Why does my iPhone 4 not charge correctly? Problem is definitely with the phone and not charges or chords. Phone will charge but very slowly and no icon comes on. Computer and iTunes doesn't recognize it a being connected.
My iPhone 4 quit charging correctly. It does charge but very slowly and icon doesn't indicate it as charging. I've checked cables and charges and the problem is definetily with the phone. My car stereo no longer recognizes it as a device. Neither does the computer. The real strange thing to me is that when I plug it into my old klispch speaker dock it will play songs. My battery life is good when it is charged so I don't think its the battery. I've tried resetting the phone and cleaning the charging port. I'm out of warranty.
Would disconnecting the battery possibly reset it from some glitch or is the charging port got some bad contacts?
I checked with the Genius Bar. It was a new dilema to the lady that was helping me. She took it to a back room and worked on it but it came out the same. She gave me some options for repair or credit for replacement.
I just kept the phone and put up with slowly charging it by plugging it in and then turning it off.
I couldn't transfer anything from itunes.
I finally got fed up and bought a new charging port for $10. and a toolkit for $3. I looked up a video on youTube for the replacement and did it.
That solved all the problems, it was the charging port, must have been some bad pins or something because it patially worked.

HT201401 Why does my iPhone 3G keep turning off by itself even when it's not dead?
My dad had his iPhone 3G and gave it to me when he had an upgrade. He never had the issue of it turning off by itself, but when he gave it to me, all of a sudden it decided to turn off by itself even when it was on like 80% still.
I took it in to the Apple Store near me and they said that I had too much "stuff" on it, mostly music.
So, I completely redid my phone. I reset it completely so that it looked like a completely new iPhone. And then downloaded only 12 apps and 195 songs. And, only about 50 pictures. (This is an 8 gig by the way)
Right now, there's less than 4 gigs on there so far meaning I still have more than half of my phone to fill. They guy at the store said it needs 2 gigs to run.
SO, it should have started working since theres way less stuff on there now, and more than enough space to run. Why does it keep turning off still though?
It's so annoying and inconvenient. If anyone could help it would be SO appreciated.
THANKS!!Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as a new device. Go through each step in succession until your issue is resolved.

First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the Steps in this article to force the device into Recovery Mode.

Why does my iPhone 5 crash when purchasing a game in the app store?

I have an iPhone 5 model A1429 with 16GB with iOS version 7.1.2 (11D257).
I am trying to install the game Lies of Astaroth (https://itunes.apple.com/app/id586902335)
But after pressing Install and entering my iTunes password, my iPhone 'crashes' (the screen kinda goes green) and restarts.
I have tried 3 times and the same thing happens.
Did anyone else have this issue?

LeonDoes this happen with any other application you try to download from the App store? If you haven't tested that, pick another app to download and see what happens.
If the other app downloads fine, then it's not your device, it's the other app.
Alternate method of installing an app is to download it on your computer via iTunes Store, and then sync to over to your device. -
Why does my iPhone plays louder music in one side of the earphone than the other?

So I own this iPhone 4S which is about half a year old, and from this Monday onwards I kept feeling that my iPhone plays music louder in one side of the earphone than the other. I don't think it's my earphones because I just got them two weeks ago, and I always took good care of it. What can I do to solve this frustrating problem?

I just downloaded the ios7 successfully (love it) and after putting in a NEW passcode when I went back to the phone, it wouldn't take the passcode I thought I had entered. Phone is disabled, I never backed it up to my computer so it is not recognized, I can't get into it to get the serial number, and the Apple support won't accept the MEID # from the back of the phone so I can get help. Any ideas?

If your machine is one of those that can't upgrade to the better Mountian Lion, then it's much better off remaining on Snow Leopard because of all the legacy software your running won't need to be replaced.
The Lions and beyond won't run your PPC software, and likely most of your Intel software neither, no Rosetta!
A older machine that can only run Lion is a dated machine, and likely due to expire soon.
I can't see even bothering to go to Lion and having to buy all new software for a old machine, not at your stage.
A newer 10.8 machine would be a better choice, because you know Apple releases a new OS X version every year now and the year is almost up, so if you get to 10.7, then your going to be behind again shorty anyway on the old machine, but the new machine you can upgrade OS X to the latest new version.
It doesn't make much sense at this point and time to upgrade to Lion for you, the older machine will run best with Snow Leopard anyway.
If you MUST use one of the OS X Lions, then I suggest a new machine, that way it can be upgraded further.
Apple is still issuing security updates for Snow Leopard, it's got a 1/3 apx market share.

When I single click on a weblink (usually in an email, Firefox starts up and opens two windows; one with the selected web page and one with my home page. The rolling over from radius servers only occurs on the same wlan and only when the controller deems the radius server being dead. However, if you get rejected from one WLAN but then you reassociate to another WLAN there is no mechanism in place in rejecting the attempt because they previously failed on a seperate wlan. This happens all the time with users connecting on incorrect wlans.
The failover feature is for when you have multiple servers (usually for redundancy) on the same WLAN. So when user is rejected but radius server 1 the process stops there and the request isnt sent to radius server 2.

I had to completely restore my computer (Windows 7) the other day. Now iTunes refuses to recognize my computer as the original computer that I used to sync my iPod and iPad on. My music library is gone, also all of my apps (in iTunes). I get a message telling me that if I sync everything will be erased and will be replaced with what is in the current library, which is nothing!! I have quite a bit invested in one or two of the apps, like Slingbox, which alone was $29, not to mention others that would add up quickly. I have books out the ying yang! Help! How do I get iTunes to once again recognize this computer. It is one and the same, just restored. Plus, I want my music back in my library as well as my apps showing in iTunes so I can do a back up. I'll admit that I've been bad and haven't done one in a while.

You have nothing to worry about with the apps. Make sure you are logged in with the account you purchased the apps with and then click the "Buy App" button. It will tell you that you have already purchased it and ask if you want to DL it again.

All you need to do is to sign into the account in iTunes. Make sure it is the same account you used before.

The music on your iPod will not go back to your iTunes form the iPod and you can't re-download music. (Don't click the buy button on a song you had, IT WILL BILL YOU FOR IT).
There are a few apps out there that will let you extract the song files from your iPod, just google to find one. Then once you have the music extracted, drag the files back into your iTunes. -
Why does my Mac air make a lot of noise with the fan inside?
I bought Mac air one year ago. at the beginning, I satisfied with the product. However, 8 months later, the laptop made a lot of noise from the fan inside. ThanksThe mid 2011 MacBook Air fans are pretty quiet but not silent and since they are the only mechanical decice you'll hear - there's no hard drive or DVD drive to make noise - it is possible that what you hear is normal. On the other hand, fans can go bad - bearings fail and dust an make the blades become unbalanced. None of us can help - you'll need to take the computer to a repair center or Apple Store and let an Apple repair person determine if the fans need replacing or not. If so, your warranty will cover the cost.

Because it detected an external power source. That's normal. It's been that way since the first iPhone.

Why does my iPhone 4 lose 3G signal when plugged into the TV with the AV Adapter?
When I plug in my iPhone 4 (Verizon) or my husband's iPhone 4 (AT&T) to watch Netflix, Netflix stalls and the 3G signal disappears. I have tried connecting the adapter both before and after entering the application. I believe the digital AV adapter and HDMI cable are fine, because I have no problem seeing output from my iPad 2.
When I plug in the adapter, the 3G signal will disappear shortly thereafter. The red Netflix screen will appear on the TV, but 9 times out of 10 it will go no further. One time it stayed on the red screen, but I heard the audio from the movie. Another time it showed the movie for 10 seconds, then stopped. When I unplug my iPhone, it will take a while to regain the 3G signal.I had the same issue in my 2012 Nissan Altima. It was a function in my car's stero settings. I had to go to the car's iPhone/iPod settings when the iPhone was plugged into the USB. My settings come up automatically when I plug in and I can scroll through the commands to "Shuffle" songs. Why does my 3850-24T-E running 3.6.2aE with IP Services licence not support GLBP?

Just upgraded two 3850-24T-E's to 3.6.2aE (cat3k_caa-universalk9.SPA.03.06.02a.E.152-2a.E2.bin) and I have triple checked that the IP Services licence was loaded from factory.
Even although the Cisco Feature Navigator says that 3.6.0E supports GLBP (See below) I can't execute any of the 'glbp' commands in interface configuration mode so obviously it's not supported:

Why does safari freeze when i swipe back a page with the trackpad?

1. Reset Safari.
Click Safari in the menu bar.
From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
Click "Reset".
2. Empty Caches.
Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
"Develop" menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
