Why does my Firefox not keep me logged in?

To remember your identity the forum stores some information on your browser in a cookie. That cookie needs to be sent back to the server on each request the browser makes. If your browser forgets that cookie, you will get logged out. There are several reasons why Firefox might forget that cookie.
Cookie settings
Make sure you have Firefox configured to keep cookies until they expire. This is a setting in your Firefox options:
NoScript add-on
If you have the "NoScript" add-on installed it will change your cookies so they are deleted every time you restart your browser. From the NoScript documentation:
Some web sites depend on very complicated domain interrelations and,
while they handle sign on on a certain domain through a secure HTTPS
channel, they need to propagate authentication across multiple domains
which do not support HTTPS. NoScript tries its best to gracefully
degrade in these situation which simply cannot be protected, but some
sites are just too complex not to break and login fails.
You can add these forums to the exceptions in the NoScript add-on. See the NoScript FAQ for more information.
Other software
Cookies are occasionally expired by other software such as system cleanup tools, anti virus software, spyware scanners and firewalls. Make sure these do not affect your cookies for either adobe.com or forums.adobe.com.

Web sites usually remember you by using a cookie, either a traditional browser cookie or a Flash cookie. If you have set Firefox up to clear your history when you shut down, you may be deleting the site's cookie(s), thus making you anonymous upon your return.
The subject of cookies can trigger strong feelings, so you have a lot of options for how to handle cookies, including built-in choices, add-ons, etc. Rather than write out a very complicated set of options, could you I refer you to an article here:

I have Mac OS X 10.8.5 Mountain Lion, Firefox 24.0, which says it's up to date, and Java 7 update 45, also up to date. I only want answers for Mac OS X, not Windows, not Linux.
The online Java test works OK in Safari but not in Firefox. Firefox thinks Java is not installed. There's no "Java Applet Plug-in" in the plug-ins list.
Since Safari is OK, I assume there's a bug in Firefox. Can we narrow it down by identifying which combinations of versions (of Mac OS X, Firefox and Java) have the Java plug-in and which don't?

Security is a bad answer. Safari allows Java to run if the user allows it. Why can't Firefox do the same? If Firefox has security vulnerabilities that Safari doesn't have, how long will it take to fix them?
What's all this about the Java Deployment Toolkit? I'm talking about the JRE, the Java Runtime Environment. I'm not a developer, I'm not an administrator, I'm a user, and I want to use Firefox. Silly me.

Why does PP CS5 not keep my preview files on my Mac?

I love Premiere Pro on my Mac because it interfaces so well with AE. However, every time I render something in my DSLR timeline, shutdown Premiere, then open it later, I have to re-render again.
I am not a novice and I know what I am doing, but I've tried everything and it won't keep my render files.
I want to switch away from Final Cut because I can edit DSLR natively in Premiere, but Final Cut seems to work better.
I am using dual 2.93 ghz quad core Xeon processors, 16gb ram. Internal 4tb raid, 3 external 4tb GRaid firewire drives for video storage. These 3 drives are always attached to my system and are always on when editing. The render files are always there and not on another portable drive somewhere.
I can render my timeline in PPro, then close the program. Open the program back up in a minute and have to re-render.
Any ideas?

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel.

Why does my Firefox Persona keep disappearing!?

I'm on Windows 7, using Firefox version 3.6.15 - Everytime I re-boot my PC and start up Firefox the persona I've had applied is gone. I checked my Add-ons / Themes, which do show the theme when I apply it to Firefox, but it's gone after re-booting my PC.
Any way to fix this?
Also one side question. Why do certain parts of this website appear in Russian? I'm not Russian, and never used a Russian language setting before...=S

Why does PDF export not keep the layout as the indd file?

I have a 132-page book ready to upload for printing. It says in the pages panel 132 pages in 67 spreads. There are no sections, chapters or automatic page numbers. When I create a pdf, the (intentional) blank page that is supposed to be page 2 (on the left side of the first spread) moves itself to the position of page 1 (supposed to print on the right as very first printed page). This, in turn, puts page 1 on the left and pulls the rest of the pages in the book off, ruining the spreads. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Thanks!

High-Quality Print is for outputting to office printers. There are a number of Press-ready settings - ask your printer which one to use.
In the meantime: Open your mis-flowed document in Acrobat and under Page Display, see if Show Cover Page in Two Page View is checked. If not, check it and see if that fixes the problem.

Why does my Firefox icon keep going to a default Windows one? I need to reinstall Firefox each time to get it back?

I have an icon for FF on my desktop, taskbar and start menu (I know.. overkill!). When I start my machine up in the morning the FF icon has been replaced with the blank Windows one (the one where is doesn't know what the file is) and to the only way to get the right icon showing is to reinstall the software. I have tried going into the properties and setting the icon to the right one but it never changes it.... Any ideas??

IE uses a different version of Flash than other browsers use. You need to install the Plugin version of Flash for Firefox.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here:

Save it to your Desktop. 
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit

iCloud storage has nothing to do with remaining memory on the phone - only memory for backups and Photostream. The photo has to first be stored on the phone and copies sent to iCloud. If there is not enough available memory on the phone, the photo can't be taken.
To determine the remaining memory on the phone:
Settings > General > Usage > Storage
The Camera Roll is meant for temporary storage of photos, which should be imported to an app on your computer and deleted from Camera Roll. You can then sync back those photos which you want to keep on the phone.

All batteries recover a bit when they sit for a little while. Also most iPod battery apps register only in 5% increments, because it is hard to really be accurate to the single percent. Just because yours shows in 1% increments does not mean it is actually accurate to that level.

Your iPhone doesn't require as much power to charge as your iPad needs so there is a possibility that the charge could have a problem even though you were able to charge the phone. If you can try a different power adapter and still have no luck, then the only thing left - IMO - is to contact Apple support and see what they advise.

I'm not trying to be a nitpicker - but what you described is a hard reset and your post gave no indication that you tried a software restore - which I referenced in my post. That's why I suggested the restore.
Many times restoring the iPad to factory settings can help "revive" the device. If you have tried restoring according to the two support articles that I directed you to and still have no success, you are probably out of luck getting any further help on this site. That's all that you can try at this point at least AFAIK.

Ten days isn't an option I'm familiar with; perhaps it's a new option in Lion? Prior OS's had choices like one day, week, month, etc.
If not being apparently set in your email client, it's possibly been set or is set by default at the server level. To check and change that you'll have to access it directly, usually by logging into that domain directly.

Both you and the recipient have to have active data connections, and both devices have to have iOS 5 or higher to be able to use iMessage. Also, they both have to have iMessage activated. If that is already the case, there is a possiblility that iMessage is down. It has gone up and down several times in the past week. Why does flash player not work with fcebook? Whenever I wish to view a video, I get the message that i need to upgrade my flash player. Then no matter how often I download and install flash player I still get the message that I need to upgrade my flash player. When I go check which version I have, I always get the message that I have the most current one. I run Mozilla Firefox with Windows. I don't know anything else.

This means you don't have the latest version installed. Update to 11.9.900.117, and Firefox will allow it: Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
