  • Iphone keeps asking me for apple user password

ok so I have looked at a few threads on the same topic, but I can't as of yet figure out how to fix it.
Basically I was using an app and I purchased something within the app which needed my apple password (all safe, done it plenty of times), so it started out then as only when I had this app open it would ask for my password. Now it's just popping up randomly asking me for it when I am not even using the app.
I tried doing everything suggested that I could find in other threads, nothing in any download queues, no downloads paused, reset my phone, synced it, made sure everything was up to date. I even tried deleting the app in the first place ...
I know that restoring my phone and starting from scratch will probably do it, but it's such a pain in the *** doing so ... so wondering if anyone has experienced something similar and could suggest anything else to try first?

I've got automatic downloads turned off and I tried signing out and in via the settings and still keeps asking me for an apple id.
It doesn't do it continuously, it'll just pop up randomly ... if the phone is just sitting there it may ask for my apple id and regardless of whether I press cancel or enter my password nothing happens .. it may be another 2mins, 5mins, 15mins but eventually it'll just randomly pop up and ask me again. It does accept my password though because I tried entering an incorrect password to see what happens and it gives me the error saying it's incorrect, so when I enter the correct one in the box disappears and it accepts it as I say, but only for so long before it pops up again.

  • Why does my iPhone keep prompting me for my iTunes password? ...

Starting a few days ago, iPhone 4S. Every so often, it seems randomly, when I'm using the phone I get prompted for my iTunes password. I enter it without error, get no error message.
But then nothing else appears to happen, until I'm prompted for it again a couple hours later.
My first thought was that I had a stalled download on the phone? But I don't see one.
Any guess as to what's going on?
Starting a couple nights ago, my daughter was downloading a bunch of purchased songs and one of them is apparently corrupted and stuck in never-never land. Keeps trying to download to our iTunes PC with no luck. Coincidence?
    Thanks very much,
    Chris

    It's all coming from Facebook.
Either a notification is turned on or somehow these "events" have been synced to the calendar.
The "how to fix" would depend on the notification.  If it's coming from the Facebook app, again, fix the notifications in the settings for your facebook account.  Since you're also getting emails, I believe this is where the notifications are coming from.
If they are coming from the calendar app, then either change the notifications for each event or delete the events.

  • Why does my iPhone keep asking me for a payment method when: one, my visa debit card has ran out of money and won't let me chose "None" or iTunes voucher? It's incredibly annoying now.

  • IPhone keeps asking me for Apple ID Password

I changed my email adress and my Apple ID, but password window on my phone still shows my old email ID and will not accept my password. How can I get my iPhone to show my new email ID?

settings>icloud>if it shows your old account, log in, then delete ccount at the bottom.
this will delete all data associated with that apple ID such as application data, notes, calendar events and contacts.
if asked, yes to keep a local copy.

  • HT5868 why does my iphone KEEP asking if I trust this computer? I thought it was a onetime thing per computer?

Why does my iPhone KEEP asking if I trust this computer? I thought it was a onetime thing per computer? I plug my iPhone 4s into the computer and every time I tell it to trust this computer, but a hour later if I plug in again, I have to say trust again... bug? Setting issue? Help?

    http://helpios7.com/trust-this-computer-pop-up-fix/
This helped me. Fix #1 is something Apple doesn't ever suggest to you.
My specific problem was somehow my Apple Mobile Device USB Driver got turned off and moved and maybe even uninstalled, but after hours of struggling, this site helped tremendously.
Furthermore, I could connect my iPhone to my computer but not into iTunes. It would only let me go to access pictures on my iPhone and that's all.
Best of luck to anyone trying to figure out their problem.

  • Iphone keeps asking me for my AppleID password

My iPhone keeps asking me for my AppleID password.
This usually happens after I wake the phone and/or start any app.  The problem is intermittent (and too consistant that it has become very annoying!)
This started happening about 1.5 weeks ago.
I called into Apple support and they don't have any idea of how to fix it other than me backing up my phone and performing a brand new restore.  I haven't done that yet as it seems to be a brute force approach (and lengthy timewise at that).
From what I can remember, I purchased a song from my iPhone using the iTunes store.  Ever since then, it has started asking me for my password for my AppleID.  If I enter the password and click OK, everything is fine, but after a few moments, it will ask me for my password again.  Also, if I hit Cancel, everything is fine, and again, it will ask me for my AppleID password.
I have the lastest build/version of iOS 5.0.1 installed.  The password entered IS correct.  I am able to purchase music/movies/tv shows from my AppleTV with the same AppleID and password.  I have verified on my iPhone under settings, Itunes that my AppleID is correct as well.
Anybody else getting this and/or have a solution?

Could be a few things...Some things to check:
-Do you have pending downloads in the itunes store? Go to ITunes Store > More > Downloads
-Are you signed into the correct Apple ID in the store? Go to Settings > Store and check the Apple ID. It may be a good idea to just sign out (by tapping on the apple ID and choosing sign out) and sign back in even if you are.
-Other things that use your Apple ID that you might check: App Store, Facetime, iMessage, iCould, Game Center

  • My iPhone keeps asking me for my voicemail password?

I have an iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.4 using at&t. Every time I switch wifi networks or make a call or turn off cellular data it asks me for my voicemail password!
I remember making one but when I try the password it does not work.

Is there another solution to have the phone stop asking my password. I do not want my phone to have my voicemail password.
Um, no.  If you don't save your password for a feature/function/website/etc., then whenever you go to use that feature/function/website/etc., you'll BhaveB to reenter your password.
If you don't save your password, how is the device supposed to remember it so it stops asking each time?
Why are you so worried about your phone remembering your voicemail password?

  • HT5622 Why does my iPad keep asking me to verify my password.....over and over and over again?

  • Why does my iPhone keep asking for my OLD Apple ID?

I need my old Apple ID to turn off the "Find MY Phone" option. I have already changed my apple ID, BUT my iPhone 5 keeps asking for the password of my OLD account. When I introduce my old password it says "Your Apple ID or password is incorrect." but the problem is that the password nor the email is not incorrect. This also happens when I try to update Apps; I can't get the latest updates because it wont take my old apple ID but it also doesnt change to the new one. PLEASE HELP, I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING.

have you tried to go into settings->itunes & app stores
and click on the old appleID and click logout ?

  • Why does my iTunes keep asking me for my password?

I have just recently updated to 11.2.2, and since then, whenever I try to view my wishlist, or any other personal information, itunes will ask me to sign in. I do, but then it keeps asking me. How do I fix this?

    Hey Shiukian,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Why does my iPhone keep waking up for no reason?

I have an iPhone 5S 64GB running iOS 8.1.2. For some unknown reason to me, while my phone is locked, the lock screen will randomly light up, like it does when I get a notification. The problem is there's no notification. It makes no noise and nothing new is on the lock screen. I've tried unlocking it when it does this to see if for some reason a notification has come in that can't display on the lock screen, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm currently updating to iOS 8.1.3, but based on the details of the software update I don't think it will make a difference. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? What worked for you to fix it? It's really weird and starting to creep me out that my phone is doing this, it's like someone has remotely accessed my phone! Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

My iPhone has similar problem. It may something related to Wi-Fi. When I connect my iPhone to the Wi-Fi in my company, it reboots constantly, but it works normally when I'm at home. I have no other choice but turn-off the Wi-Fi on my iPhone when I' m in company.
You can try some basic troubleshooting:
    1. Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    2. Try reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
    3. Restore it to factory settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings
