Check a printable area of your printer.
Make a (grey) rectangle that is larger than the paper size. Print it,
you'll get a message that some cropping will occur, that's okay. Then take a
ruler and measure the dimensions of the rectangle printed on the paper or
the white borders around the printed rectangle.

Never is more the point. It never works on the internet, every browser and mail client renders fonts and forms and images differently. That is why most web sites use the browser string to choose which version of the site to offer up.
Change printers in a word processor and see WYSIWG change. Field questions from users who have suddenly manager to get their document on a 30 degree slant because their document formatting resembles a typewriter.

People writing computer programs and HTML have been doing it ever since there have been computers. Imagination and knowledge of the rendering capabilities to the expected client give some level of confidence. and KISS applies. The less complex the less likely it is to go spectacularly wrong

That is what every address on the internet is, a link from one computer to another. Usually, your computer to someone elses. It is also why windows supports UNC names for files.

Perhaps so content can be created once and use repeatedly without having to copy the data and perhaps corrupt it in the process. It also allows for content to be changed after the fact, so you can do a countdown due in X days

Depends, remote images in email are a perfect example of it. Many of today's emails would not be sent due to their size if the images were not remote, and how to marketers get to know who you are unless there are remote images so they can track you.
In a corporate environment there are places where you would be sacked for actually attaching documents to an email. A link to them on the server maintains the companies control of their intellectual property. Placing it in an email obviates all of that.
So get used to the fact that email is not WYSIWYG. It does not even use the same fonts you do, unless by happen-chance the recipient also has the same ones.
What does the message source say about the IMG tag for the image.

It will look something like this for a local link with moz-do-not-send="true" set if I specify not to include the image with the message.

I am afraid is simply do not understand that statement at all. You are the only person I have ever encountered that could not include an image in their email.

Why does one image not appear in an email?

In an email with 5 images only one of them is replaced by a box with a small icon of a page in the center instead of an image and I cannot figure out why this image is being blocked/not appearing. When I right-click on the image and select "Inspect Element" I get Adblock Plus references that say "Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)" and "Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden)". Is it possible that the image is no longer available from the sender of the email? Thanks for any help you may offer.

Sound like the actual image was not in the email, but a link to the image was. When you tried to retrieve the image, the server it di not respond.

I subscribe to an Earthlink package of telephone and ISP through DSL in Dallas, Texas. To avoid the congestion (time outs and files not found) of the virtual "cloud" servers, as a workaround I connect to the Internet through dial-up on each session on my pc. There is only one pc or computer on my local network. I downloaded Firefox 4 RC and it failed (would not open video files on the Internet), so I removed the Firefox 4 RC program from my pc, and then I downloaded and installed Firefox 3.6.16, which works fine.
My operating system is Windows XP Pro.

Try disabling hardware acceleration. Many visual bugs can be attributed to issues with graphics drivers.
(Firefox -> Options -> Advanced -> General -> [ ] Use hardware acceleration when available)

Why does my project not end where I want it to when exported to iTunes?

I need help with this. In Logic Pro X, my song, when in the Logic window, lasts 2:08 exactly, immediately after the last track is stopped. The project itself is at 120 BPM and lasts for 64 measures. I, however, have run into a problem where the song lasts 2:15 when I export it to iTunes. This normally wouldn't be a problem for me, but I need my song to end immediately after the last track ends, at 2:08. I have the ending set to measure 65. Can anyone help me?

The Audio Tail box isn't checked, and I have my end marker set to 65 1 1 1.
Is there something I'm missing?

This sounds like an issue that could result from having A4 sized paper but having the printer settings set for A size. Please check the paper settings.

How to NOT display header details in every page when printed with PLD

I am printing a report of all related activities of a business partner using PLD. in the printout the header details of business partner such as name, phone details are printing in every page along with contents. how to avoid this situation printing the header details in everypage except first page?

Hi,
Add a formula field to the page header. The formula field will need to contain the following text on the Content tab.
CurrentPage()
Add another formula field, once again add the following to the Content tab
Field_101=='1'
in the example above, Field_101 is the field id for the first formula field you added.
Now all you need to do is link the fields that you only want printed on the 1st page to the 2nd formula field you added.

Why does my computer not upload any updates, crash the internet all the time and give me the grey screen telling me to restart my computer more than it should?

I can't do anything without fear that it will ask for me to restart or simply crash. I dont know what's wrong. Update load then say there is an error right before finishing, but it does this with most things. Why does my book not upload to Blurb from the Lightroom 4.2 book module?

I am trying to up load a 40 page 12" x 12" photo book to Blurb from the book module in Lightroom 4.2. It renders the pages and then having rendered the cover gets stuck, about 50% to 60% through the process. None of the photographs are starred or colour coded. I have uploaded successfully from this iMac in the last few weeks. I please advise.

I have had the same problem for a week. I have made about 25 attempts to upload an admittedly large book, and finally got one over to Blurb. The next problem is that some of the pictures are upside down! Blurb are referring me to Lightroom support as they say they only print the books. Some of the messages I got when trying to upload the books were general failure messages, but some said "problem with Blurb servers".

Create print.css that repeats the content twice on page when printed

Clear as mud, right? I have a form that the user can fill in and then print to bring to the office. They need two copies. It fits on half of the page and could be printed twice on one page and then torn in half in the office. This would save the user paper.
I have a @media print css that removes everything from the page except the content div and it works fine. Is there a way to repeat that div twice on the page via the css?
Here's the css code:

I have never tried to do anything like that in Dreamweaver - this is more a printer management thing. Can you not set the printer up to tile the page so it displays 2 copies on each page?
Having said that, the only workaround I can think of (someone else might have another idea) is to duplicate your content div in the HTML and position it under your first, then {display:none} the 2nd div in screen.css and turn it on with the print.css.
Edit:// Having read a little closer, this would only work with static content. The fact you are using a form would be more difficult as you would need to populate both divs with their content.

Why does my sync not complete after step 4 of 4 when it says "waiting for changes to be applied"?
I have tried to sync four different iPhones including three 4S and one 5. It does not work for any of them but does not come up with any error message. There is enough room on all of the phone and I have only selected some song, albums, artists and playlists from my music to sync as to not go over the capacity.

iChat uses several port as they are called over the internet to do different things
Text Chats and Video Chats are on different Ports.
You probably don't have the port open.
Use UPnP in your router if it has it.

Why does my iPad2 not display the WiFi icon? I have implemented ALL of the troubleshooting tips, but my WiFi icon is still missing, and it will NOT recognize the internet connection that I know to work on my computer and iPhone.

Try the following:
1. Reset the AirPlay devices
2. Reboot the router
3. Reboot the iPad
Note: The AirPlay icon is now in the Control Center
