Why does my Firefox hang constantly but stops doing it when javascript is disabled?

I am writing this in hopes that SOMEONE/ANYONE will be able to help me rectify this problem because Firefox, by far, is the best android browser available, I don't want to use another browser as Firefox does everything I need, flash, custom Useragent settings, etc etc...
I have tried normal Firefox, the beta version, Nightly and Aurora with no luck, the same issue persists with each version of Firefox.
And oh yeah, I currently don't have ANY addons or plugin installed.
I can browse around normally for a little while without issue, but as soon as a Java script has to load my issue startto happen, like doing an image search on google, I believe it's album view of the search results is done via javascript, also when some sites try to load the facebook comment box on any given page, which I believe also is javascript.
What happens is the browser begins to slow down, half the screen stops rendering, the first bit loads up normal but the rest of the page shows up blurry as it begins to crash.
Then everything stops working, I can open a new tab but when I try to search from the url bar or type in a new address it does nothing, won't respond at all, then about a minute later I get a "not responding" error box pop up on my screen & I'm forced to do a FORCED STOP on Firefox and restart it.
Now you're probably thinking, I should tell this guy to send us the crash report, I wish I could but it seems that Firefox stops responding before the report can be saved, "about:crashes" ALWAYS yields no data.
So yeah, now you see why I'm so stumped here.
I have done a little troubleshooting on my own, I have narrowed it down to something to do with Javascript, because I set "javascript enabled" to false and I can't replicate the crash/hang/freeze conditions as before.
Some people would say "Well there you go, just leave it turned off and it'll be fine!", but that leaves me with a practically useless browser, facebook.com won't work with it off, neither will youtube.com, actually, most sites will have issues with Javascript being turned off.
So that's my dilemma, I hope I was as thorough as I needed to be, if you have ANY questions or need more information feel free to ask and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

I am currently using Firefox Beta 33.0 but keep in mind I've tried ALL Firefox releases, regular, beta, Nightly and aurora.

Would it be possible to gather logs from the crash you are seeing.

Why does it say my Apple ID is disabled when I try to update an app.? My ID works for everything else. Also, I thought with the new iOS update that apps are supposed to update themselves but mine haven't.

On your Mac/PC open iTunes (make sure it is updated). On the tabs on the left click on "iTunes Store". This will change the window on the right to the iTunes store. The top right corner should have your Apple ID or Sign In written. If there is an Apple ID written click on it and Sign Out. The corner should then change to "Sign In".
Now click on Sign In and sign in with the wrong/incorrect Apple ID that you no longer wish to use or update from.
Once logged in, click on the down arrow that shows when you move the pointer on the top right corner where it should now show the apple id, and select Account.
The page that opens up should have a section called "iTunes in the Cloud" with a tab on the side saying "Manage Devices".
Click on Manage Devices. Its should list your iPhone or iPad that you no longer wish to use with this Apple ID. And click Remove.
Once its confirmed click "Done" and from the top right corner select Sign Out.

Hmmm... I seem to have found the plist file that is doing it. I was looking at /Library/Application\ Support/Apple/Remote\ Desktop/ before... looks like /Library/Preferences/com.apple.ARDAgent.plist is the culprit.
This plist is a binary, so I had to use plutil to convert to xml in order to make it human readable. I wonder if I can just hack this file up a bit and re-deploy it to each machine. Or I wonder if it would re-build if I simply remove it from each client. I will need to test to find out, seeing as though the task servers are listed in it, probably not a good idea to remove it all the way.

Firefox Hanging Problem, but not actually hanging [Security Issue?]

Reposting from a reply I made on another thread so that this might get more attention for people:
So I've been having this problem for the past couple days, after I installed the 4.0 Beta 12, but not immediately. I resorted to using IE8 until I could troubleshoot. Today I uninstalled and reinstalled, initially keeping my customizations, then again without. Upon installing the new RC I imemdiately had the same problem.
For me what goes wrong is Firefox will open correctly and begin to load a page or pages, and about 15 seconds in, usually after all loading is done, it will seemingly freeze, or hang rather. Seemingly completely unresponsive.
Here is the aha moment: I became fed up with this and was just trying to get to the troubleshooter's containing file or whatever, [so that I could delete the session restore javascripts, like the support page says to try for hangs]. It hang right before I was able to open the containing folder. Instead of trying to fix it or wait I immediately alt-f4ed it. But firefox remained, and to my surprise, it worked completely fine. Normally, when its hanging, any click on the window will just make a windows BING sound and be compeltely unresponsive. After attempted to close firefox, it actually worked fine.
This leads me to believe there is some masking window that makes firefox appear to be hanging, but in reality its working totally fine.
I've attempted to unmask this by dregding through process explorer, but so far to no avail. I'm no expert, but I figured if this board hasn't realized this yet someone can figure it out from here far better than I can.
Let me know when you figure it out to so I stop using IE. Even though Firefox functions after I alt-f4 the "mask", I don't know if the 'mask' is harming my system or giving me malware or what so I'd rather not fuck with it.

