Why does my iphone 4 say i have no service?

I recieved a new iPhone4 today because my other one had to get replaced due to water damage and 25 minutes later my phone says "No Service" in the top left hand corner. My first thought was to reset my phone. I turned it off and then turned it back on and then it wouldnt let me do anything untill i connected it to my laptop. I synced it to my laptop and it still says "No Service". It wont allow me to Call, Text, Recieve messages, Or even get on wifi. I have no idea what to do..

The "other" data normally contains the iOS, messages, email, app data and should be 1.5 - 3 GB max. Unless you have a massive number of messages on the phone, this is corrupted data.
The only way to get rid of it is to restore the phone with iTunes. First, also restore a backup, but the backup may contain the corrupted data in which case you'll have to restore as a new phone. See these support articles:

Why does my email inbox say I have unread messages, when I know for a fact that I don't?

I know it probably shouldn't bother me, but I can't stand the little red figure notification bubble on my apps. Therefore, I always read all of my emails and update my apps on time to avoid any red bubbles. Yet, what i don't understand is why my mail app is saying I have new mail even when I don't. The first time this has happened was when I upgraded to ios7 and I'm not okay with that. I had hoped that when I bought the new iphone it would go away, but it hasn't. I phone is said to be example : 16 gb so it shows it as such. Your computer detects the true storage capacity as being example: 15.1 gb. Not every device is the same. They don't all hold 16 gb. It's just a rough estimate as to how much is in that device. That could be where he difference lies

With iCloud you get 5GB of storage for free and you have to pay an annual fee for more
Settings > iCloud > Storage and Backup > Change Storage Plan
If you don't want to pay and still want to backup to iCloud you will need to delete data off the device until your under 5GB
To check if you're under 5GB go Settings > Geneal > Usage

Why does my Movie Library say I have more items than I do??

I have a question about my Movie Library.
When looking in my library at the bottom the count says I have 248 items. When Selecting all in the library it tells me I have 240 items selected. This is a little confusing as I've just done a data transfer and want to know I have all my stuff moved.
I count 240 in the Library but only 239 in my movies folder in my itunes library folder.
Any idea why this would be different??

I kept getting a notification that my storage was almost full so deleted a lot of photos and turned off photostream. This gave me a good 7gb of free space. I have since updated my software to iOS 8.1.3 and then started getting the same messages again. When I have looked at the storage usage it says I have no space available and am using 12.1GB. When I've added up how much I've gone into manage storage and added up each thing I have only used about 5GB.

I'm having the same exact problem as you. I've tried deleting a bunch of apps, pictures, music and NOTHING! It's bothering me mostly because I'm not getting some of my iMessages.

are you using exchange (if not then you should change to do so)
or are you using pop3 (if so change to exchange)

Ds store is NOT correct. I don't have Java installed, and I never get those Java updates in the App Store. They will only show up if you have Java installed.
However, you say you REMOVED Java. There's really no good way to remove all components of Java once installed, so you still have some parts of Java installed somewhere, and that's triggering the updates.
Don't worry about removing Java, just disable it in any web browsers you use. See:
