Why does my ipad 3 crashes so much after installing ios 8?

Since i updated my ipad 3 (64 gb wifi) ios version: 8.1.1 (12B435), its verry slow, the keyboard lags and the worst thing is that it crashes +- 5 tmes a day. At Diagnostics & Usage Data there are a lot (date-date-date)-(random number).panic.ips files and a lot LaestCrash-(app name) files. I have never jailbreaked it or something. I also have reduced motion. Can someone help me cause my ipad is really useless.
(sorry for the bad english)

Hi GreenGroen,
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with the recent iOS 8 update. I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact scope of the issues you are describing. If you are having widespread slowness, lagging, or crashing issues with your iPad after a recent upgrade to iOS 8.1.1, you may want to first try resetting your device:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If you are still having issues after a reset, you may want to make sure you have a current backup of your data in iTunes, then try restoring your iPad to factory settings and testing it in that default condition to see if the issues persists before restoring your data. You may find the following article helpful:
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings

- Brenden

  • HT4623 why am i experiencing short battey life after installing ios 7?

why am i experiencing short battey life with my IPad after installing ios 7 1 ?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • IPad crashing and freezing after 8  ios updates

My iPad 1 has been crashing and freezing after completing the most recent ios updates, what could be wrong?

Can there be any person who can say that Apple treats customers as valuable persons ?
Way how IPAD 2 users are treated, served and issues solved shows clearly how they just care of new purchases. All crashes, slowness, battery consumption, extremely bad user experience with slow and jamming UI etc... Anyway this is over now with me as I'm moving out from IPAD / IOS due this experience. Ride was a good but now its over as trust is totally destroyed by Apple.

  • Ipad 1 slows down after installing IOS 5

Adter installing IOS 5 my Ipad 1 slows down considerably. Apps take time to start and especially the writing is so slow that I actually I cannot use the Pad anyomore. I udgraded only because I could not update imoorstant apps (keypad, pages) anymore with the old operating system. But this is no solution. Anyone elseexperiencing this problem or am I the only one?

    it just doesn't work...
I used Pages and Keynote and Garageband extensively in ios4, with few problems. now, in ios5 they take quite literally several minutes to load, if they don't crash (usually a 50% chance).
I have been to my local Genius Bar and they suggested "restoring as new", as opposed to "restoring with backup". i took this advice, and did both (post ios5 upgrade) and performance is still just awful.
really loved this device up until now, and could even reliably use it for work. at the moment i have an expensive paperweight and am not at all pleased.
seems i have company here. are you listening apple?

  • Why does my ipad crash after every update

Every time I update my Ipad with the latest OS it crashes. It has happened 3 times and it took many attempts at reinstalling, etc. to get it back to normal. Therefore I have not updated in about a year or so. I decided to try once again and once more with no luck. I connected the Ipad to the computer, backed it up and then connected again to update. I arrived at the "Welcome to your new Ipad" screen and all seemed to be going well. The popup read "Restoring Ipad from backup", with 40 minutes remaining. Then a error message appeared: "ITunes could not restore the Ipad...because the backup could not be saved on the computer". Anyway, I managed to get things up and running but lost all photos that were on the "camera roll" and I lost years of progress on many game apps. Now when I connect the Ipad to the computer and look for a backup restore point, there is only one for the year 2013 and it was the one immediately following the new update??? I have connected this Ipad fifty time or more this year and ITunes says it is backing up the Ipad to the computer???? Where are all my backups and pictures and years of progress on game apps???

  • Why does my iPad crash after new update

I updated my iPad with a new software update, but now it randomly goes to the home screen while I am viewing a page in safari or watching a YouTube video. Do I need to take it in to have it looked at, or is it a simple fix? I just installed the update this morning.

  • Why does my iPad show music files after unsyncing all music?

I've got major issues with trying to get my iPad to sync music, but noticed that after I've unsynced ALL music, my iPad still shows 11 music files. They're not showing in my music content as playable tracks. How do I get these files off my iPad?
Background: I believe these files are an album I bought from iTunes on my iPad. But these files wouldn't copy across to my iTunes library on my PC, and I can't view my purchases in the Store without iTunes crashing. So the album seems to be trapped in the depths of my iPad somewhere.
My problems with syncing music started after this, so I am hoping that getting rid of these files will resolve my other syncing issues. If not, I'll tackle those later. First step, how do I get rid of these music files?

How Do I Get Rid Of The “Other” Data Stored On My iPad Or iPhone?
    http://tinyurl.com/85w6xwn
With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5/6, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

My iPad 2. Consistently crashes everyday when running applications or even just scrolling thru pictures. How do I fix this?

Could be one app or more causing the crashes.
    Restore your iPad as new.

Then re sync 5 apps at a time, test the iPad.
Or just try restoring as you normally would and see if that helps.

  • Why does iPhone/Ipad still sync email after changing Exchange\Windows Server AD password !?

Has anyone noticed this issue before? A user changes their office network password but it takes anywhere from 2 days to more than a week before the iPhone notices and prompts the user to enter their new password. But not only that, users can still access their e-mail account and send and receive e-mail with their old password.
We are using MS Exchange 2010. Other phones like samsung galaxy and nokia e72 immidiatly prompt for a new password, after changing the password on the windows machines.
    Please help.
    Marc

I would recommend as soon as you restore the iPad go in and delete the exchange account from your device.  It may have a cached entry causing the wipe command to continue to execute.  You may ultimately need to restore it without the backup and set the account up again.

  • Why does my iPad mini go haywire after 30 min continuous use?

If I play Candy Crush for about 30 minutes straight, my iPad mini suddenly goes haywire like the touchscreen isn't lined up and I can't move certain pieces and other pieces move on their own.  It's almost like watching my screen being remotely accessed by an IT person.   Even when I close out of Candy Crush, no matter what app I go into, it seems to have a mind of it's own, and picks and chooses which buttons to push.  I stop using it and come back in an hour or so and it works again.  I've tried rebooting and it still happens.  I just got this iPad mini 2 weeks ago.  Is it defective?  Is it the app?

  • Why does my iPad say No SIM card installed?

When I plugged in my ipad to charge a message came up that said:  No SIM card installed.  Is this OK?

Check the right and left sides of your iPad for a small hole the size of a paper clip (remove your smart cover if you have one).  If you see this, then you have the wifi + cellular model.  If you do, use a paper clip to remove the sim tray (or the sim removal tool that came with your iPad if you have it) as shown in the image below.
If the tray has a sim card in it, push the sim tray back in to re-seat it in the side of the iPad, then turn it on to see if the error message re-appears.  If it re-appears, take it to a Verizon store and have them give you a new sim card.
If you have a sim tray but it is empty, you'll need to go to a Verizon store to get a sim card for it.
