Why does my iPad say printer no longer available?

Why does my iPad say printer no longer available?

The printer is either off or no longer on the same network as iPad.
Try rebooting router and printer.

  • HT5824 why does my ipad say user name disabled, but on all other devices i can pog into itunes and icloud using my user name

why does my ipad say user name disabled but i can use my user name to log into itunes and icloud on other devices

At this time there is no "solution." You'll simply have to wait the 90 days to re-enable iTunes Match.
For now here is my suggestion. In your User Account, in OS X, sign out of whatever iTunes Store account you are signed in with. Then sign in with your store account and leave it at that. Now sign out of your OS X User Account, sign into your wife's OS X User Account and sign into the iTunes Store with her Apple ID (if necessary sign out of the account first).
Now, you can go back to your OS X User Account and attempt to enable iTunes Match. You will probably get the "wait 90 days" message. If so leave it, mark your calendar, and wait for the 90 days to expire. You can try contacting iTunes Store support at <https://expresslane.apple.com> if you wish, but I really do not know how useful that will be.
Incidentally, you get the message to pay for the service when trying to enable it on your wife's Apple ID because the service has not been purchased using that Apple ID. iTunes Match is designed to be a single-user service that is never signed out of and is associated with one, and only one, Apple ID and a regional store.

  • Why does my ipad say i cant make anymore apple ids or and i cloud account

Why does my ipad say i cant make anymore applie ids or an i cloud account abd how do i get an account HELP please !!!!!

Hello, I had the same problem (repeatedly) until I did this, it works!
Remove sim, very very lightly rub the sim card's contacts (the metallic parts) with a standard pencil eraser. I suspect its just a micro-residue from the manufacturing process interfering with complete contact.

Why does my iPad say " No SIM " in the upper left corner ?

    Hi Edwardtracey,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
It sounds like you have a cellular data plan and there is no service where you currently are.
The article below will explain this feature and how to turn the setting on/off.
The article has more details and screenshots, but I've quoted highlights below for you:
iOS: About the Cellular Data setting
Cellular data is used for data communication in cellular networks. It does not affect your ability to make or receive phone calls or to use Wi-Fi networks for Internet connectivity. If you turn off cellular data, you will be unable to:
See the cellular data icons in the status bar (for example, LTE or 3G).
Send or receive MMS messages. However, you can still send and receive SMS and iMessages if you're connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Retrieve or listen to new Visual Voicemail messages. To retrieve these messages, enable Cellular Data.
    Use Personal Hotspot.
You can adjust this setting by going to:
    iPad: Settings > Cellular
    Additional Information
You can also enable or disable cellular data for certain iOS features from this setting:
I hope this information helps ....
    Have a great day!

  • Why does my ipad say 10.6 gig used and 2.2 available

Why does my ipad air say 10.6 GB used and 2.2 GIG available when its a 16 Gig ipad. Cant figure it out. please help

Out of the box, your iPad only had about 13.5GB of available space.
There are several factors that affect the amount of storage space on an iPad. First is the true amount of space on a hard drive. There is a math difference in how companies spec hard drive size and the true amount of available space. Second the iPad has some pre-installed apps that take up space. My 16GB iPad 2 started out with only 13.5GB of available space.

  • Why does my iPad say "outside of the United States"?

    Any ideas?

OK. I give up. Where does your iPad say "outside of the United States"?  And does the iPad speak this to you? .... you hear a voice saying this? Or do you see this on the screen?????

  • Why does my iPad say it needs 1.4GB more storage to back up when I have 7.9GB of space available of my 20GB storage icloud storage?

MMy iPad says it needs 1.4GB more storage to do a back up but I have 7.9GB available of my 20GB storage icloud storage?

If you want to avoid paying for additional iCloud storage you can backup to your computer. Start the latest version of iTunes on your computer, connect your iPad, select General from the row of tab that are presented, then select your backup option.

  • Why does my ipad say I have no photos when itunes says I have 2200 photos on my ipad?

When I sync my iPad2 with iTunes, iTunes shows that I have 2000+ photos synced to my iPad, but when I go to look at photos on my iPad, it says that there are no photos.  Anyone know how I can find the photos on my iPad?

I had this problem, too. It was on my phone, though, but it seems to be a problem that many people have.
I have fixed it. It cost me 99 cents.
My phone said I had 247 photos/videos. Itunes said I had 1700+. Both said that Photos & Video were taking up 10.8 GB of storage.
On my phone, I went to Settings --> iCloud --> Storage --> Change Storage Plan
    I selected the 20GB plan for $0.99 a month
Then, I went to Settings --> iCloud --> Photos
I enabled My Photo Stream (slider to the right/green)
Then, I got on WiFi. I don't know how long it took, certainly not long enough to upload gigabytes of data, but I saw that my Photos & Camera app was using a far more reasonable amount of storage (1.3 GB, rather than 10.8 GB). I checked this by going to
Settings --> General --> Usage --> Manage Storage
Because I don't want the 20GB iCloud plan, I went back to
Settings --> iCloud --> Storage --> Change Storage Plan --> Downgrade Options (at the bottom)
... and I selected the 5 GB Free plan again.
    Now for a little rant.
I am very unhappy that I had to give Apple one thin dime to have this fixed. After spending a couple of hours trying to figure out why I can barely use any storage on my phone, I had to pay to fix it. Ridiculous.
I still enjoy using Apple products, but I enjoy using them less and less over time. Not only is every release of iTunes less usable than the previous one, the last one wouldn't even install on my machine. That was about another six hours lost trying to figure out the problem.

  • Why does my iPad say plug into iTunes

When I turn my Ipad on it has a symbol saying plug into iTunes, does anyone know why this is?

There's really only one reason that would be on your screen,  your iPad was reset/wiped for some reason.   If you have a security profile on it (because of company email using Active Sync for example) and it was set to wipe the device after a certain number of invalid unlock attempts, that would do the trick if son were to have entered the wrong unlock code enough times.

  • Why does my iPad say I am restricted from face time.  I have tried to reset restrictions 50 times

Why am I restricted from using face time.  I have tried to restore and reboot and rest restrictions. Help

If you have the WiFi-only iPad (which does not have GPS) your location is determined by the mapped location of nearby WiFi routers.
Without GPS location-finding is done by using a Apple location database which contains the MAC addresses of routers and their physical location. A MAC address is a unique number which is built-in to all network devices when manufactured.
The Apple database is built and updated by Apple GPS-enabled devices (primarily iPhones) actually seeing routers and then adding/updating the router's locations into the database.
Note to be used for location determination, a device does not need to be actually connected to a router, it just has to see the router. More precise location determination can be done if several nearby routers can be seen. When a router is moved from one location to another erroneous locations can sometimes be reported until the router's location is corrected in Apple's database. This may be the source of your problem.

  • Why does my iPad say it's not charging even though it's plugged in?

Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

If you are trying to charge from a USB port on your computer, the port may not supply enough power to charge the iPad. It may even be charging but very very slowly and it will say not charging. You should use the power adapter that came with the iPad and plug the adapter into  a wall socket for the most efficient way to charge.
    This artcle will explain it
