It was when I was typing the text. I found the answer in the "More Like This" area on the side. I swear my phone changes settings by itself! :-) Thanks!!!

Additional Audio Controls
To display additional controls, tap the album artwork on the Now Playing screen.
The repeat, Genius, and shuffle controls appear along with the scrubber bar. You can see elapsed time, remaining time, and the song number. The song’s lyrics also appear, if you’ve added them to the song in iTunes.
Use the scrubber bar to skip to any point along the timeline. You can adjust the scrub rate from high-speed to fine by sliding your finger down as you drag the playhead along the scrubber bar.

i bought an iphone off a freind of a freind and it keeps crashing on the apple logo but i found out the lock button doesnt work an i cant do a rapid reboot without it any theorys on this please cheers and it wont show up in my itunes when i attach the usb lead ?

We need more information. Is the AC charger an Apple charger or some other brand? Is the phone hacked or jailbroken? What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as a new device. Go through each step in succession until your issue is resolved.

After I installed iOS6 my phone doesd the same thing. Personally, I don't like having my messages show up in the lock screen and with iOS5 I never had this issue. I have noticed that I don't get an alert when I leave my phone with the messages window open and the phone is in sleep mode. However, when I leave my phone on the home screen and it is in sleep mode, I do get an alert tone. More times than not, I end up leaving my phone with the messages window open. Does anyone know of a way for it to work like it did before? Thanks for the help!

Why does my iphone 4s display the incorrect album artwork when a song is playing?

When I rotate my phone, it makes no difference what song is playing at any given time, the artwork and track list is incorrect. For example when I rotate my phone horizontally from a song list view or a album track list view the album artwork is diplayed on the left and the track listing is on the right. Additionally the pause button is at the bottom of the album cover. The problem is that iTunes is not diplaying the song and ablum that is currently playing. What is the solution?

Thank you for your help but it did not solve the problem. My lyrics are working again though so that's good. Additionally iTunes has duplicated some of my albums. Some albums appear normally but those that are duplicated show the iCloud download next to it.

Why does my iphone 4s play the first song in the library everytime I unplug it and plug it back into my stereo?

I did the ios7 update and everything is cool except for this issue. If I choose an album or artist to listen to, and then plug the iphone into my car stereo usb input, it starts at the song that is alphabeticaly first in the library. Is there any way to fix this?

I had the same issue in my 2012 Nissan Altima. It was a function in my car's stero settings. I had to go to the car's iPhone/iPod settings when the iPhone was plugged into the USB. My settings come up automatically when I plug in and I can scroll through the commands to "Shuffle" songs. Hope this helps.

       When I put the 'do not disturb' button to 'on' today, and my husband called me, the phone rang.
       Does it let 'favorites' through?

      I was browsing discussions around in here the other day, and saw that *some* replies were in the line of, 'read your manual you idiot,' but a whole lot nastier.
      If anyone gives me a reply like that, I will surely cry and melt down into a lump of humiliated goo.
       So if I'm being too ignorant here, please tell me? I spend all my time in school online right now, really don't have time to investigate other things...

Why does my iphone have sounds for everything but text, Including calls?

For some reason my iphone 4S doesn't make any sounds when i get a text, it doesn't even vibrate. But with calls and everything else it does exactly what it's supposed to. It started when i just recently updated to IOS 6.1.2. I've checked the switch above the volume buttons, i switched to assistive touch to turn off mute, which helped for one text but than the sound stopped again, but the settings stayed the same. And i also tried cleaning the ports. I will only reset my phone as a last resort, so any ideas will be helpfull.

i wondered the same thing.
You have to go to the "Restrictions" page of your device's Settings and make sure "iTunes" is turned on.
This is why it only happened on my children's iPods and not on mine.
The reason a full restore works is that it resets all your passwords and allows everything automatically until you reset the restrictions again.

I can link my iphone 4s to my car by blue tooth, i have capability to make and receive calls, I also can speak to mayke a voice call who to call, can i text this way as well?

There are two places where vibrations can be set.
One is the Settings > Sounds
The other area is Settings > Notifications
If you have an app set to Alert, it may have a vibration set for it.

Why does my iPhone screen dim when I send text messages?

Whenever I'm texting someone and I tap the voice button to use talk to text, the screen dims to black on my 5s, if my face gets close to the phone.
Also, if I put the phone up to my ear or near my face whenever I have text message convo window open, the phone beeps and dims. It starts trying to record a memo or something?
I'm jailbroken and I have never seen this happen before. Any ideas on what is going on?

We really do not support jail broken devices as it violates the terms of this site. That said the dimming when the phone gets close to your face is a normal function via a proximity sensor to stop inadvertent button triggers

Because the setting is turned on.
Settings > General > Accessibility > LED Flash for Alerts, turn it off.
