Why does my ipad air say 10.6 GB used and 2.2 GIG available when its a 16 Gig ipad. Cant figure it out. please help

Out of the box, your iPad only had about 13.5GB of available space.
There are several factors that affect the amount of storage space on an iPad. First is the true amount of space on a hard drive. There is a math difference in how companies spec hard drive size and the true amount of available space. Second the iPad has some pre-installed apps that take up space. My 16GB iPad 2 started out with only 13.5GB of available space.

At this time there is no "solution." You'll simply have to wait the 90 days to re-enable iTunes Match.
For now here is my suggestion. In your User Account, in OS X, sign out of whatever iTunes Store account you are signed in with. Then sign in with your store account and leave it at that. Now sign out of your OS X User Account, sign into your wife's OS X User Account and sign into the iTunes Store with her Apple ID (if necessary sign out of the account first).
Now, you can go back to your OS X User Account and attempt to enable iTunes Match. You will probably get the "wait 90 days" message. If so leave it, mark your calendar, and wait for the 90 days to expire. You can try contacting iTunes Store support at <https://expresslane.apple.com> if you wish, but I really do not know how useful that will be.
Incidentally, you get the message to pay for the service when trying to enable it on your wife's Apple ID because the service has not been purchased using that Apple ID. iTunes Match is designed to be a single-user service that is never signed out of and is associated with one, and only one, Apple ID and a regional store.

Hello, I had the same problem (repeatedly) until I did this, it works!
Remove sim, very very lightly rub the sim card's contacts (the metallic parts) with a standard pencil eraser. I suspect its just a micro-residue from the manufacturing process interfering with complete contact.

It sounds like you have a cellular data plan and there is no service where you currently are.

Cellular data is used for data communication in cellular networks. It does not affect your ability to make or receive phone calls or to use Wi-Fi networks for Internet connectivity. If you turn off cellular data, you will be unable to:
See the cellular data icons in the status bar (for example, LTE or 3G).
Send or receive MMS messages. However, you can still send and receive SMS and iMessages if you're connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Retrieve or listen to new Visual Voicemail messages. To retrieve these messages, enable Cellular Data.
Use Personal Hotspot.
You can adjust this setting by going to:

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

If you want to avoid paying for additional iCloud storage you can backup to your computer. Start the latest version of iTunes on your computer, connect your iPad, select General from the row of tab that are presented, then select your backup option.

So, I'm spending hours working on a presentation using Keynote 6.5.2 on my MacBook Air running Yosemite 10.10.1. Saving my work as I go along. The file was saved in my iCloud Drive. I recently "upgraded" to iCloud Drive. This was a newly created Keynote file, created after I began using iCloud drive.
All of a sudden for no reason Keynote says "This document can no longer be used because its file has become unreadable, so it must be closed." I had only one option, to click the button and close the file.
Now the file can't be reopened on my Mac. When I try to open the file from the Finder, Keynote says "The file couldn’t be opened" (with the file's title in there). The file is found in my "Keynote" folder that lives inside "iCloud Drive."
Mysteriously, when I visit icloud.com and go to my iCloud Drive, the file is not inside my Keynote folder. It's by itself at the top level inside the iCloud Drive folder. And the file does open in my web browser.
Why does my Mac suddenly decide it won't let me open or work on this Keynote file? What's going on, any suggestions?

Just an update, a workaround to this problem was to download the Keynote file to my Mac and save that copy of the document on my Mac, not in iCloud Drive. I have been able to work with the document just fine since then, with Keynote on my Mac. This just means doing without the syncing benefits of iCloud Drive. Seems this problem was more with iCloud Drive itself than with Keynote.
iCloud Drive did have the most recent, up-to-the-minute copy of my work online when I visited it via the web. I was able to work with the file with the Keynote beta program in the web browser, but that program is missing some of the features of the desktop version.
The original problem of the file becoming unreadable has been solved by this workaround. But it is still a bug. I reported it through Apple feedback and hope they will fix this.
