preferably from Apple) please be as technical as you like. I would much rather a real answer than bull.

Well, you dont have to believe it but that's what's happening. Many updates don't modify critical system files, but those that do will require a restart. Not all updates to QuickTime, for instance, have modified critical system files, so they've not required a restart. However, the latest version does do this, so the restart is required.
Likewise with iLife, the media browser is a core utility that is shared by the system and many applications and it's installation will require a restart. There are other similar shared resources as well which can get updated from time to time.

What do you do when you get this pop up? Click cancel and then proceed to burn to disc successfully with Premiere Elements and its burn software and your burner?
Lots of questions and details needed to help.
1. What version of Premiere Elements do you have and on what computer operating system is it running?
2. What are the properties of your source media and what have you or the program set as the project preset?
3. What are you doing with the burn to feature...burn to DVD, burn to AVCHD on DVD, or burn to Blu-ray?
4. What do you click on to get the Realplayer pop up...Publish+Share or Disc or DVD or AVCHD or Blu-ray?
5. When all this is happening what does the burn dialog show for burner location? Does it show the burner into which you placed your disc?
Those are some of the types of questions that need answers in order to put together some troubleshooting strategy to help you.
Be sure to look into how you have your computer set up for Default Programs and AutoPlays as a background for all the rest.

Try the following:
1. Connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable and let it sync.
2. Uncheck "Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi"
3. Click Apply
4. Check "Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi"
5. Click Apply
6. Quit iTunes
7. Disconnect the phone from the USB cable
8. Make sure your phone is connected to your Wi-Fi network
9. Open iTunes
iTunes should see your iPhone and connect to it. Go under Settings > General > iTunes Wi-Fi Sync and see if you can initiate a sync.

I've just successfully installed the iCloud Control Panel on my PC (runs with Vista). Why does the iCloud Control Panel say "Install Outlook to use Mail, Contacts, and Calendars?" The Bookmarks (with Safari) and Photo Stream options are active, but the Mail (with Outlook), Contacts (with Outlook),and Calendars and Tasks (with Outlook) are not. I'm using Office Outlook 2007. I used to be able to synch my iPhone with my PC's Outlook through iTunes without any problems. Any help would be appreciated.
