Why does my contacts unexpectly quit when I open it. I am using OS X 10.8.3.... This has been happening for the past two weeks.....
Try moving the com.apple.addressBook.plist to your Desktop and start Contacts.
To get there, hold down the Option key and select Library from the Go menu in Finder. Then, navigate to Preferences folder.

when i open my pages app a loading bar appears and cannot be removed. i have waited two and a half hors for whatever it is to load and i finally just had to force the program to close through the activity monitor. But this problem persists... every time i open the app the loading bar haunts me. i can still edit the document but the loading bar is still "layered" in front of the open app. my final question is, how do i get rid of this loading bar and what is it for?

It sounds as though Pages is trying to resume editing a bad document, or a very large one. Quit Pages, Force Quit if necessary, and then start it up again while holding down the Shift key to prevent reopening formerly open documents.

Why does the "alert" noise sound when I open applications?
When I first got this mac, it did not sound when I opened applications, so it's definitely not normal.
I also do not think that this is a type of setting that can be changed, and if it was, I surely did not set it (and nobody else has access to my computer)

Not quite the same issue as yours... But I sometimes get the Alert sound when closing Multiple Windows...
What I do is simply Log Out and then Back In again and it's gone...

Why does Facebook come out magnified when I open it? (Huge Font)
All the other sites open in regular size font as usual except Facebook, it is magnified or zoomed when I open it

Why does my music turn off when I open Safari on my iPhone 5c?
I noticed that my music turns off when I open safari on my iPhone 5c. What's the deal?
I figured out this will happen if any of the pages that are open in safari on your phone are open to a page that contains media. Note this means any page regardless of whether it's the one you are viewing. So if you go to a site that has media, then open a new browser window and go to a page that doesn't have media and then open iTunes and play a song...when you switch back to safari, the music will stop. If you close the first browser window and try it again...the music will continue to play.

Why does my photobooth unexpectedly quit?
When I start a video, it only records for 1 to 3 seconds and shuts the photobooth window right away. Then it asks to send an error report or restart it. I have no idea why it does this because I have a brand new macbook pro so it shouldn't have issues yet. How do i fix this problem? Are there some files that are preventing it from running? Do i need to download something to make it run smoothly and record videos?
Are there any other apps that would record videos if it can't be fixed?You need to delete the preference file for Photo Booth. Delete it, empty the trash and restart the computer.

Why does my iSight continually quit when using yahoo webchat?
I have a new Macbook air and have installed yahoo. Yahoo works just fine and I can view other's webcams and chat just fine, and my cam works, but will not stay connected so other's can view me for any length of time. Any solutions?
Try moving the com.apple.addressBook.plist to your Desktop and start Contacts.
To get there, hold down the Option key and select Library from the Go menu in Finder. Then, navigate to Preferences folder. -

Why does my App Store crash when I open it?
I have never been able to open my App Store. It crashes immediately with an error notice that says
"App Store Quit Unexpectedly." It hasn't mattered before, but now I am getting an iPad so it
does matter. I dumped the preference and restarted but it didn't help. What is the next
step?A couple of things that might work are, firstly to close the App Store app completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with the App Store 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the App Store app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