Run the Firefox program once as Administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator).<br />
If that doesn't help then do a clean reinstall.
Do a clean (re)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Why Does My Synaptics Scrolling Always Disable Autromatically Sometimes!?

Ever since I first for this laptop, using Vista, Windows 7 AND Windows XP, the virtual scrolling or whatever it's called just stops working for a while then works again. It's so annoying, I have used every different driver for the synaptics pointing device, and they ALL do this. I usually noticed this when opening a video in firefox or internet explorer (flash video,) it would stop working.
Why the heck does this keep happening?! I know I'm not the only one, I read elsewhere other people have the same problems. How the hell can this be fixed???

I love using firefox app tabs, but they always disappear when I restart firefox. Is there any way to get chosen app tabs to load when firefox restarts?

Firefox 5 has a great new feature called app tabs, but it looks like I'm stuck resetting them every time I quit firefox or restart my computer. It seems to me the whole point of "pinned" app tabs is that they're the sites you read most frequently, and therefore it would be useful if they loaded automatically when firefox was started. Is there a way to do this? Do I have firefox on the wrong settings? Or am I stuck re-creating my app tabs every time I restart my computer / firefox??

Thanks for the reply, it seems to have solved my issue.
My tabs are normal and unpinned, I just have Firefox set to open all my current tabs. Safe Mode didn't seem to have this issue, so I disabled Classic Theme Restorer. Several restarts didn't have problems, so I enabled it again and now this isn't happening anymore. Hopefully it stays gone for good and didn't just stop momentarily.
Edit. So as soon as I posted this, it started happening again. More testing definitely points to Classic Theme Restorer as the cause, so I'll have to investigate solutions on that end.

Hello. I have a Windows 7 HP Mini Netbook 32-bit. I just installed Firefox version 6.0.2 (the most updated one). Under
Tools ---> Options ---> Tabs, "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" is checked. However, when I have multiple tabs open and I click on "X" (accidentally one time), it closed Firefox. No warning at all. I tested it again and again (checking the box, unchecking it, then checking it again), and it keeps closing all my tabs without warning.
FYI...I also have a work laptop (Windows XP) and for some reason the "Confirm close" shows up when I try to close multiple tabs.

Why does the 13.01 update disable custom extensions?

Hi, I had a custom extension (a custom panel made with Adobe Configurator) installed that was working fine in CS6 (PC, both 32 and 64 bit versions) but after the update to 13.01, the extension no longer loads. I have tried reinstalling the extension but that doesn't help. I can no longer select it from the Window > Extensions menu.
As it was working fine before the 13.01 update, I can only imagine it has something to do with that specific update. Any thoughts on how I can get my panel to work again?

1. Save the original template.manifest.xml somewhere and move the original xml file back before updating.
2. Uninstall Configurator 3.1 and install Configurator 3.1.1 when the new release is ready.
1. Make sure Configurator 3 is not running.
2. Replace the file [Configurator 3 Installation Directory]/bundles/PHSP-13/template.manifest.xml with http://cssdk.host.adobe.com/configurator/3.0/manifestTemplate/template .manifest.PSCS6.xml. Make sure the name of the replaced file is still template.manifest.xml, not template.manifest.PSCS6.xml
3. Replace the file [Configurator 3 Installation Directory]/bundles/IDSN-08/template.manifest.xml with http://cssdk.host.adobe.com/configurator/3.0/manifestTemplate/template .manifest.IDCS6.xml. Make sure the name of the replaced file is still template.manifest.xml, not template.manifest.IDCS6.xml
4. Launch Configurator 3, open the gpc file, export the panel as CS extension and install it again to replace the old one.

Why does "Jump to Slide" action disable the quiz slides?

Here is what I have setup:
I have a Captivate 4 program using AS 2. The program is a total of 23 slides (quizzes and tutorials). The program is broken into 3 lessons with one of the slides set as a menu slide. Each lesson button on the menu jumps to the slide that is the first slide of that lesson. At the end of each lesson I have a completion slide with a menu button that jumps back to the menu slide when it is clicked.
Here is the problem:
When I start the program and complete any of the lessons and return the menu, none of the question slides work in the remaining lessons. The question slides show up, but the radio buttons and submit button are no longer active on those slides. Its as if the program thinks the slide is complte, but nothing is selected. I have narrowed the problem down to the “Jump to Slide” action that I use on the Menu button in the lesson completion slides. If I would complete the program in a linear way without jumping back to the menu slide I don’t seem to have any problems. The problem seems to only occur when I jump backwards through the slides.
Has anyone else had a similar problem? Is this a bug with Captivate or am I missing something?

The unfortunate fact is that question slides work best if you can place them all in a linear fashion where you move from one to another without ever going backward. We often see posts here where things fail to work when you choose to jump backward and forward in the movie.
Perhaps one workaround would be to force a specific order of progression. Sprinkle the "menu" slide so it follows each segment. That way you could also easily implement something like check marks or a progress indicator to show completion of the segment.

Go to Appleid.apple.com, then go to manage your account and try to login. If it wont let you go to reset your password and try login again if it works that time go back to the game center and try using your apple id there with the new password.
